    Using jqGrid I want to generate delete links for each row in the grid. The standard way to do this is to add the links in the gridComplete callback like shown below: gridComplete: function() { var ids = jQuery("#jobs_table").jqGrid('getDataIDs'); for(var i=0;i < ids.length;i++){ var cl = ids[i]; be = '<%= link_to(image_tag("delete.gif", :border=>0, :size=>"20x22", :alt => "delete"),· { :action => 'destroy', :id => 'cl', :method => :delete}, :class => 'ajax') -%>'; jQuery("#jobs_table").jqGrid('setRowData',ids[i],{workflow_state:be}); } }, Using getDataIDs I get a list of IDs that I can use to generate the delete links. The problem is that this is a javascript call that results in a javascript variable. The question is how can I use this variable "cl" inside rails link_to view helper?

But for some reason it returns "NaN".     So I see a number of ways to display allot of seconds in a (static) hr/min/sec. However, I am trying to produce a visual count down timer: $('#someelement').html(minCounter + ' minutes ' + ((secCounter == 0) ? '' : (secCounter + ' seconds'))); My counter is reduced inside a SetInterval that triggers ever 1 second: //....... var counter = redirectTimer; jQuery('#WarningDialogMsg').html(minCounter + ' minutes ' + ((secCounter == 0) ? '' : (secCounter + ' seconds'))); //........ SetInternval( function() { counter -= 1; secCounter = Math.floor(counter % 60); minCounter = Math.floor(counter / 60); //....... $('#someelement').html(minCounter + ' minutes ' + ((secCounter == 0) ? '' : (secCounter + ' seconds'))); }, 1000) It is a two minute counter but I don't want to display 120 seconds. I want to display 1 : 59 (and counting down). I have managed to get it to work using the above, but my main question is: is there a more elegant way to accomplish the above? (note: I am redirecting once "counter == 0").

  • Measure width() with jQuery after DOM refresh

    My script dynamically creates a <ul> width left-floating <li>s inside: it's a paginator. Afterwards, the script measures width of all <li>s and summs them up. The problem is that after the nodes are injected into the document — the browser refreshed DOM and applies CSS styles which takes a while. It has a negative effect on my script: when these operations are not complete before I measure the width — my script gets a wrong value. If I perform the measure in a second — everything is ok. The thing I'm looking for is a way to detect the moment when the <ul> is fully drawn, styles applied and the width has stabilizes. Or at least a way to detect every dimensions changes. Of course I can use setTimeout(..., 100) but it's ugly and I guess — not a solution at all. If there's a way to detect width stabilization — I would do the measuring right after it to get the correct values. HTML code generated by the DOM <div> <ul> <li><a href="...">1</a></li> <li><a href="...">2</a></li> .... </ul> </div> P.S. Why I need this. My paginator's left-floating <li> items tend to move to the next line when the <ul> tries to become wider than the page itself. Even though most of <li>s are invisible because of parent <div>'s width restriction: div { width: 500px; overflow: hidden; } div ul { width: 100%; white-space: nowrap; } div ul li { display: block; float: left; } they still go down unless I specify the actual summed width of the <ul> with the script.

  • jQuery if checkbox is checked to toggle classes

    I am needed to change my jQuery code up. Instead of the label toggling the class and showing the icon I need it to where if the checkbox is checked to show to toggle those classes. I have tried prop and is but I couldn't get them to work properly. The reason for the change is I want to preload data into the form and if it's going to be checked those toggles need to reflect that change. http://jsfiddle.net/70fbLooL/2/ EDIT Seems to be confusion as to exactly what I am trying to do. The fiddle I provided works perfectly fine. The problem is if I want to call the form from server-side and pre-populate the form the checkbox toggles will not show that they are checked because it's based on the clicked function. I need it to be based on if the checkbox equal true or checked. That way if the value equals true from the server-side call it will toggle those classes and look like it's checked.

  • Get the position of a div/span tag

    Can someone show me how to get the .top & .left position of a div or span tag when one is not specified? ie: <span id='11a' style='top:55px;' onmouseover="GetPos(this);">stuff</span> <span id='12a' onmouseover="GetPos(this);">stuff</span> In the above, if i do: document.getElementById('11a').style.top The the value of 55px is returned. However if i try that for span '12a', then nothing gets returned. I have a bunch of div/spans on a page that i cannot specify the top/left properties for, but i need to display a div directly under that element. Thanks for lookin :-)

    I'm trying to check if json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA']['first_0'] exists or not when in some instances json[0]['DATA']['name'] contains nothing. I can check json[0]['DATA']['name'] using if (json[0]['DATA']['name'] == '') { // DOES NOT EXIST } however if (json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA']['first_0'] == '' || json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA']['first_0'] == 'undefined') { // DOES NOT EXIST } returns json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA'] is null or not an object. I understand this is because the array 'name' doesn't contain anything in this case, but in other cases first_0 does exist and json[0]['DATA']['name'] does return a value. Is there a way that I can check json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA']['first_0'] directly without having to do the following? if (json[0]['DATA']['name'] == '') { if (json[0]['DATA']['name'][0]['DATA']['first_0'] != 'undefined') { // OBJECT EXISTS } }

    Hello All, I have a big problem with Google Chrome and its memory. My app is displaying to user several image charts and reloads them every 10s. In the interval i have code like that var image = new Image(); var src = 'myurl/image'+new Date().getTime(); image.onload = function() { document.getElementById('myimage').src = src; image.onload = image.onabort = image.onerror = null; } image.src = src; So i have no memory leaks in Firefox and IE. Here the response headers for images Server Apache-Coyote/1.1 Vary * Cache-Control no-store (// I try no-cache, must-revalidate and so on here) Content-Type image/png Content-Length 11131 Date Mon, 31 May 2010 14:00:28 GMT Vary * taken from here In about:cache page there is no my cached images. If i enable purge-memory-button for chrome (--purge-memory-button parameter) it`s not help. Images is in PNG24. So i think that the problem is not in cache. May be Google Chrome is not releasing memory for old images. Please help. Any suggestions. Thanks.

  • JQuery Modal Boxes and Iframe

    I've been using Simple Modal and i feel it doesn't live up to what i need at the moment. Is there a Modal Box that supports loading external files and allows those external files to close the modal box and redirect the parent page to some url. An example of what i want to do. You have a list of users, you could click "Add user" and a Modal Box with the form pops up, you fill that in and submit it. That would close the box and reload the user list page so you would see the user in the list. Then you could click "Edit user" and a Modal Box with the user info filled in the form fields would pop up and you could edit, submit and it would close and refresh. I know this can be done if i have the user info form as a hidden div for each user but this will not scale well and it is a lot of overhead data. I found some code about this on Google Code but just can't get it to work (possibly different simple modal version I am willing to change to another modal box tool also. UPDATE: Do either Thickbox or Fancybox support being closed from a child IFrame element?
