• ODBC Connection String Problem

  Hi there, I am having major trouble connecting to my database via ODBC. The db is local (but I have a mirror on a virtual machine), so I am trying to use the connectionstring: Dsn=MonetDB;host=TARBELL where TARBELL is the name of my computer. However, it doesn't connect. BUT, this string does: Dsn=MonetDB;host=localhost as does Dsn=MonetDB Can anyone explain this? I am at a complete loss. I have taken down my firewalls (at least until I get this figured out), so that can't be the problem. I eventually want to change the TARBELL to the mirrored virtual machine running another instance of the database. Many thanks, Brett

The code in the handler is still run after the error but the success callback is never executed. • Database design for summarized data

  I have a new table I'm going to add to a bunch of other summarized data, basically to take some of the load off by calculating weekly avgs. My question is whether I would be better off with one model over the other. One model with days of the week as a column with an additional column for price or another model as a series of fields for the DOW each taking a price. I'd like to know which would save me in speed and/or headaches? Or at least the trade off. IE. ID OBJECT_ID MON TUE WED THU FRI SAT SUN SOURCE OR ID OBJECT_ID DAYOFWEEK PRICE SOURCE

I keep getting invalid syntax, but I can't figure out why.   I have got an(other) error while trying to upgrade our large project to SL4. I didn't write the original theme and my theme knowlege isn't great.   I am creating an application that depends on third-party library, which in turn depends on MSVCP90D.dll (it was compiled with debug symbols). While starting the application it fails to start and provides an error message: I have found such library in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\redist\Debug_NonRedist\amd64\Microsoft.VC90.DebugCRT and C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\redist\Debug_NonRedist\x86\Microsoft.VC90.DebugCRT. As you can see one of them is 64-bit, while the other is 32-bit. When I have placed 32-bit into the directory of the application the application silently crashes while loading (log from Visual Studio Output window is below). With the 32-bit one I get another error message: If I press Abort -- programs shuts down, Retry results in breaking into debug session for crt0msg.c file. This is system file and I have no idea how to debug it. If I press Ignore I get yet another error message: So the question is how to debug such errors? Please give me some links where I can read more about it or point me out what exactly I should do in such cases. I know this relates to manifest problems -- please give me a good resource where I can read about resources, since what I have found have confused me even more.   I'm having trouble while creating an In App Purchase in iTunes Connect. I have created a test user and am able to see the form for creating the in app purchase. However, when pressing 'Save' I get the following error message: "There was an error saving changes. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact us." This error has persisted for about 24 hours now. Have you encountered this problem, and do you know any way to get around it? Edit 2009-11-10: I just received a response from my email to Apple. It stated that they will start looking into it, and expect to have a solution within three business days. As soon as I hear something new, I'll post it here.

• Recommendations on resolving a cs1705 error

  I'm upgrading a number of solutions from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2010RC. In the process of doing this, I've encountered two instances of compiler error cs1705, one for System.Core and another for System.Data.Linq. In each case, an assembly compiled earlier has a reference to the .NET 4.0 version of these system assemblies, while the web project I'm trying to compile only has references to the .NET 3.5 version of them. Adding .NET 4.0 versions of System.Core and System.Data.Linq to the web project doesn't resolve the error. Removing the .NET 3.5 versions of the assemblies so that only the .NET 4.0 versions remain results in even more errors. Any recommendations on how to resolve this error would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi, I'm looking for a description of the reasons why this error is generated and what are the possible fixes to it. In my ASP.NET MVC2 controller I just added a TempData data passing. Server Error in '/' Application. The SessionStateTempDataProvider class requires session state to be enabled.
