  • What is the best approach using JDBC for parameterizing an IN clause?

    Say that I have a query of the form SELECT * FROM MYTABLE WHERE MYCOL in (?) And I want to parameterize the arguments to in. Is there a straightforward way to do this in Java with JDBC, in a way that could work on multiple databases without modifying the SQL itself? The closest question I've found had to do with C#, I'm wondering if there is something different for Java/JDBC.

  • AngularJS recursive directive with a dynamic HTML template (bounty)

    I have a realy hard task here. I am working on an AngularJS web app, which is capable of sending different HTTP methods to our project's Restful Web Service and receiving responses in JSON. Basicaly it looks like this: You can create some REST resource from this application. Let's say an exam. To create an exam - you pick a resource from a list of available resources. This triggers a function, that sends a request to localhost:8080/STEP/api/explain/resorceName and gets a description for this resource. Description looks like this: http://jsonblob.com/534fc022e4b0bb44248d6460 After receiving a response - I start building input fields like follows (allFields - array of field objects for this resource, enumValues - enum values for resource's field if it's property isEnum = true): <div ng-repeat="field in allFields"> <div ng-show={{!field.isEnum}}> <p ng-show={{field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}*: </p> <p ng-show={{!field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}: </p> <input type="text" ng-model="updateEntityResource[field.name]" ng-change="getUpdateEntityAsText()" class="form-control" placeholder="{{parseClassName(field.type)}}"> </div> <div ng-show={{field.isEnum}}> <p ng-show={{field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}*: </p> <p ng-show={{!field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}: </p> <select ng-model="updateEntityResource[field.name]" ng-change="getUpdateEntityAsText()" class="form-control"> <option></option> <option ng-repeat="enumValue in field.enumValues" label={{enumValue.name}}>{{enumValue.ordinal}}</option> </select> </div> </div> Now, the problem. I need to create a recursive directive, which would be capable of generating fields in such maner as described above for every resource's field that has "restResourceName" not null. To get all it's fields you just send a request to localhost:8080/STEP/api/explain/restResourceName and get similar JSON response as shown above, which is then used to build HTML elements for inputing values into model. Does anyone know how this can be achieved using angular recursive directive? Every useful answer is highly appreciated and evaluated. I have a table with column amount_paid NUMERIC(26,2), in a table. My old code which was using oracle db need to retrieve value in this format SELECT LTRIM(TO_CHAR(amount_paid,'9,999,999,999,999.99')) . How can i do this using ANSI sql syntax.

  • How can I filter a report with duplicate fields in related records?

    I have a report where I need to filter out records where there is a duplicate contract number within the same station but a different date. It is not considered a duplicate value becuase of the different date. I then need to summarize the costs and count the contracts but even if i suppress the "duplicate fields" it will summarize the value. I want to select the record with the most current date.     I have a scenario where I would like to randomize the display of some items. Given a Parent item, how can I randomly select one of its child items? Of course I could load ALL the children and apply some random index or whatnot... but that would be wildly inefficient. I'm wondering if this is also inefficient: Parent.Children[random(Parent.Children.Count)]? At what point do the items get loaded when you access Parent.Children?

    Hi, I'd like to know if it is "ok" to write a test without any "assert" in it. So the test would fail only when an exception / error has occured. Eg: like a test which has a simple select query, to ensure that the database configuration is right.   • IE6 is duplicating characters, can't figure out why. Suggestions?

    Problem is located on http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/ We have a dresses slider at the bottom, select tabs different dresses shown. Works fine everywhere else, but for some reason, in IE6, the letters "ls" (from the tab "Best Deals") are duplicating inside the content and causing rendering issues. I've yet to find anything that can fix this, or anything that can be blamed for causing this either. I've changed the letters at the end of Best Deals, and the duplicated letters change as well. Open to any suggestions.

    I am trying to query the following HQL using GORM: MailMessage.executeQuery("toId, count(toId) from (SELECT toId, threadId FROM MailMessage as m WHERE receiveStatus = '$u' GROUP BY threadId, toId) as x group by x.toId") The problem is that count(toId) is a computed field doesn't exist in MailMessage and that I am using a subquery. I get the following error: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: node to traverse cannot be null! Ideally, I would like to use a generic executeQuery which will return data of anytype. Is there such a thing?
