  How can I override the close button near minimize/maximize in such a way that the application doesn't automatically close. I want it to show an exit screen or something like this, so I would like to be able to delay the close and display something on the screen when I press the red close button. • Collision detection problem in XNA

  I'm having two problems with my collision detection in XNA. There are two boxes, the red box represents a player and the blue box represents a wall. The first problem is when the player moves to the upper side or bottom side of the wall and collides with it, and then try to go to the left or right, the player will just jump in the opposite direction as seen in the video. However if I go to the right side or the left side of the wall and try to go up or down the player will smoothly go up or down without jumping. The second problem is that when I collide with the box and my key is still pressed down the blue box goes half way through red box and and goes back out and it keeps doing that until I stop pressing the keyboard. its not very clear on the video but the keeps going in and out really fast until I stop pressing the key. • A PHP design pattern for the model part [PHP Zend Framework]

  I have a PHP MVC application using Zend Framework. As presented in the quickstart, I use 3 layers for the model part : Model (business logic) Data mapper Table data gateway (or data access object, i.e. one class per SQL table) The model is UML designed and totally independent of the DB. My problem is : I can't have multiple instances of the same "instance/record". For example : if I get, for example, the user "Chuck Norris" with id=5, this will create a new model instance wich members will be filled by the data mapper (the data mapper query the table data gateway that query the DB). Then, if I change the name to "Duck Norras", don't save it in DB right away, and re-load the same user in another variable, I have "synchronisation" problems... (different instances for the same "record") Right now, I use the Multiton pattern : like Singleton, but multiple instances indexed by a key (wich is the user ID in our example). But this is complicating my developpement a lot, and my testings too. How to do it right ?

  How do I transpose rows and columns in Access 2003? I have a multiple tables that I need to do this on. (I've reworded my question because feedback tells me it was confusing how I originally stated it.) Each table has 30 fields and 20 records. Lets say my fields are Name, Weight, Zip Code, Quality4, Quality5, Quality6 through Quality30 which is favorite movie. Let's say the records each describe a person. The people are Alice, Betty, Chuck, Dave, Edward etc through Tommy.. • Restrict folder sharing over cygwin sshd

  I recently installed a SSH server on my Windows 7 PC and created a separate user account for this. When i logged in using SSH, i could access all the windows directories. /cygdrive/c /cygdrive/d /cygdrive/e How do i prevent this user from accessing all the win directories other than its home directory under cygwin /home/chuck/ ? Preferably i do not want the user to even view /cygdrive when the user types "mount". Is there a easy way to do this? I want to later allow remote users to log on to this machine and avoid messing up other things.I know i can setup a separate machine but this is a plan for later.

• Uncheck all checkboxes in repeater except checkbox being checked

  I know my question reads a bit like that 'how much wood can a woodchuck chuck' line, please excuse that... I have a repeater with checkboxes. There are numerous rows in this repeater - I never know how many - I want only one checkbox checked at any time. If the user changes the checked checkbox, any pre-existing checks are unchecked therefore maintaining a single checked checkbox. I am using VB, but comfortable to port any C#. I want to use JQuery. I have been looking on Google, but only ever seem to find ALL checked, ALL unchecked systems. Any suggestions?

• Create NinePatch at Runtime

  Hello everybody! I have a business need to create the NinePatchDrawable objects at runtime, this is, an exterior .png image is received from a server and it has to be applied in a button's background (for example) as a nine patch. I have tried to create the NinePatchDrawable object, but the constructor asks me for a "byte[] chuck" that describes the patch. The thing is, I have no idea on how to build this chunck from a bitmap that does not have the 9patch information in it. Any ideas on this topic? Am I seeing the problem from a wrong perpective? Thanks!
