• How do i restore default font settings in windows Vista

  Hi guys, I am here with a problem to restore the font setting of my vista. I am using Windows Vista and due to unknown reasons my font settings have been changed to ugly font. I used to get clear fonts previously but all of sudden the fonts have become blur and font name has also changed. all windows programs showing default fonts have been changed. I dun know which is the true font of windows vista and from where to restore. I tried using color and apperance but it didn't worked... so what can be done?

  I am a web developer and I've requested our Sys-Admin to setup a server for my team that will be used as a development environment. The PHP is running as a CGI. When i try to open http://myaddress/ I receive 403 Forbidden. When I try to open http://myaddress/index.php everything is fine. How do I set the server to look for index.php file by default? P.S The sysadmin is not currently here, so he cannot do it for me.

• Why Netbeans 6.8 remote project (php) uploads all files by default

  Hi I wanted to know if there's some option for disabling Netbeans to upload all files of a recently imported remote (php) project. I always check "Upload files on run", in the project configuration. But when I click on run Netbeans selects all files by default (I modified only some). The file checkboxes cannot be disabled at once and you have to do this one by one (imagine you have 5000 files...). That's annoying. Do you know any solution? thank you

• Default Window Size and Positions

  I'm running Vista Home Premium 32-Bit, though I doubt that matters, in this case. So, how do you set the default windows size/positions? Is there a registry tweak for this? Going to Tools->Folder Options...->View Apply to Folders or Reset Folders doesn't work. So, whenever I open a new window to a random new folder I haven't opened before, I don't want it to take 75% of the screen. Is there any way I could make it open smaller? (So it opens correctly the first time.)

  I am in the process of writing a Red Hat 6.5 Kickstart disc with hardened security. I have run a program to determine where the weaknesses are in my system, and apparently there is a medium severity problem by accepting IPV6 redirects. When I implement the following line in my post script in my kickstart, I can't access any websites externally with wget, or ssh/scp in from my computer. sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.default.accept_redirects=0 Is there a workaround to this so that the system will still be hardened but I will be able to access systems that are external?

  I have a dropdown to display status, which can be Enabled(true) or Disabled(false). So I have set it in binding as follows. <xforms:bind nodeset="./status" xxforms:default="true()" /> When user chooses Disabled in the dropdown, the status should get saved as false.        Introduction:             ASP.NET MVC Routing feature makes it very easy to provide clean URLs. You just need to configure routes in global.asax file to create an application with clean URLs. In most cases you define routes works in IIS 6, IIS 7 (or IIS 7.5) Classic and Integrated mode. But in some cases your routes may only works in IIS 7 Integrated mode, like in the case of using extension less URLs in IIS 6 without a wildcard extension map. So in this article I will show you how to create different routes which works in IIS 6 and IIS 7 Classic and Integrated mode.       Description:             Let's say that you need to create an application which must work both in Classic and Integrated mode. Also you have no control to setup a wildcard extension map in IIS. So you need to create two routes. One with extension less URL for Integrated mode and one with a URL with an extension for Classic Mode.   routes.MapRoute( "DefaultClassic", // Route name "{controller}.aspx/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional } // Parameter defaults ); routes.MapRoute( "DefaultIntegrated", // Route name "{controller}/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional } // Parameter defaults );               Now you have set up two routes, one for Integrated mode and one for Classic mode. • Android - Getting audio to play through earpiece

  I currently have code that reads a recording in from the devices mic using the AudioRecord class and then playing it back out using the AudioTrack class. My problem is that when I play it out it plays vis the speaker phone. I want it to play out via the ear piece on the device. However, /index.php/whatever should not exist as it is the exactly same resource as /whatever so it doesn't make a sense the duplication. How do I avoid this? Usually I generate the target urls using url view helper, but for this I need to specify all params, so I would need to manually explode the string. • Default browser hangs

  Intermittent hangs would occur when I would use Internet Explorer to open a new main page or new tab to a site I know would be up. The browser would open and say "Waiting for site example.com" and do nothing more. If I closed the window and reopened it it would immediately connect. Over time I would have to close and reopen the window to get to the page. This would happen to any page, including Google. Got sick of it and started using Chrome. I recently upgraded my anti-virus and am now experiencing the same issue with Chrome. I use AVG for my antivirus. Empirically it seems that if I don't make Chrome my default browser I don't experience the issue. I tested this theory for over two hours yesterday. Possible issues I have found this could be but not confirmed yet: MTU settings are not correct. I am infected but my antivirus has not caught it (unlikely but possible) ?? I would like to think this is related to my antivirus but I am unsure how to verify. I don't like the idea of killing my antivirus if #2 is a possibility. I am looking for tips on how I can troubleshoot possible issues.

• How to Change the Kerberos Default Ticket Lifetime

  Our KDC servers are running either Ubuntu Dapper (2.6.15-28) or Hardy (2.6.24-19). The Kerberos software is the MIT implementation of Kerberos 5. By default, a Kerberos ticket lasts for 10 hours. However, we'd like to increase it a bit (e.g. 14 hours) to suit our needs better. I had done the following but the ticket lifetime still stays at 10 hours: 1) On all the KDC servers, set the following parameter under [realms] in /etc/krb5kdc/kdc.conf and restarted the KDC daemon: max_life = 14h 0m 0s 2) Via "kadmin", changed the "maxlife" for a test principal via "modprinc -maxlife 14hours ". "getprinc " shows that the maximum ticket life is indeed 14 hours: Maximum ticket life: 0 days 14:00:00 3) On a Kerberos client machine, set the following parameters under [libdefaults], [realms], [domain_realm], and [login] in /etc/krb5.conf (everywhere basically since nothing I tried had worked): ticket_lifetime = 13hrs default_lifetime = 13hrs With the above settings, I suppose that the ticket lifetime would be capped at 13 hours. When I do "k5start -l 14h -t ", I see that the end time for the "renew until" line is now 14 hours from the starting time: Valid starting Expires Service principal 04/13/10 16:42:05 04/14/10 02:42:05 krbtgt/@ renew until 04/14/10 06:42:03 "-l 13h" would make the end time in the "renew until" line 13 hours after the starting time. However, the ticket still expires in 10 hours (04/13 16:42:05 - 014/14 02:42:05). Am I not changing the right configuration file(s)/parameter(s), not specifying the right option when obtaining a Kerberos ticket, or something else? Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

• Linksys router cannot change default password

  My wireless internet suddenly stopped working today. I have Windows 7 and Lindsys WRT54G router. I tried to log into the Linksys setup router page by typing in www.192.168.1.1 into firefox and it prompted me for a username and password as usual. The problem is when i tried to enter my regular username and password it did not work. I finally solved my problem when I came across this post here and the very last post solved my problem. It suggested I try username: root / password: admin. For some reason the username and password has been changed. When i tried username: root / password: admin , it worked and allowed me to get into the Linksys setup page. The problem is I can't change the username or password anymore. Every time I want to log into my Linksys setup page I have to enter username: root / password: admin. I can't change the "WPA shared key" (password). For the security settings I selected WPA2Personal + AES. Also the post said "If the firmware was upgraded to non-linksys firmware - the default will be different" . The problem is I didn't update anything and I'm worried that someone installed a virus or something or somehow changed the firmware on my router. How did I get non-Linksys firmware on my router? EDIT: I figured out how to change the password when I log into the Lynksys setup page. Administration -- Management -- password. I still don't understand if my router firmware was changed or who changed it or if it happened by mistake.

• Win7 - Some pinned program's icons are corrupt, show default

  I have both FF 3.6 & Chrome pinned to my taskbar in win7. The icons for these two programs show up as the ugly default icon from yesteryear. Strange. Is there some way to force an icon refresh for pinned programs? When I first added them they showed properly, but several days later they reverted to this state Un-pinning the program causes the icon to show up properly, and re-pinning it causes it to break again. These other proggies show up fine: Media Center, Media Player Classic HC, Hulu Desktop, WMP, and the folders. I have 2 user accounts on this box, and both are showing this behavior. I have tried changing the taskbar icon size to 'small' and back, but to no effect. Edit (Add) The icons show up as broken in the start menu too, but I can navigate to the EXE directly. When I click "change icon" in the properties for the start menu entry I get the error : Can not find %ProgramFiles%\Google\Chrome...\chrome.exe.

• Apache2 Manage Server default

  I'm trying to setup two domains correctly. I have some issues I hope you can help me. Site one's conf: <VirtualHost myipaddress:80> ServerName www.domain1.com ServerAdmin [email protected] DocumentRoot /home/domain1/public_html </VirtualHost> My other domain conf is: <VirtualHost myipaddress:80> ServerName www.domain2.com ServerAlias *.domain2.com domain2.com ServerAdmin [email protected] DocumentRoot /home/domain2/public_html </VirtualHost> The default site is disabled. The problem is that when accessing "domain2.com" from my browser, it always redirects to "www.domain1.com". It only works when I excplicitly access "www.domain2.com". I have also other domains like "domain1.net", "domain1.info" pointing to my server but at this moment are not configured either setup on Apache yet I can access from browser and always accessing to "www.domain1.com". By the way is there any possible configuration over Apache to handle IP only, I mean if I type "http://myipaddress/" I get the "www.domain1.com"... Arrgh.

• CentOS - mdadm raid1 drive won't mount to default location

  I'm running CentOS 5.5, the system, boot, swap, etc. is all on /dev/sda and I have two identical single-partition drives /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdc1 that are configured in RAID1 (using mdadm). It was working fine (configured to mount to /mnt/data in the fstab file) and I recently let yum install a couple of automatic updates without paying attention to what they were, and now it doesn't work. Raid is working fine (dmesg shows it gets loaded correctly). mdstat shows: # cat /proc/mdstat Personalities : [raid1] md0 : active raid1 sdc1[1] sdb1[0] XXXX blocks [2/2] [UU] unused devices: <none> Additionally, I can mount it anywhere other than its default directory (i.e. the following works, and I can read data off the drives). # mount /dev/md0 /mnt/data2 EXT3-fs warning: mounting fs with errors, running e2fsck is recommended But when I run the following I get: # mount -a mount: /dev/sdb1 already mounted or /mnt/data busy It says nothing is mounted when I try to umount /dev/sdb1 or umount /mnt/data, so I assume it's the second of those errors. However, lsof | grep mnt shows nothing. The weird thing is that I can save files in /mnt/data. So something is obviously mounted there, but when I try to umount it I get the error that nothing is mounted. /etc/mtab doesn't mention any of the partitions or files I am trying to work with, and fstab just has that one line I mentioned above that is supposed to mount my raid partition. Again, it was all working fine until I On Google I've found a few things about dmraid interfering with mdadm after an update, but I yum remove'd dmraid and rebooted and it didn't help. I'm really confused and need to get this working to get on with my work!

• Appears to be "randomly" switching between the acl matched backend and the default backend

  I have HAProxy acting as a proxy in front of: An NGinx instance An in-house load balancer in front of multiple dynamic services exposed with socket.io (websockets) My problem is that from time to time my connections are proxied correctly to my socket.io cluster, and then randomly it fallsback to routing to NGinx which obviously is annoying and meaningless since NGinx isn't mean't to handle the request. This happens when requesting for URLs of the format : http://mydomain.com/backends/* There's an ACL in the HAProxy config to match the '/backends/*' path. Here's a simplified version of my HAProxy config (removed extra unrelated entries and changed names): global daemon maxconn 4096 user haproxy group haproxy nbproc 4 defaults mode http timeout server 86400000 timeout connect 5000 log global #this frontend interface receives the incoming http requests frontend http-in mode http #process all requests made on port 80 bind *:80 #set a large timeout for websockets timeout client 86400000 # Default Backend default_backend www_backend # Loadfire (socket cluster) acl is_loadfire_backends path_beg /backends use_backend loadfire_backend if is_loadfire_backends # NGinx backend backend www_backend server www_nginx localhost:12346 maxconn 1024 # Loadfire backend backend loadfire_backend option forwardfor # This sets X-Forwarded-For option httpclose server loadfire localhost:7101 maxconn 2048 It's really quite confusing for me why the behaviour appears to be "random", since being hard to reproduce it's hard to debug.
