  I have been given a task to create an admin page to programmatically add IPs or domains to a SMTP Relay Restrictions using C#. I spent some time researching this since yesterday and finally traced this down to a few posts on several website that use the System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntr class. Using the examples I found, I can add or deny IPs or domains under Connection control but not Relay Restrictions. What would be the commands in C# to add IPs to the Relay Restrictions? • High Runtime for Dictionary.Add for a large amount of items

  Hi folks, I have a C#-Application that stores data from a TextFile in a Dictionary-Object. The amount of data to be stored can be rather large, so it takes a lot of time inserting the entries. With many items in the Dictionary it gets even worse, because of the resizing of internal array, that stores the data for the Dictionary. So I initialized the Dictionary with the amount of items that will be added, but this has no impact on speed. Here is my function: private Dictionary<IdPair, Edge> AddEdgesToExistingNodes(HashSet<NodeConnection> connections) { Dictionary<IdPair, Edge> resultSet = new Dictionary<IdPair, Edge>(connections.Count); foreach (NodeConnection con in connections) { ... resultSet.Add(nodeIdPair, newEdge); } return resultSet; } In my tests, I insert ~300k items. I checked the running time with ANTS Performance Profiler and found, that the Average time for resultSet.Add(...) doesn't change when I initialize the Dictionary with the needed size. It is the same as when I initialize the Dictionary with new Dictionary(); (about 0.256 ms on average for each Add). This is definitely caused by the amount of data in the Dictionary (ALTHOUGH I initialized it with the desired size). For the first 20k items, the average time for Add is 0.03 ms for each item. Any idea, how to make the add-operation faster? Thanks in advance, Frank

My Subversion repository belongs somewhere else on the server, not inside Hudson. Can anyone tell me what I'm supposed to put as the URL (an example would help greatly)?

  I have a Liquid Web VPS account, I've made sure that mod_deflate is installed and running/active. I used to gzip my css and js files via PHP, as well as my PHP files themselves... However, I'm now trying to do this via mod_deflate, and it seems to work fine for all files except for PHP files. (Txt files work fine, css, js, static HTML files, just nothing that is generated via a PHP file.) How do I fix this? When I include the following statement into my test.tex: %% setting the infos for the pdf \include{home/helex/latex/styles/info_hypersetup.tex} I get the following error when running pdflatex test.test: ! I can't write on file `~/latex/styles/info_hypersetup.tex.aux'. I set the rights to 777 but this doesn't changed anything. It works, if I put info_hypersetup.tex in the directory-structure where test.tex is. But I want to use this styleinformation as a global setting for all my documents and don't want to copy it into every project. Thanks for your help.

• Do I need to enable DRS to use Dynacache in Websphere Application Server Cluster

  We are running a websphere commerce application with several websphere application servers configured in a cluster. We are using dynacache, so each server in the cluster will have its own cached objects in its own JVM. We are using CACHEIVL with database triggers for all cache invalidations. I was reading http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/websphere/library/techarticles/0603_crick/0603_crick.html and found an interesting sentence: "Furthermore, cache replication is necessary to ensure that invalidation messages are shared between the servers in a cluster." After thinking about this it would make sense that for the invalidation to work it would need to be triggered on all the servers in the cluster, but I couldn't find confirmation of this in the mountains of IBM doco. Does anyone know if you can use trigger based cache invalidation (through CACHEIVL) when you have several application servers clustered each with their own cache without DRS turned on? or do I need to use DRS for this to work?
