  • Who uses Zimbra Collaboration Suite and why?

    I am really curious about other people experiences and choices. After a long scouting, I found ZCS to be a really impressive solution, maybe the only real alternative to M$ Exchange. I'm very interested in opinions and case histories from users having already deployed Zimbra on their infrastructure or planning to do it. Both Community and Network edition cases are appreciated, pro and cons explained too :) Zimlets, addons, useful skins, Zimbra Desktop and other apps or mobile integration use case too of course.

  • Outlook 2010 Reminder Notification/OneNote Draw Bugs

    Can Outlook 2010 send me reminder alarms when the program is closed? If not, is there an add-on for this? Also, I use OneNote to take class notes, and sometimes, I will use the draw feature. When I close the program and come back to the notebook later, the drawings will shift and be scrambled, making my notes impossible to read and a huge hassle to fix. Has MS released an update other than (KB2288640), 32-Bit Edition to fix this?

I configure the workstation to accept remote desktop and I can connect to it from my laptop if I’m within same Home LAN but I can’t establish the connection from my PC at work . My question is: Is possible to connect to my workstation over internet using remote desktop? Is there any step by step resource the setup this feature?

  • Where can I find the yum repos files for centos 4.7 i386?

    Does anyone know where I can find the i386 centos 4.7 repos files that would normally sit in /etc/yum.repos.d. Alas, it looks like someone copied the 5.5 edition over to a 4.7 system. I can setup a new VM, install 4.7 and extract the files from that system (but I was hoping for a faster approach. Please let me know if you know where these files live on the net. I'm off to RPMfind to see what I can locate. Thanks Peter

  • sharepoint cannot export all fields to spreadsheet

    I am trying to make an export of a list in SharePoint to an Excel spreadsheet. I have added all needed fields to my default view of the list, (like Publishing Start Date / End date) but some fields (like Publishing Start Date / End date) don't show up in Excel. Any idea? EDIT: My setup is a MOSS standard edition, the needed fields (Publishing Start Date / End date) are standard SharePoint publishing fields. The versions of Excel I tried it with are 2003 and 2007

  • why am I seeing "ghost" folder contents on Vista?

    Today, after I clicked "folder X" in my external hard drive, instead of seeing the contents of "folder X", I see the contents of my flash drive...which is not connected to my computer. My flash drive's files show for a couple of seconds before I am brought to "folder X" which was the folder I wanted to go to as mentioned in the beginning of this post. Any idea why this happened? I'm using Vista 32-bit business edition.

  • When you add a new node to a cluster, what do you do to the default services?

    Everytime I acquire a new server or reload an existing server (CentOS 6.X) I have to decide what services to leave running in chkconfig. It seems the datacenter staff aren't using a single edition of CentOS and sometimes the default services running are different. I'm always inclined to turn off every service I've never heard of but then I think, if it's not broken don't fix it. How do you deal with the default services in a new installation?

    I recently attempted to install Windows 8 Enterprise Edition in VMware Workstation. It specified that Easy Install would be used, and requested for the product key, for which I entered the generated MSDN key. This didn't work - the installation goes into a loop with each iteration of the loop ending with the following screen: The guest reboots and the process repeats after clicking "OK". Has anyone been able to successfully install their MSDN image with Easy Install in Workstation?

    Sometimes for no reason that I can observe my Synaptics touchpad will stop responding to scroll the scroll function (I swipe my finger down the right side). I then have to reboot to get it back. Does anyone know how to fix this? Preferably without upgrading the driver - I upgraded the driver before and it turned out to be crap. I don't want to do that again. My internet connection with a static IP is very very fast (about 50 mega bit per second) for both downloading and uploading. My site serves text based contents only, no streaming. How many simultaneous requests can be handled by a medium class server on the average? Can it handle at least 1000 simultaneous requests?

    I have Ubuntu 12.04 Server edition Two gateways, both on 192.168.0. network, let's make them 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2 I've read you should be able to add second gateway into /etc/network/interfaces, that it will build out all the routing automatically, but I get "duplicate option" error. So if I have one default gateway, let's say 0.1, and a connection comes through from the 0.2 gateway, my understanding is that it still tries to respond through 0.1 gateway. Can we change this behavior?

    When I installed Windows 8 Professional Edition I noticed that Internet Explorer 10 was missing. I tried to find some source to acquire the installer but none of the sites are providing it. One of my colleagues upgraded recently and he got the new Internet Explorer after his installation was completed. So is there a way to acquire the installer? Update: I should have mentioned that I was talking about the Metro version.

I was thinking of using squid authenticated against Active Directory. There is no budge for additional software.     Hi, We have a Windows Server 2008 Standard edition server and when we logged in today a service, McAfee Security Scan, had been installed. I checked all the logs, but can't find any trace of who or how this install was initiated. We already use Nod32 so there would be no reason for us to install McAfee. Any idea how this happens?     I have a windows server 2008 R2 standard edition. The system suddenly stopped accepting remote desktop connections. When I tried to connect directly to the console, I am unable to start any applications. I got errors "The page file is to small to complete the action". Under takmanager in performance the system shows "Commit(GB) 127/127". What does this imply? The system has 32 GB ram, 5 raid disks each 150 Gb
