    I've been using the free K9 spam handler for a couple of years now, but it hasn't been updated since 2004 and has a couple of bugs that bother me: The Find feature stops at the first e-mail found, and doesn't go further I'd like to copy the list of e-mails marked as either real or SPAM, but K9 only copies the first item in the clipboard For those of you who have researched desktop anti-SPAM handlers under Windows, what do you suggest as an alternative, either free or moderately priced?

    Development of the free application Putty Connection Manager that can display more than one Putty sessions stopped in 2009, and it sometimes triggers this error when I double-click on any host in the right hand-side list: PuTTY Connection Manager/An unexpected error occured : Object reference not set to an instance of an object.. When that happens, I have to reboot :-/ Does someone know of an alternative? Thank you.

    Hi, I'm looking for a user interface for a MediaPlayer which should be able to play video as well as audio files. Furthermore it needs the following things (nothing fancy): TextView for playing time Progress Bar for progress visulization Play/Pause/Stop buttons NO playlist functionality required, the player will only play a single item (that's why I don't need next/previous buttons). It sounds pretty much like the standard audio-player of Android = 2.0. Sure, I could try to find its source code but that would require to tediously check out the entire source.     When working from Windows, I prefer to use RoyalTS instead of the default Microsoft RDP client, because it allows me to save multiple connections, the credentials of the connection, etc; as well has having more than 1 connection open at a time. Is there a similar (or any) alternative to the Microsoft RDP client for connecting from OSX to Windows? Aside from VNC, that is; at this point I'm hoping to continue using the RDP protocol.

  • Open source configuration framework for ASP.NET - does one exist?

    We currently have an old product written in classic asp and are about to re-write parts in ASP.NET. One big problem is that much of the cutomer-specifics within the system are hard coded. We want to split this out for specific customers by storing data in the database. Is there a quick an easy open source framework which allows me to set up some quick tables and simple UIs to allow me to change configuration items? We have 6-7 modules, and it would be nice to have the ability to have system admins gain access to a configuration area where they can set-up settings in a tabbed UI format, settings could also be set-up to allow dropdown, fields, numbers etc. The items could then be accessed via classes in C#/vb for use within the operational parts of the system. If not, I'm suprised and it might even be a good basis for a new open source project.

I would use this boot during travel where I surely does not need these services and shorter bootup time is preferable.     Hi, In an application harvesting (many) RSS feeds, I want to dynamically schedule the feed downloaders based on the following criteria: The speed at which content are generated - source which produce content at a higher rate need to be visited more often. After downloading a feed, its content is analyzed and based on the current rate of publication the next run time is determined for the feed. Note that this is dynamically changing. Sometimes a feed is very active and sometimes it is slow. Every RSS feed should be visited at least once an hour. While the second one is done by most schedulers but the first one is more problematic. What JAVA-based open source scheduler would you recommend for the task? (and why ;) ) Thanks! Boaz

  • How do I get callgrind to dump source line information?

    I'm trying to profile a shared library on GNU/Linux which does real-time audio processing, so performance is important. I run another program which hooks it up to the audio input and output of my system, and profile that with callgrind. Looking at the results in KCacheGrind, I get great information about what functions are taking up most of my time. However, it won't let me look at the line by line information, and instead says I need to compile it with debugging symbols and run the profiling again. The program which I am profiling is not compiled with debug symbols, but the library is. And I know this, because interestingly, source code annotations for cachegrind work fine. When I run callgrind, it says the default is to dump source line information, but it just isn't doing that. Is there some way I could force it to, or figure out what's stopping it?
