  Im saving an object model out to XML but when i load it back in I get exceptions when trying to use PropertyInfo.SetValue() because the property doesn't have a setter just a getter. I want to either not save out the properties that only have getters or figure out on load whether its valid for me to try and set a value or not. Anybody know how to do this Cheers

  I'm using a get request to get some page data but need to strip the break tags from the finished file. Basically what I'm doing is taking the output of the get request and saving it to a file but it has hundereds of break tags in it I need removed. I'm fine with running a batch or vb script after the file is saved to remove the tags but I'm not sure how on how to do that either. So far the only solutions I have seen is to remove entire lines.

How can I multiply that number by 60 before saving the form, such that the database stores the number in seconds? Then, how do I reverse that and show the field in minutes on another view?   In my application, if the user saves a file to a folder they don't have permissions for, File.Copy will fail. An example is saving a document to the C:\ root. Instead of denying access, I'd like to prompt the user to elevate permissions with a UAC prompt, but only for this save function (not for the entire application). Is there a way to do this?

  hi .. iam trying to use the code posted here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/621577/clipboard-event-c it does work really great, but while testing, i found out that when copying from some application as example firefox, you will get the event running twice, so if you are saving the copied text to a textfile, or writing them to a textbox in the application, the text copied from firefox will appear twice ? anybody can help me with this problem ? thanks a lot

• Why save output until the end?

  Very quick question about programming practices here: I've always used echo() to output HTML code to the user as soon as it was generated, and used ob_start() at the same time to be able to output headers later in the code. Recently, I was made aware that this is bad programming practice and I should be saving HTML output until the end. Is there a reason for this? What is it, and why isn't output buffering a good alternative? Thanks!
