  • Silverlight 4 + RIA Services - Ready for Business: Index

    With Silverlight 4 and RIA Services all-but done, I thought it would be worthwhile to highlight some of the key features of the platform and tools that make Silverlight a fantastic platform for building business applications.    Ill avoid gratuitous video and dancing hippos and focus on just the bread and butter of business applications:  Querying, Updating, Validating and securing your important business-data.  Ill also use this to refresh a few of the posts from my Silverlight...Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? • Silverlight 4 + RIA Services - Ready for Business: Authentication and Personalization

    To continue our series,  In real business applications our data is often very valuable and as such we need to know who is accessing what data and control certain data access to only users with privilege.  Luckily this is very easy to do with RIA Services.  For example, say we want to let only authenticated users access our data in this example.   That is as easy to accomplish as adding an attribute, see line 2 below.    1: [EnableClientAccess] 2: ...Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? • I need a backend system that is integrated with web services, is there an open source solution?

    - by Jarom
    I'm basically familiar with what I need in order to setup web services to talk with a centralized db, but if I don't have to go through and do all the work, I'd rather not. Is there an open source solution that would allow me to easily integrate web services for data transfer to a central db? I want to make a site that is powered by a db that can also be accessed by other things like mobile apps for example. What are the steps involved in setting up such a site? Any help is appreciated! I could use all the help I can get!

  • WCF RIA Services - Hands On Lab

    At the keynote for the Silverlight 4 Launch alongside Scott Guthrie I demonstrated (minute 28 to minute 38) how to build a Silverlight 4 application using WCF RIA Services and the new Visual Studio 2010 tooling. The application I built is an online book store to rival the big boys OK, well, maybe not the big boys but you get the idea. As promised I am elaborating on the presentation and breaking down the steps to create the application here. I included the starter solution and the completed...Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? • Maximum nametable char count exceeded

    - by doc
    I'm having issues with the maximum nametable char count quota, I followed a couple of answers here and it solved the problem for a while, but now I'm having the same issue. My Server side config is as follows: <system.serviceModel> <bindings> <netTcpBinding> <binding name="GenericBinding" maxBufferPoolSize="2147483647" maxBufferSize="2147483647" maxReceivedMessageSize="2147483647"> <readerQuotas maxDepth="2147483647" maxStringContentLength="2147483647" maxArrayLength="2147483647" maxBytesPerRead="2147483647" maxNameTableCharCount="2147483647" /> <security mode="None" /> </binding> </netTcpBinding> </bindings> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="false" /> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="true" /> <dataContractSerializer maxItemsInObjectGraph="1000000" /> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> <services> <service name="REMWCF.RemWCFSvc"> <endpoint address="" binding="netTcpBinding" contract="REMWCF.IRemWCFSvc" bindingConfiguration="GenericBinding" /> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexTcpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> <host> <baseAddresses> <add baseAddress="net.tcp://localhost:9081/RemWCFSvc" /> </baseAddresses> </host> </service> </services> </system.serviceModel> I also have the same tcp binding on the devenv configuration. Have I reached the limit of contracts supported? Is there a way to turn off that quota? EDIT Error Message: Error: Cannot obtain Metadata from net.tcp://localhost:9081/RemWCFSvc/mex If this is a Windows (R) Communication Foundation service to which you have access, please check that you have enabled metadata publishing at the specified address. The nametable is a data structure used to store strings encountered during XML processing - long XML documents with non-repeating element names, attribute names and attribute values may trigger this quota. This quota may be increased by changing the MaxNameTableCharCount property on the XmlDictionaryReaderQuotas object used when creating the XML reader. I'm getting that error when trying to run the WCF (which is hosted in a windows service app).

  • Silverlight 4 + RIA Services - Ready for Business: Ajax Endpoint

    Continuing in our series, I wanted to touch on how a RIA Services can be exposed  your service in JSON.  This is very handy for Ajax clients.   The great thing is that enabling the JSON endpoint is that it requires NO changes whatsoever to the DomainService.  All you need to do is enable it is to add the JSON endpoint in web.config 1: <system.serviceModel> 2: <domainServices> 3: <endpoints> 4: <add name="JSON" 5:...Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? • Silverlight 4 Theme refresh including RIA Services templates

    The feedback from the Silverlight 4 application themes released and the latest in process have been overwhelmingly toward the positive. We appreciate the feedback and hopefully you appreciate the transparency in the process. As a developer I want my fellow brethren to appreciate good design and use it whenever possible even as a default if you dont have designers on board. In the initial release we had some issues getting the RIA Services ones out at the same time but weve got those finished now...Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? • RIA Services and Entity Framework POCOs

    WCF RIA Services contains a special domain service for entity framework which will automatically be used if you use the Domain Service template in Visual Studio. This winter I tried the template with a few projects. One of them had EntityObjects and the other had POCO entities. The EntityObjects worked great, but the POCO entities didn’t work at all. The bulk of the problems were based on the fact that the EntityDomainService used methods from the first version of Entity Framework that relied...Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? • Silverlight 4 + RIA Services - Ready for Business: Exposing Data from Entity Framework

    To continue our series I wanted to look next at how to expose your data from the server side of your application.  The interesting data in your business applications come from a wide variety of data sources.  From a SQL Database, from Oracle DB, from Sql Azure, from Sharepoint, from a mainframe and you have likely already chosen a datamodel such as NHibernate, Linq2Sql, Entity Framework, Stored Proc, a service.   The goal of RIA Service in this release is to make it easy to...Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? • Consume a WCF Web Service in Sharepoint Services 3.0

    - by Filip Ekberg
    I've seen this question and since it doesn't answer my question and the topic is fairly miss-leading in my opinion, I feel the urge to ask this again. I have a Sharepoint Webpart that I deploy using Visual Studio Sharepoint Tools 1.2 to a Sharepoint Services 3.0 instance on my local Windows 2003 server. All works great, however, as soon as I add a WCF Service it won't run the code. All I get is a File not found error. I've added this to my Web.Config which is a copy of App.Config <system.serviceModel> <bindings> <basicHttpBinding> <binding name="BasicHttpBinding_Services_xxxService" closeTimeout="00:01:00" openTimeout="00:01:00" receiveTimeout="00:10:00" sendTimeout="00:01:00" allowCookies="false" bypassProxyOnLocal="false" hostNameComparisonMode="StrongWildcard" maxBufferSize="65536" maxBufferPoolSize="524288" maxReceivedMessageSize="65536" messageEncoding="Mtom" textEncoding="utf-8" transferMode="Buffered" useDefaultWebProxy="true"> <readerQuotas maxDepth="32" maxStringContentLength="8192" maxArrayLength="16384" maxBytesPerRead="4096" maxNameTableCharCount="16384" /> <security mode="None"> <transport clientCredentialType="None" proxyCredentialType="None" realm="" /> <message clientCredentialType="UserName" algorithmSuite="Default" /> </security> </binding> </basicHttpBinding> </bindings> <client> <endpoint address="http://localhost:1196/xxxService.svc" binding="basicHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="BasicHttpBinding_ervices_xxxgService" contract="xxxService.TestService" name="BasicHttpBinding_ServicesxxxService" /> </client> </system.serviceModel> I cannot even do using(var proxy = new xxService.TestService()), If that line is added, the new dll is not added to Sharepoint Services. Any suggestions? I also found this blog post and this forum thread, don't think they are too helpful though.

  • Invoking WCF service from Javascript

  • Dynamic WCF base addresses in SharePoint

    - by Paul Bevis
    I'm attempting to host a WCF service in SharePoint. I have configured the service to be compatible with ASP.NET to allow me access to HttpContext and session information [AspNetCompatibilityRequirements(RequirementsMode = AspNetCompatibilityRequirementsMode.Required)] public class MISDataService : IMISDataService { ... } And my configuration looks like this <system.serviceModel> <serviceHostingEnvironment aspNetCompatibilityEnabled="true" /> <services> <service name="MISDataService"> <endpoint address="" binding="webHttpBinding" contract="MISDataViews.IMISDataService" /> </service> </services> </system.serviceModel> Whilst this gives me access to the current HTTP context, the serivce is always hosted under the root domain, i.e. http://www.mydomain.com/_layouts/MISDataService.svc. In SharePoint the URL being accessed gives you specific context information about the current site via the SPContext class. So with the service hosted in a virtual directory, I would like it to be available on mulitple addresses e.g. http://www.mydomain.com/_layouts/MISDataService.svc http://www.mydomain.com/sites/site1/_layouts/MISDataService.svc http://www.mydomain.com/sites/site2/_layouts/MISDataService.svc so that the service can figure out what data to return based upon the current context. Is it possible to configure the endpoint address dynamically? Or is the only alternative to host the service in one location and then pass the "context" to it some how?

  • Cannot get to configure Kerberos for Reporting Services

    - by Ucodia
    Context I am trying to configure Kerberos in the domain for double-hop authentication. So here are the machines and their respective roles: client01: Windows 7 as client dc01: Windows Server 2008 R2 as domain controller and dns server01: Windows Server 2008 R2 as reporting server (native mode) server02: Windows Server 2008 R2 as SQL Server database engine I want my client01 to connect to server01 and configure a data source that is located on server02 using Intergrated Security. So as NTLM cannot push credentials that far, I need to setup Kerberos to enable double-hop authentication. The reporting service is runned by the Network Service service account and is configured only with the RSWindowsNegotiate options for authentication. Issue I cannot get to pass my client01 credential to server02 when configuring the data source on server01. Therefore I get the error: Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'. So I went on dc01 and delegated full trust for any service to server01 but it not fixed the problem. I want to notice that I did not configured any SPNs for server01 because Reporting Service is runned by Network Service and from what I read on the Internet, when Reporting Services is going up with Network Service, SPNs are automatically registered. My problem is that even if that I want to configure SPNs manually, I do not know where I have to set them up. On dc01 or on server01? So I went a bit further on the issue and tried to trace this problem. From my understanding of Kerberos, this is what should happen on the network when I try to connect the data source: client01 ---- AS_REQ ---> dc01 <--- AS_REP ---- client01 ---- TGS_REQ ---> dc01 <--- TGS_REP ---- client01 ---- AP_REQ ---> server01 <--- AP_REP ---- server01 ---- TGS_REQ ---> dc01 <--- TGS_REP ---- server01 ---- AP_REQ ---> server02 <--- AP_REP ---- So captured my local network with Wireshark, but whenever I try to configure my data source from client01 on server01 to pass my credentials to server02, my client never sends a AS_REQ or TGS_REQ to the KDC on dc01. Questions So does anyone can tell me if I should configure the SPNs and on which machine does it have to be configured? Also why client01 never request for a TGT or a TGS to my KDC. Do you think there is something going wrong with the DC role of dc01?

  • WCF - Automatically create ServiceHost for multiple services

    - by Rajesh Pillai
    WCF - Automatically create ServiceHost for multiple services Welcome back readers!  This blog post is about a small tip that may make working with WCF servicehost a bit easier, if you have lots of services and you need to quickly host them for testing. Recently I was encountered a situation where we were faced to create multiple service host quickly for testing.  Here is the code snippet which is pretty self explanatory.  You can put this code in your service host which in this case is  a console application. class Program   {       static void Main(string[] args)       { // Stores all hosts           List<ServiceHost> hosts = new List<ServiceHost>();           try           { // Get the services element from the serviceModel element in the config file               var section = ConfigurationManager.GetSection("system.serviceModel/services") as ServicesSection;               if (section != null)               {                   foreach (ServiceElement element in section.Services)                   { // NOTE : If the assembly is in another namespace, provide a fully qualified name here in the form // <typename, namespace> // For e.g. Business.Services.CustomerService, Business.Services                       var serviceType = Type.GetType(element.Name); // Get the typeName                        var host = new ServiceHost(serviceType);                       hosts.Add(host); // Add to the host collection                       host.Open(); // Open the host                   }               }               Console.ReadLine();           }           catch (Exception e)           {               Console.WriteLine(e.Message);               Console.ReadLine();           }           finally           {               foreach (ServiceHost host in hosts)               {                   if (host.State == CommunicationState.Opened)                   {                       host.Close();                   }                   else                   {                       host.Abort();                   }               }           }       }   } I hope you find this useful.  You can make this as a windows service if required.

  • WCF contract mismatch problem

    - by Tom
    Hi there, I have a client console app talking to a WCF service and I get the following error: "The server did not provide a meaningful reply; this might be caused by a contract mismatch, a premature session shutdown or an internal server error." I think it's becuase of a contract mismatch but i can't figure out why. The service runs just fine by itself and the 2 parts were working together until i added the impersonation code. Can anyone see what is wrong? Here is the client, all done in code: NetTcpBinding binding = new NetTcpBinding(); binding.Security.Mode = SecurityMode.Message; binding.Security.Message.ClientCredentialType = MessageCredentialType.Windows; EndpointAddress endPoint = new EndpointAddress(new Uri("net.tcp://serverName:9990/TestService1")); ChannelFactory<IService1> channel = new ChannelFactory<IService1>(binding, endPoint); channel.Credentials.Windows.AllowedImpersonationLevel = TokenImpersonationLevel.Impersonation; IService1 service = channel.CreateChannel(); And here is the config file of the WCF service: <configuration> <system.serviceModel> <bindings> <netTcpBinding> <binding name="MyBinding"> <security mode="Message"> <transport clientCredentialType="Windows"/> <message clientCredentialType="Windows" /> </security> </binding> </netTcpBinding> </bindings> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="WCFTest.ConsoleHost2.Service1Behavior"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true" /> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="true" /> <serviceAuthorization impersonateCallerForAllOperations="true" /> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> <services> <service behaviorConfiguration="WCFTest.ConsoleHost2.Service1Behavior" name="WCFTest.ConsoleHost2.Service1"> <endpoint address="" binding="wsHttpBinding" contract="WCFTest.ConsoleHost2.IService1"> <identity> <dns value="" /> </identity> </endpoint> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> <endpoint binding="netTcpBinding" bindingConfiguration="MyBinding" contract="WCFTest.ConsoleHost2.IService1" /> <host> <baseAddresses> <add baseAddress="http://serverName:9999/TestService1/" /> <add baseAddress="net.tcp://serverName:9990/TestService1/" /> </baseAddresses> </host> </service> </services> </system.serviceModel> </configuration>

    I have a WCF service with the following configuration: <system.serviceModel> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="MetadataEnabled"> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="true" /> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true" /> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> <services> <service behaviorConfiguration="MetadataEnabled" name="MyNamespace.MyService"> <endpoint name="BasicHttp" address="" binding="basicHttpBinding" contract="MyNamespace.IMyServiceContract" /> <endpoint name="MetadataHttp" address="contract" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> <host> <baseAddresses> <add baseAddress="http://localhost/myservice" /> </baseAddresses> </host> </service> </services> </system.serviceModel> When hosting the service in the WcfSvcHost.exe process, if I browse to the URL: http://localhost/myservice/contract where the service metadata is available I get an HTTP 400 Bad Request error. By inspecting the WCF logs I found out that an System.Xml.XmlException exception is being thrown with the message: "The body of the message cannot be read because it is empty."Here is an extract of the log file: <Exception> <ExceptionType> System.ServiceModel.ProtocolException, System.ServiceModel, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089 </ExceptionType> <Message>There is a problem with the XML that was received from the network. See inner exception for more details.</Message> <StackTrace> at System.ServiceModel.Channels.HttpRequestContext.CreateMessage() at System.ServiceModel.Channels.HttpChannelListener.HttpContextReceived(HttpRequestContext context, ItemDequeuedCallback callback) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.SharedHttpTransportManager.OnGetContextCore(IAsyncResult result) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.SharedHttpTransportManager.OnGetContext(IAsyncResult result) at System.ServiceModel.Diagnostics.Utility.AsyncThunk.UnhandledExceptionFrame(IAsyncResult result) at System.Net.LazyAsyncResult.Complete(IntPtr userToken) at System.Net.LazyAsyncResult.ProtectedInvokeCallback(Object result, IntPtr userToken) at System.Net.ListenerAsyncResult.WaitCallback(UInt32 errorCode, UInt32 numBytes, NativeOverlapped* nativeOverlapped) at System.Threading._IOCompletionCallback.PerformIOCompletionCallback(UInt32 errorCode, UInt32 numBytes, NativeOverlapped* pOVERLAP) </StackTrace> <InnerException> <ExceptionType>System.Xml.XmlException, System.Xml, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089</ExceptionType> <Message>The body of the message cannot be read because it is empty.</Message> <StackTrace> at System.ServiceModel.Channels.HttpRequestContext.CreateMessage() at System.ServiceModel.Channels.HttpChannelListener.HttpContextReceived(HttpRequestContext context, ItemDequeuedCallback callback) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.SharedHttpTransportManager.OnGetContextCore(IAsyncResult result) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.SharedHttpTransportManager.OnGetContext(IAsyncResult result) at System.ServiceModel.Diagnostics.Utility.AsyncThunk.UnhandledExceptionFrame(IAsyncResult result) at System.Net.LazyAsyncResult.Complete(IntPtr userToken) at System.Net.LazyAsyncResult.ProtectedInvokeCallback(Object result, IntPtr userToken) at System.Net.ListenerAsyncResult.WaitCallback(UInt32 errorCode, UInt32 numBytes, NativeOverlapped* nativeOverlapped) at System.Threading._IOCompletionCallback.PerformIOCompletionCallback(UInt32 errorCode, UInt32 numBytes, NativeOverlapped* pOVERLAP) </StackTrace> </InnerException> </Exception> If I instead browse to the URL: http://localhost/myservice?wsdl everything works just fine and I get the WSDL contract. At this point, I can also remove the "MetadataHttp" metadata endpoint completely, and it wouldn't make any difference. I'm using .NET 3.5 SP1. Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong here?

  • WCF: SecurityNegotiationException when using client

    - by bradhe
    So I've been trying to set up certificate authentication for my clients and services. The eventual goal is to partition data based on the certificate a client connects with (i.e. the certificate becomes their credentials in to the greater system and their data is partitioned based on these credentials). I have been able to set it up successfully on both the client and the server side. I have created a certificate and a private key, installed them on my computer, and set up my server such that 1) it has a certificate-based service credential and 2) if a client connects without providing a certificate-based credential an exception is thrown. What I then did was create a simple client and add a certificate credential to the configuration and try to call a simple operation on the service. It looks like the client connects OK, and it looks like the certificate is accepted by the server, but I do get this: SecurityNegotiationException: "The caller was not authenticated by the service." That seems rather ambiguous to me. Note that I am using wsHttpBinding, which supposedly defaults to Windows auth for transport security...but all of these processes are being run as my user account as I'm running in my debug environment. Here is my server configuration: <system.serviceModel> <bindings> <wsHttpBinding> <binding name="MyServiceBinding"> <security mode="Message"> <transport clientCredentialType="None"/> <message clientCredentialType="Certificate"/> </security> </binding> </wsHttpBinding> </bindings> <services> <service behaviorConfiguration="MyServiceBehavior" name="MyService"> <endpoint binding="wsHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="MyServiceBinding" contract="IMyContract"/> <endpoint binding="mexHttpBinding" address="mex" contract="IMetadataExchange"> <identity> <dns value="localhost"/> </identity> </endpoint> </service> </services> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="MyServiceBehavior"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true" policyVersion="Policy15" /> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="false" /> <serviceCredentials> <serviceCertificate storeLocation="CurrentUser" storeName="My" x509FindType="FindBySubjectName" findValue="tmp123"/> </serviceCredentials> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> <serviceHostingEnvironment multipleSiteBindingsEnabled="true" /> </system.serviceModel> Here is my client config -- note that I'm using the same cert for the client that I use on the service: <system.serviceModel> <bindings> <wsHttpBinding> <binding name="WSHttpBinding_IMyService" closeTimeout="00:01:00" openTimeout="00:01:00" receiveTimeout="00:10:00" sendTimeout="00:01:00" bypassProxyOnLocal="false" transactionFlow="false" hostNameComparisonMode="StrongWildcard" maxBufferPoolSize="524288" maxReceivedMessageSize="65536" messageEncoding="Text" textEncoding="utf-8" useDefaultWebProxy="true" allowCookies="false"> <readerQuotas maxDepth="32" maxStringContentLength="8192" maxArrayLength="16384" maxBytesPerRead="4096" maxNameTableCharCount="16384"/> <reliableSession ordered="true" inactivityTimeout="00:10:00" enabled="false"/> <security mode="Message"> <!--<transport clientCredentialType="Windows" proxyCredentialType="None" realm=""/>--> <message clientCredentialType="Certificate" negotiateServiceCredential="true" algorithmSuite="Default"/> </security> </binding> </wsHttpBinding> </bindings> <client> <endpoint address="http://localhost:50120/UserServices.svc" binding="wsHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="WSHttpBinding_IMyService" behaviorConfiguration="IMyService_Behavior" contract="UserServices.IUserServices" name="WSHttpBinding_IMyService"> <identity> <certificate encodedValue="Some RSA stuff"/> </identity> </endpoint> </client> <behaviors> <endpointBehaviors> <behavior name="IMyService_Behavior"> <clientCredentials> <clientCertificate storeLocation="CurrentUser" storeName="My" x509FindType="FindBySubjectName" findValue="tmp123"/> </clientCredentials> </behavior> </endpointBehaviors> </behaviors> </system.serviceModel> Can anyone please help provide some insight as to what might be up here? Thanks,

  • WCF errors in VS 2010/.Net 4 using sample publish/subscribe app from IDesign website

    - by Bill
    I am attempting to compile/run a sample WCF application from Juval Lowy's website (author of Programming WCF Services & founder of IDesign). The application is an example of a publish/subscribe 'traffic-light' application that requires using VS 2010/.Net 4. This is my first attempt at using anything other than VS 2008/Net 3.5. Initially I recieved the following binding error: "Configuration binding extension 'system.serviceModel/bindings/ netOnewayRelayBinding' could not be found." This error appeared to be resolved by amending the .Net 4 machine.config file, to incorporate the following references from the .Net 2 machine.config file. <xml> <bindingElementExtensions> <add name="tcpRelayTransport" type="Microsoft.ServiceBus.Configuration.TcpRelayTransportElement, Microsoft.ServiceBus, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" /> <add name="httpRelayTransport" type="Microsoft.ServiceBus.Configuration.HttpRelayTransportElement, Microsoft.ServiceBus, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" /> <add name="httpsRelayTransport" type="Microsoft.ServiceBus.Configuration.HttpsRelayTransportElement, Microsoft.ServiceBus, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" /> <add name="onewayRelayTransport" type="Microsoft.ServiceBus.Configuration.RelayedOnewayTransportElement, Microsoft.ServiceBus, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" /> <add name="webMessageEncoding" type="System.ServiceModel.Configuration.WebMessageEncodingElement, System.ServiceModel.Web, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/> <add name="context" type="System.ServiceModel.Configuration.ContextBindingElementExtensionElement, System.ServiceModel, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089"/> <add name="byteStreamMessageEncoding" type="System.ServiceModel.Configuration.ByteStreamMessageEncodingElement, System.ServiceModel.Channels, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/> <add name="discoveryClient" type="System.ServiceModel.Discovery.Configuration.DiscoveryClientElement, System.ServiceModel.Discovery, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/> </bindingElementExtensions> <bindingExtensions> <add name="webHttpBinding" type="System.ServiceModel.Configuration.WebHttpBindingCollectionElement, System.ServiceModel.Web, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/> <add name="basicHttpContextBinding" type="System.ServiceModel.Configuration.BasicHttpContextBindingCollectionElement, System.ServiceModel, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089"/> <add name="basicHttpRelayBinding" type="Microsoft.ServiceBus.Configuration.BasicHttpRelayBindingCollectionElement, Microsoft.ServiceBus, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" /> <add name="webHttpRelayBinding" type="Microsoft.ServiceBus.Configuration.WebHttpRelayBindingCollectionElement, Microsoft.ServiceBus, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" /> <add name="ws2007HttpRelayBinding" type="Microsoft.ServiceBus.Configuration.WS2007HttpRelayBindingCollectionElement, Microsoft.ServiceBus, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" /> <add name="netTcpRelayBinding" type="Microsoft.ServiceBus.Configuration.NetTcpRelayBindingCollectionElement, Microsoft.ServiceBus, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" /> <add name="netOnewayRelayBinding" type="Microsoft.ServiceBus.Configuration.NetOnewayRelayBindingCollectionElement, Microsoft.ServiceBus, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" /> <add name="netEventRelayBinding" type="Microsoft.ServiceBus.Configuration.NetEventRelayBindingCollectionElement, Microsoft.ServiceBus, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/> <add name="wsHttpContextBinding" type="System.ServiceModel.Configuration.WSHttpContextBindingCollectionElement, System.ServiceModel, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089"/> <add name="netTcpContextBinding" type="System.ServiceModel.Configuration.NetTcpContextBindingCollectionElement, System.ServiceModel, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089"/> </bindingExtensions> Unfortunately running the application results in the following security error: An error occurred creating the configuration section handler for system.serviceModel/client: That assembly does not allow partially trusted callers. (\TrafficLights\TrafficController\bin\Debug\TrafficController.vshost.exe.Config line 4) The sample source code is available for download at the following link: http://www.idesign.net/idesign/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=-1&tabid=19&download=226 I know that Juval's code is not at fault here and that it must be something I'm doing wrong with my VS 2010 configuration. I have not been able to find a solution online. Could someone please steer me in the right direction as to how best to deal with this issue?
