• Outlook email address autocompletion slow

  Hello, I'm using outlook 2007. Two days ago, we've enabled auto-archiving, maybe that't the source of our problems, but I still have to investigate. At any rate, auto completion of email addresses in the to/cc/bcc fields has become a stopper, taking up to a minute to do something. • crash with CoUnintialize() api of COM

  My main process(main.exe) initilaized COM library and created a thread which creates a new process(p1.exe) this new process is again initializing COM library and after making all references as zero unintialized COM here.. the unintailezed COM in the main process (i.e main.exe) also.... When i run p1.exe individually it is successful.. but it is crashing when i create a process for p1.exe from main.exe

• How to reset mysql's replication settings completely, without reinstalling it?

  I set up mysql replication by adding references to binlogs, relay logs etc in my.cnf restarted mysql, it worked. I wanted to change it so I deleted all binlog related files including log-bin.index, removed binlog statements from my.cnf restarted server, works set master to '', purge master logs since now(), reset slave, stop slave, stop master. now, to set up replication again, I added binlog statements to the server. But then I hit this problem when restarting with: sudo mysqld (the only way to see mysql's startup errors) I get this error: /usr/sbin/mysqld: File '/etc/mysql/var/log-bin.index' not found (Errcode: 13) Because indeed, this file does not exist! (I deleted it, while trying to set up a new replication system) Hmm, if I change the config line to: log-bin-index = log-bin.index I get a different error: [ERROR] Can't generate a unique log-filename /etc/mysql/var/bin.(1-999) [ERROR] MSYQL_BIN_LOG::open failed to generate new file name. [ERROR] Aborting The first time I set up replication on this system, I didn't need to create this file. I did the same thing - added references to a previously non-existing file, and mysql created it. Same with relay logs, etc. I don't know why mysql insists on trying to read the old folder. Should I just reinstall the whole package again? I thought it was apparmor causing it at first, but when I added /etc/mysql/* rw, to apparmor's config and restarted it, it still couldn't read the full path.

Right now I have 5 different versions listed on the GRUB, even though I always select the latest version to work with. Am I supposed to do anything to get rid of the old version references?   I can't seem to find a guide or reference on how to configure the 'indicator-applet' (aka MessagingMenu) that came about in the 9.04 release of Ubuntu. It's that little mail icon that lists messaging apps. I can find docs about what it should do, people complaining about how it works, references that the API changed in 9.10, but not much on how to change the configuration. The MessagingMenu design spec page says that the config file should be at $HOME/.config/indicators/messages/applications/, but there's nothing there on my install (9.10).

• Phpmyadmin mysql foreign key problem

  Hey guys i'm using phpmyadmin (php & mysql) and i'm having alot of trouble linking the tables using foreign keys. I'm getting negative values for the field countyId (which is the foriegn key). However it is linking to my other table fine and it's cascading fine. • Why should I choose either PCL or PS when both are supported

• Transferring programs to a different Windows partition

  I have two Windows partitions installed on a HDD, as well as a third partition where I have hundreds of programs installed. I've installed all the programs with my Windows 7 RC, but now that the Release Candidate is coming to an end I have to switch over to my other Windows installation. Is there an easy way to transfer all of my programs registry entries and other references to my new Windows installation, or do I have to reinstall all of my programs on my new partition? Thanks.

  I know in TextMate I can go to preferences - advanced - folder references and play with the regex pattern to remove certain types of files and folders by default. I heard that if you have an existing project, however, and chance these, the project is not affected. From a similar but different angle, I am interested to know if I can exclude certain types of files, say anything named "index.html" from an existing project while not changing the global scope. • ms excel find and replace @ symbol results in broken formula

  I'm trying to search and replace in excel, the column is formatted as 'Text'. Find: [@ replace with: @ Whenever this finds a match at the start of a cell i.e the cell contents start with [@ and tries to replace that with @ the result is an error 'This function is not valid' I guess that since the @ operator is for references, this is causing the cell to be interpreted differently (not as text anymore) How do I make this replacement work? Copy/paste into another program is not a good option because some of the cells contain line-breaks.
