  • How to dispose of variables in windows close button

    - by cmrhema
Hi, I have a windows forms application, where I have declared some static variables. On the click of exit button, I have disposed of some datatable which i have declared static. Many a times the user instead of clicking the exit button, will just exit the windows application by clicking the X button on the left corner top. What should be done to ensure that even if the user clicks the X button, everything is disposed of properly. Thanks Regards Hema

  • How do I create a Solution Wide Connection String

    - by Renier
Hi. Does anyone know if it is possible to create a single connection string that will be accessible to all the projects in a solution (we have about 6). I can create a text file with this information, but we need design time support as well, and it is not practical to have a connection string in every App.Config and Web.config file in the solution. We basically want a Single connection string that is easy to change should the location of the db change, that will also be used by the IDE for design time support Regards, Renier

  • Move Physical Windows Server 2008 into a Hyper-V VM

    - by Randall Sexton
Hello, I'd like to import a real Windows Server 2008 server as a Hyper-V Virtual Server on another Windows Server 2008 instance. Anyone have any idea how to do this? I'm looking at the System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 but it doesn't seem to import Windows Server 2008 - nor is it free. Is there some other workaround (i.e. import the image into VMWare first, then convert to Hyper-V)? Please help. Regards, Randall

  • Page cache - initiate the first page request in the server

    - by Tiago Teixeira
Hi, I'm implementing Outputcache in my application and it works fine, but the first time always take a lot to load and the next following request will be faster... I would like to know if there is a way to initiate the page caching on the server side and serve the cached page upon the very first request, rather than have it triggered by the user one first time. Any ideas/suggestions will be very much welcome. Best regards, TT

  • Runtime C function details

    - by Sridhar
Hi, Is there any way to find particular C language function's input and output parameters from a framework (apple's ARM) during the runtime or from any method with out knowing the headers. It is a framework and there are no header files for it.I decompile it with IDA Pro and it gives me the function names but not input and output parameters information. I am able to load those private functions using dlsym. Is it possible to find the parameters info in runtime (C language or Objective C) or from IDA Pro ? Regards, Raghu

  • Which layer implement Transaction mechanism

    - by didxga
I knew ORM tools, such as Hibernate, have their own transaction management mechanism. We can also harness transaction by using JDBC directly. And DBMS has its transaction facilities either. I wonder that in which layer(s) the transaction is actually implemented in a J2EE application? Regards!
