• WebClient.UploadFile() throws exception while uploading files to sharepoint

  In my application i am uploading files to sharepoint 2007. • There is no Key attribute in EF CTP 5

  According to the blog post here Data Annotations in the Entity Framework there should be an attribute for a column called "Key" which allows you to mark the primary key of an entity. However I cannot locate this in .Net 3.5 or .Net 4.0. What have I missed? I've included the reference to EntityFramework.dll and I've checked all the attributes under System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations but I cannot locate it. I have set my project to .Net 4.0 full (not client profile). Any ideas?

• Storyboard elements are not sized properly on the device

  In the storyboard, I am placing a table view element into a subclassed UIView. The element is not appearing on the iPad device I am running it on the same as it appears in the storyboard however. This also happens for additional content that I place into the storyboard. Below is a screenshot as it appears in the storyboard, as well as UI width/height information. And here is the description of the UI file running on the iPad. https://gist.github.com/4323186 (embedding it directly into the post is giving me problems) You'll notice that the tableview is explicitly set at 178 width, and is showing up in the description as 276 width. My initial thought was that perhaps a cell was forcing the parent to be larger (I'm very new to iOS UI development), but drilling into that shows the prototype cell it appears that the width is defined by it's parent at 178. The image views and label also are appearing in the incorrect spot, as shown in the second image below.

• Integrating Fedex and UPS into Rails Apps

  I'm working on integrating a shipping solution into a Rails ecommerce app. We're only going to use one shipping provider. So the question is: Fedex or UPS? I'm wondering what Rails developers think about the tech side of this question. What do you think about the APIs, ease of integration, focus on developer's needs between Fedex and UPS? I was leaning towards Fedex, but from looking at the developers resources sections of both sites, it seems that UPS might be more developer friendly. Also, I'm going to be using Shopify's active_shipping gem: http://github.com/Shopify/active_shipping And I also based my app off the Spree Ecommerce solution, but I don't think that's particularly relevant to the question. Spree wrote a wrapper to integrate active_shipping with the Spree system. I gave away all my points, so SO wont' let me post another link in this question. But if you google "Spree active-shipping", their wrapper on github is the first result. Thanks.

  We are developing a rather large WPF based application and would like to include some automated UI testing in our test suite (which already contains a number of unit tests). The UI Automation Framework from Microsoft partly sounds like a perfect fit for programatically launching and interacting with the application in a test setup. However, I've struggled to find solid references for samples and experiences with the technology, the articles and small samples available on MSDN is not enough to convince me that it is a solid choice. So, does anybody have real world experiences using the UI Automation Framework in their test suite? What are the caveats and the gotchas? Any best practices when written tests scripts, can you "record and replay" to a scriptable format, how much should you facilitate the testing from the application, how did you incorporate it in the automatic build? Should we be looking in another direction than the UI Automation Framework? Feel free to post you experiences here or link to some good references I might have missed

• Authkit - deferring action for HTTP '401' response to client application

  Form, Redirect and Forward all send an unauthenticated user to a Form on a login page specified within an Authkit middleware application. I'd like to allow a client application to request a service via XHR and then present a custom 'client side' form if a HTTP status code of 401 is returned, which would then post to Authkit for authentication until valid authentication/authorization occured. Specifically, 1) a jquery $.get request might request a resource. 2) if an Authkit cookie check confirmed previous authorization the content would be returned. 3) if not I would like Authkit to simply return the '401 response' (and not redirect to another page, or return a form template) where a client side exception handler would notify the user and present an authentication form. Can Authkit work like this?

  Hello, I recently started with Magento and decided to migrate Interspire shopping cart I already made time ago to it. At first look Magento seems a very huge beast - lots of options, maybe lack of simplicity resulting in some performance loss. I've got user guide from which I am not getting much of benefit since there're just descriptions of very ordinary tasks that I could easily discover myself by poking around frontend/backend. So my first tasks are category and product export. Interspire seems to be exporting ONLY products in three available formats: Default MYOB Peachtree accounting I did some searching on Magento's product importing and found a blog post which says that I should create a few sample products with all the necessary attributes myself and then start the import. But what should I do with categories ? Is it possible to import them or instruct Magento to automatically create categories when importing product file if unknown category is encountered ? Thanks

Here the server page returns randomly generated number,using this number(converted into seconds) i am triggering another function in ajax success .it works My problem suppose random number = 5 means trigger() function called after 5 seconds using setTimeout,but rember ajax call is triggering every 1 second so trigger function also called many time. i want to make ajax call wait untill trigger function execution.Which means i wanna pause that ajax call untill 5 seconds after that resume How can i do this ? I have a page that contains dynamically generated Dropdown List controls and I want thant the dynamic dropdown list perform an AutoPostback to fill some other field using the value selected. I put a breakpoint into the ChangeValue sub but anything happens. I read on some post that handler for the first DropDownList is not necessary but, how is it possible to tell DropDownList to call my sub after changevalue?   I'm using Data Annotations with ASP.NET MVC 2 as demonstrated in this post: http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2010/01/15/asp-net-mvc-2-model-validation.aspx Everything works fine when creating / updating an entity where all required property values are specified in the form and valid. However, what if I only want to update some of the fields? For example, let's say I have an Account entity with 20 fields, but I only want to update Username and Password? ModelState.IsValid validates against all the properties, regardless of whether they are referenced in the submitted form. How can I get it to validate only the fields that are referenced in the form?

  Hi, The problem is the following: On Windows x64, pointers are 64-bit, but type long is 32-bit. MSVC doesn't seem to care, and even omits warnings about pointer truncation on the default warning level. Since recently, there is a GCC that target x86_64-w64-mingw32, or better Windows x64 native. GCC produces errors when pointers are truncated (which is the logical thing to do...), and this is causing trouble in WebKit and more specifically, the Netscape Plugin API: First, there's the files (I can only post one hyperlink...): http://trac.webkit.org/browser/trunk/WebCore/ bridge/npapi.h -- defines uint32 as 32-bit int type (~line 145) plugins/win/PluginViewWin.cpp -- casts Windows window handles to 32-bit int, truncating them (~line 450) My proposed fix was to change the uint32 casts to uintptr_t, which makes GCC happy, but still puts a 64-bit value in a uint32 (=unsigned long). I have no clue how to solve this, because clearly WebKit is happy truncating pointers on Win64... How can I solve this the right way? Thanks!

  I want to create a new column in a MYSQL table that has Fn Ln instead of Ln, Fn. Most of my data is printed Fn Ln. Another idea is to incorporate a string function each time there is an output (php based) but that seems to waste resources. Finally, I couldn't find the syntax (loop or foreach) for my php function anyway.
