• Alternative to Softerra's LDAP Administrator?

  I am looking for an alternative to Softerra's LDAP Administrator, simply for the price is over-budget for a small team to test the LDAP credentials. So I really appreciate if someone can point me to some other alternatives for a Windows-based environment. We've got our Active Directory setup already, I only need a tool to confirm the access as a proof to customers. Sorry I am not a security guru, I am quite the opposite... • Print from MAC OS 10.5.8 to HPC3180 on Windows 7, How?

  Can anyone point to a document that describes how to print from a Max OS 10.5.8 to an HP Photosmart C3180 series print connected to Windows 7. I can’t get anything but nonsense to print. I was able to do this with Windows XP, could not do it with Vista and am now hopping to get it done with System 7. HP has been no help at all. Apparently nobody who works for them knows anything about both computers.

  We use a SharePoint 2007 site internally with Office 2010. Whenever I open a Word document to edit it, I get a prompt saying: Some files can harm your computer. If the file information below looks suspicious, or you do not fully trust the source, do not open the file. I've been unable to find a reliable answer around the web. Some suggested using the Windows File Types dialog to remove the prompt on download option, but this dialog is not available in Windows 7.

  I have an embedded Geode-based application server with 512MB RAM and I'm about to try to maximize free memory during applications workload, which uses MySQL database 5.5 with InnoDB quite aggressively. As part of the whole optimization I'd want to introduce echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches sleep 5 echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches in crontab. How often is it safe to execute something like this?   Assume I'm working away from the office; its a hotel computer Windows 7, Office 2010 and fast - so the best possible conditions. Using Companyweb - Every time I open a document, I have to go through the logon process - seems odd to have to do that. Is this a 'by design' feature or is something wrong with my configuration? When I do open the documents, are they being stored somewhere locally and should I be looking to delete on this computer - or are they in a temporary file?

  I have remote Windows 2003 server with two network interfaces e.g. Cn1 and Cn2. I need that all traffic goes through Cn1 except for one port (for me it's 3389, rdp for administration) that works over Cn2. Currently when I setup all connections work through Cn1, I completely lose connection over Cn2 - and can't connect to server via RDP over Cn2. Now I used static routing based on my ip address (which can changed - so it's bad).

  Hi, on Mac, you know there is no 'merge files' when you ctrl+c/ctrl+v some folder on another one, it actually replaces it. I'm simply wondering on what UNIX is this based? because correct me if I'm wrong, but "cp - R" DOES merge files, no? And that's what I'm doing via the Finder, copying some files and folders... thanks!
