• Toottip data issue in jquery flot

  I am using Jquery plot.Every thing is working except tooltip data. • Java: Best practices for turning foreign horror-code into clean API...?

  Hello, everyone! I have a project (related to graph algorithms). It is written by someone else. The code is horrible: public fields, no getters/setters huge methods, all public some classes have over 20 fields some classes have over 5 constructors (which are also huge) some of those constructors just left many fields null (so I can't make some fields final, because then every second constructor signals errors) methods and classes rely on each other in both directions I have to rewrite this into a clean and understandable API. Problem is: I myself don't understand anything in this code. Please give me hints on analyzing and understanding such code. I was thinking, perhaps, there are tools which perform static code analysis and give me call graphs and things like this.

  Is posible for a portlet to read a request parameter of its surrounding page? E.g. the URL of the page the portlet resides in is http://example.com/mygroup/mypage?foo=bar Is it possible to read the "foo" parameter from a portlet that is on that page? Portlet Container is Liferay 6.0.5. P.S. • New Session is created between consecutive servlet request from an Applet and a managed bean??

  Hi, I want to pass parameters betweeen applet and jsf components So when a value of a input textbox changed, its binding backing bean makes connection to a servlet. The servlet create an attribute and save to HttpSession using (request.getSession(true)).setAttribute(name, value); Then at some event, applet will access another servlet. This servlet will try to retrieve the Attribute saved to Session previously. However, everytime, the attirbute returned is null as the new session is created instead. My question is: Is the session should be persist? ( I checked allowcookies, session timeout for weblogic) If yes, what might go wrong with my app? Thanks a lot for your help. Regards K.

The following query throws "Arithmetic overflow error converting expression to data type datetime." if the piece of data found in the xml cannot be converted to datetime (in this specific case, the date is "0001-01-01" in some cases).   I'm trying to generate some additional code base on the auto-generated webservice proxies in my VS2010 solution, I'm using a T4 template to do so. The problem is, automatically generated proxies are added in "Service Reference" folder but ProjectItems (files) are hidden by default and the following code does not find them in the project structure: var sr = GetProjectItem(project, "Service References"); if(sr != null) { foreach(ProjectItem item in sr.ProjectItems) { foreach(var file in item.ProjectItems) { //Services.Add(new ServiceInfo { Name = file.Name }); } } } The above code runs and although service reference is found, and there are ProjectItems under that node (named by the webservice reference name), under object under that node is of type System.__ComObject and I'm not sure how to progress. Question: What is the best way to get the values for duplicate-named nodes distinctly? My thought was to load all values matching the node name into an array and then using the array index to refer to them. I'm not sure how to implement that, though. (I'm not well-versed in XML navigation.)

  I wish to send text between processes. I have found lots of examples of this but none that I can get working. When debugging the WM_COPYDATA case is executed, but again I dont know what to do with the COPYDATASTRUCT. I would like to send text between the two processes. As you can probably tell I am just starting out, I am using GNU GCC Compiler in Code::Blocks, I am trying to avoid MFC and dependencies.

  I have a COM object that we are calling from C#. This works great, and I have my own pool of objects that I can use whenever I want. Now I need to kill the object. I've tried releasing the COM object explicitly and then garbage collecting from another thread, but that does nothing. Does anyone have any other ideas to kill this object? Thanks for the help. • is my function correct?

  This is part of an assignment so please dont post solutions, just point me in the right direction if possible? I am passing a pointer to a char array to my method, as well as a value for the actual height of the char array. I am looping through to see if all values are 0, if they are then return 0, esle return one The method is used as a test to see if i should free memory or not and set the pointer to null if it is full of 0's. The issue i am having is that the programme should have "some unfree" memory at the end, so i have no idea whether or not its doing it correctly - and gdb i struggle with immensley. • .NET Framework - Possible memory-leaky classes?

  Just the other day I was investigating a memory leak that was ballooning the app from ~50MB to ~130MB in under two minutes. Turns out that the problem was with the ConcurrentQueue class. Internally, the class stores a linked list of arrays. When an item is dequeued from the ConcurrentQueue, the index in the array is bumped, but the item remains in the array (i.e. it's not set to null). The entire array node is dropped after enough enqueues/dequeues, so it's not technically a leak, but if storing only a few large objects in the ConcurrentQueue, this can get out of hand fast. The documentation makes no note of this danger. I was wondering what other potential memory pitfalls are in the Base Class Library? I know about the Substring one (that is, if you call substring and just hold onto the result, the whole string will still be in memory). Any others you've encountered?
