• ReSharper no longer runs unit tests

  Hey folks I'm trying to write some unit tests for an app I work on at work (In the vague hope that others might follow suit), and I was originally running these tests using NUnit and the ReSharper plugin. However, ReSharper will no longer run tests for me for some reason: It simply crosses them out with a red strikeout. There's no error code I'm afraid, and there's no mention of such behaviour on the JetBrains site. Has anyone else experienced similar benhaviour? Cheers, Ed

  I have a .net application that uses some API calls, for example GetPrivateProfileString. So far it has always run on 32-bit machines. In order to run on 64-bit machines, must I change the "Platform Target" to "x86"? Or is there a way to let the runtime know which API DLL to invoke depending on the runtime environment?

  To get any code with SoftReference<T> to be fully tested, one must come up with some way to test the 'yup, it's been nulled' case. One might more or less mock this by using a 'for-test' code path to force the reference to be null, but that won't manage the queue exactly as the GC does. I wonder if anyone out can share experience in setting up a repeatable, controlled, environment, in which the GC is, in fact, provoked into collecting and nulling?

  In the source code of the Perl module CGI.pm, in the submodule CGI::Cookies.pm, there is the following line: $raw_cookie = $ENV{HTTP_COOKIE} || $ENV{COOKIE}; I'm interested in $ENV{COOKIE} here. Are there any web servers (obsolete or otherwise) which transmit cookie information using the COOKIE environment variable instead of the HTTP_COOKIE used by Apache? I've never seen COOKIE and other CGI libraries don't seem to support it.

• Is there server-side code which is not cross browser compatible?

  Was there a case in any server-side language where a code did not work in a browser while it did work in the rest? I am asking this because I can't imagine such a scenario because server-side code runs in the server, not in the browser but I have seen discussions where, as said, there were "server-side browser compatibility issues".   As the title says, are there any sources (web pages etc) of summarised changes at each API level? I have an app which I've put out to a small group of beta testers and I already fell foul of Environment.getExternalFilesDir(), which I hadn't noticed was introduced in API Level 8, when a couple of the guys tried it on Android v2.1 devices. The majority of my code should be pretty generic but it would be useful if I could find a condensed/summarised list/table or similar that I can quickly glance over.

  Hi, it seems that adding for example a button Dim myButton as New Button and then addHandler to mySub("lol", 255) is not possible. Where mySub is Shared Sub MySub(byRef myString as string, myInteger as Integer) So: addHandler myButton.click, addressOf mySub("lol", 255) - returns an error saying it does not work with parentheses or whatever. I somehow see why this might not be possible, so I'm looking for a work-around on this problem. Please help _jakeCake

• Can't export release build / compile for Adobe Air 1.0

  I opened up an old project in Flex Builder 3 which runs on Adobe AIR 1.0. I believe it was originally written in Flex Builder 2. When I try to run the air app, nothing happens. When I try to export a release build, I get this error: If I change the main-app.xml file to use the 1.5 version of the namespace, it builds fine. Unfortunately, the clients environment runs on 1.0. Ideas?

  Using VBA and a toolbar button, I'd like to be able to Switch between FROM and Conversation View, but I just work how to or find any code to do this. I tried the Sort Methods but, they only work in memory and don't re-sort the actual inbox. I use Conversation View for GMail style functionality with my Sent items BCC'd to myself, but want to switch to 'From' with all Groups Collapsed - so that I can find emails from certain people quickly. It should work with C# and self-defined languages.
