  • How can I trigger a transition effect when a child control is added or removed in flex?

    I've got a custom component that has children components dynamically added and removed to it depending on what button the user clicks. What I would like to do is trigger a transition effect that moves the child component onto the stage when it's added and then moves it off when it's removed. Does anyone have a good example on how to accomplish this? Edit: I figured it out and left my solution below. I hope it helps someone else!

  • How do I superimpose one bitmap image on another in GDI+?

    Using GDI+ I've made a heatmap bmp and I'd like to superimpose it on top of my bmp map. I've saved the two bmps to disk, and they look good, I just need a way to put them together. Is there any way to do this, perhaps using the Graphics object? How is transparency/alpa involved? I'm very new to GDI programming so please be as specific as possible.

    I need to source some graphics/icons for my application I'm writing (Windows WinForms). I need graphics for toolbar buttons, icons for form headers and graphics for wizard dialog boxes. As a last resort I'm willing to create them myself - a move that might make them (and my whole application) look amazingly bad. What are some good sources (free or not) where I can get these kinds of programmer icons? I'd like the icons to be at least 32x32 256 color.

    I'm looking to find an Oracle PL/SQL training course for a colleague of mine. I've had first-hand experience with Oracle University and was quite satisfied with my experience, but the courses currently available through Oracle University are limited to options out of our budget when considering travel and 5 days of hotel. I'm wondering what other good providers of Oracle training are out there and what fellow developers are having positive experiences with. The accept() function always fail to accept connections, the pid returned is -1 I have no idea what causing this, since in RedHat & CentOS it works well. When i remove the call to daemonize(), everything works well on Debian, when i add it back, same accept() error reproduce. I've been monitring the /proc//fd, everything looks good. Something in the daemonize() and the Debian release just doesn't seem to work. (Debian GNU/Linux 5.0, Linux 2.6.26-2-286 #1 SMP) Any idea what causing this? Thank you
