  I want to send an email with an inline image using javamail. I'm doing something like this. MimeMultipart content = new MimeMultipart("related"); BodyPart bodyPart = new MimeBodyPart(); bodyPart.setContent(message, "text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"); content.addBodyPart(bodyPart); bodyPart = new MimeBodyPart(); DataSource ds = new ByteArrayDataSource(image, "image/jpeg"); bodyPart.setDataHandler(new DataHandler(ds)); bodyPart.setHeader("Content-Type", "image/jpeg; name=image.jpg"); bodyPart.setHeader("Content-ID", "<image>"); bodyPart.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "inline"); content.addBodyPart(bodyPart); msg.setContent(content); I've also tried bodyPart.setHeader("inline; filename=image.jpg"); and bodyPart.setDisposition("inline"); but no matter what, the image is being sent as an attachment and the Content-Dispostion is turning into "attachment". • Android GridView - How to change a bitmap dynamically?

  Hello I have a gridView which I use to show some pictures on (small thumb of diffrent levels). When the user finishes one level, I would like to change the thumb for that level. (Somehow show that it has been completed). I created two thumbs for each level. One is the original and one that shows that the level is completed. But how can i change the source of the images? The code which I use to draw the images looks like this.   Hello I've been trying several things from Google to POST data to a web server, but none of them work: I'm still stuck at how to convert the variables into the request, considering that the second variable is an SQL query so it has spaces. Does someone know the correct way to use a WebClient to POST data? I'd rather use WebClient because it requires less code than HttpWebRequest/HttpWebResponse. • Finding out max available print area

  I'm trying to find out max available area on my printer. I've printed a simple rectangle trying out different boundary variables. My question is, why doesn't first two work correctly? They don't print a full rectangle on the paper, only the left and top sides are drawn. Why does only the third one prints a full rectangle? I was under the impression of that all three should be working correctly. What am I missing? • Continuous Form, how to add/update records with external connection

  EDIT After some more research I found that I cannot use a continuous form with an unbound form since it can only reference a single record at a time. Given that I've altered my question... I have a sample form that pulls out data to enter into a table as an intermediary. Initially the form is unbound and I open connections to two main recordsets. I set the listbox's recordset equal to one of them and the forms recordset equal to the other. The problem is that I cannot add records or update existing ones. Attempting to key into the fields does nothing almost as if the field was locked (Which it is not). Settings of the recordsets are OpenKeyset and LockPessimistic. Tables are not linked, they come from an outside access database seperate from this project and must remain that way. I am using an adodb connection to get the data. Could the separation of the data from the project be causing this?   Suppose there is an element in XML data: <abc:xyz:name attr="value"/> I'm trying to read it with XmlReader. The problem is that I get XmlException that says The ‘:’ character, hexadecimal value 0x3A, cannot be included in a name I have already declared "abc" namespace. I have also tried adding "abc:xyz" and "xyz" namespaces. But this doesn't help at all. I could replace some text before parsing but there may be some more elegant solution. So what should I do?   My question is about line 4, where the new PrintWriter is created with the constructor taking the FileWriter fw as a parameter. I don't understand the use of chaining the BufferedWriter bw to FileWriter if it isn't used later on in the actual writing. I feel like I've done it right, I know that the button doesn't do anything as of now, but I just want to make the whole thing work and expand the code thereafter.   I am trying to design a RESTful filesystem-like service, and copy/move operations are causing me some trouble. First of all, uploading a new file is done using a PUT to the file's ultimate URL: PUT /folders/42/contents/<name> The question is, what if the new file already resides on the system under a different URL? Copy/move Idea 1: PUTs with custom headers. This is similar to S3's copy. A PUT that looks the same as the upload, but with a custom header: PUT /folders/42/contents/<name> X-custom-source: /files/5 This is nice because it's easy to change the file's name at copy/move time. However, S3 doesn't offer a move operation, perhaps because a move using this scheme won't be idempotent. Copy/move Idea 2: POST to parent folder. This is similar to the Google Docs copy. A POST to the destination folder with XML content describing the source file: POST /folders/42/contents ... <source>/files/5</source> <newName>foo</newName> I might be able to POST to the file's new URL to change its name..? Otherwise I'm stuck with specifying a new name in the XML content, which amplifies the RPCness of this idea. It's also not as consistent with the upload operation as idea 1. Ultimately I'm looking for something that's easy to use and understand, so in addition to criticism of the above, new ideas are certainly welcome!

  I have the following 3 lines of the code: ServerSocket listeningSocket = new ServerSocket(earPort); Socket serverSideSocket = listeningSocket.accept(); BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(serverSideSocket.getInputStream())); The compiler complains about all of these 3 lines and its complain is the same for all 3 lines: unreported exception java.io.IOException; In more details, these exception are thrown by new ServerSocket, accept() and getInputStream(). I know I need to use try ... catch .... But for that I need to know what this exceptions mean in every particular case (how should I interpret them). When they happen? I mean, not in general, but in these 3 particular cases.

• Trying to filter a ListView with runQueryOnBackgroundThread but nothing happens - what am I missing?

  I have a list of countries in a database. I have created a select country activity that consists of a edit box for filtering and a list which displays the flag and country name. When the activity starts the list shows the entire list of countries sorted alphabetically - works fine. When the customer starts typing into the search box I want the list to be filtered based on their typing. My database query was previously working in an AutoCompleteView (I just want to switch to a separate text box and list) so I know my full query and my constraint query are working. What I did was add a TextWatcher to the EditText view and every time the text is changed I invoke the list's SimpleCursorAdapter runQueryOnBackgroundThread with the edit boxes text as the constraint. The trouble is the list is never updated. I have set breakpoints in the debugger and the TextWatcher does make the call to runQueryOnBackgroundThread and my FilterQueryProvider is called with the expected constraint. The database query goes fine and the cursor is returned.
