  • Uploading image to flicker in c++

    - by Alien01
    I am creating an application in VC++ using win32,wininet to upload an image to Flickr.I am able to get Frob,Token correctly but when I try to upload the image I am getting error Post size too large. Headers are created as follows wstring wstrAddHeaders = L"Content-Type: multipart/form-data;boundary=ABCD\r\n"; wstrAddHeaders += L"Host: api.flickr.com\r\n"; wchar_t tempStr[MAX_PATH]; wsprintf(L"Content-Length: %ld\r\n",szTotalSize); wstrAddHeaders += tmpStr; wstrAddHeaders +=L"\r\n"; HINTERNET hSession = InternetConnect(hInternet, L"www.flickr.com", INTERNET_DEFAULT_HTTP_PORT, NULL,NULL, INTERNET_SERVICE_HTTP, 0, 0); if(hSession==NULL) { dwErr = GetLastError(); return; } Content of Post request are created as follows: wstring wstrBoundry = L"--ABCD\r\n"; wstring wstrContent =wstrBoundry; wstrContent +=L"Content-Disposition: form-data; name=\"api_key\"\r\n\r\n"; wstrContent +=wstrAPIKey.c_str() ; wstrContent += L"\r\n"; wstrContent +=wstrBoundry; wstrContent +=L"Content-Disposition: form-data; name=\"auth_token\"\r\n\r\n"; wstrContent +=m_wstrToken.c_str(); wstrContent += L"\r\n"; wstrContent +=wstrBoundry; wstrContent +=L"Content-Disposition: form-data; name=\"api_sig\"\r\n\r\n"; wstrContent +=wstrSig; wstrContent += L"\r\n"; wstrContent +=wstrBoundry; wstrContent +=L"Content-Disposition: form-data; name=\"photo\"; filename=\"C:\\test.jpg\""; wstrContent +=L"\r\n"; wstrContent +=L"Content-Type: image/jpeg\r\n\r\n"; wstring wstrFilePath(L"C:\\test.jpg"); CAtlFile file; HRESULT hr = S_OK; hr = file.Create(wstrFilePath.c_str(),GENERIC_READ,FILE_SHARE_READ,OPEN_EXISTING); if(FAILED(hr)) { return; } ULONGLONG nLen; hr = file.GetSize(nLen); if (nLen > (DWORD)-1) { return ; } char * fileBuf = new char[nLen]; file.Read(fileBuf,nLen); wstring wstrLastLine(L"\r\n--ABCD--\r\n"); size_t szTotalSize = sizeof(wchar_t) * (wstrContent.length()) +sizeof(wchar_t) * (wstrLastLine.length()) + nLen; unsigned char *buffer = (unsigned char *)malloc(szTotalSize); memset(buffer,0,szTotalSize); memcpy(buffer,wstrContent.c_str(),wstrContent.length() * sizeof(wchar_t)); memcpy(buffer+wstrContent.length() * sizeof(wchar_t),fileBuf,nLen); memcpy(buffer+wstrContent.length() * sizeof(wchar_t)+nLen,wstrLastLine.c_str(),wstrLastLine.length() * sizeof(wchar_t)); hRequest = HttpOpenRequest(hSession, L"POST", L"/services/upload/", L"HTTP/1.1", NULL, NULL, 0, NULL); if(hRequest) { bRet = HttpAddRequestHeaders(hRequest,wstrAddHeaders.c_str(),wstrAddHeaders.length(),HTTP_ADDREQ_FLAG_ADD | HTTP_ADDREQ_FLAG_REPLACE); if(bRet) { bRet = HttpSendRequest(hRequest,NULL,0,(void *)buffer,szTotalSize); if(bRet) { while(true) { char buffer[1024]={0}; DWORD read=0; BOOL r = InternetReadFile(hRequest,buffer,1024,&read); if(read !=0) { wstring strUploadXML =buffer; break; } } } } I am not pretty sure the way I am adding image data to the string and posting the request. Do I need to convert image data into Unicode? Any suggestions , if someone can find what I am doing wrong that would be very helpful to me.

  • How to easily pass a very long string to a worker process under Windows?

    - by sharptooth
My native C++ Win32 program spawns a worker process and needs to pass a huge configuration string to it. Currently it just passes the string as a command line to CreateProcess(). The problem is the string is getting longer and now it doesn't fit into the 32K characters limitation imposed by Windows. Of course I could do something like complicating the worker process start - I use the RPC server in it anyway and I could introduce an RPC request for passing the configuration string, but this will require a lot of changes and make the solution not so reliable. Saving the data into a file for passing is also not very elegant - the file could be left on the filesystem and become garbage. What other simple ways are there for passing long strings to a worker process started by my program on Windows?

  • I have VS2010 Ultimate. Shouldn't TFS Server be included?

    - by George
Dumb question I'm sure, but when I log onto my MSDN subscription account, I don't see Team Foundation Server in the list of available for download software application. I thought it was supposed to come with VS2010 Ultimate, which I could download. Is it a separate download? Could it be that my MSDN account level gives me access to VS2010 but that I am still not entitled to TFS? I'd like to install it instead of using VSS.

  • Which format does static library (*.lib) files use? Where can I find "Official" specifications of *.

    - by claws
Just now I found that static libraries in *nix systems, in other words *.a libraries are nothing but archives of relocatables(*.o files) in ar fromat. What about static libraries(*.lib files) in windows? Which format are they in? I found an article: http://www.microsoft.com/msj/0498/hood0498.aspx which explains *.lib file structure. But Where can I find "Official" specifications of *.lib file structure/format? Other than ar.exe of mingw is there any tool from Microsoft which extracts relocatable objects of *.lib & *.a files? EDIT: I wonder why I'm unable to get to this question. If there are no official specifications. Then how does the compiler ('linker' to be more correct) writers work with *.LIB files?

  • datareader.close is called in if - else branching. How to validate datareader is actually closed usi

    - by tanmay
Hi, I have written couple of custom rules in for fxcop 1.36. I have written a code to find weather opened datareader is closed or not. But it does not check which datareader object is calling the close() method so I can't be sure if all opened datareader objs are closed!! 2nd: if I am using data reader in IF else like if 1=2 dr = cmd.executeReader(); else dr = cmd2.execureReader(); end if in this case it will search for 2 datareader objects to be closed.. I am putting my code for more clarity. public override ProblemCollection Check(Member member) { Method method = member as Method; int countCatch =0; int countErrLog = 0; Instruction objInstr = null; if (method != null) { for (int i = 0; i < method.Instructions.Count; i++) { objInstr = method.Instructions[i]; if (objInstr.Value != null) { if (objInstr.Value.ToString().Contains("System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader")) { countCatch += 1; } if (countCatch>0) { if (objInstr.Value.ToString().Contains("System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.Close")) { countErrLog += 1; } } } } } if (countErrLog!=countCatch) { Resolution resolu = GetResolution(new string[] { method.ToString() }); Problems.Add(new Problem(resolu)); } return Problems; Thanks and regards, Tanmay.

  • Are there any tools in IDEs to automatically fix comment formatting?

    - by Fragsworth
/* Suppose I have a multi-line comment with hard line-breaks * that are roughly uniform on the right side of the text, * and I want to add text to a line in order to make the * comment a bit more descriptive. */ Now, most unfortunately, I need to add text to one of the top lines. /* Suppose I have a multi-line comment with hard line-breaks (here is some added text for happy fun time) * that are roughly uniform on the right side of the text, * and I want to add text to a line in order to make the * comment a bit more descriptive. */ It takes O(n) time (n being the number of lines) to fix each line so that they roughly line up again. The computer should do this, not me. Are there tools to deal with this in our IDEs? What are they called?

  • Do I have to remove VS 2010 beta1 in order to get a web app to work on asp.net 2.0?

    - by Galilyou
I think the title is enough :). I have VS 2010 beta1 installed, and I wish to run an asp.net mvc application on my local IIS. The problem is, the asp.net 4.0 runtime is selected by default for all the web sites, when I try to change it to asp.net 2.0, I get the following error message: I click yes, then ok, and when I get back to the ASP.NET tab of my site's properties, I see the 4.0 version is selected back again! Do I have to remove VS 2010 in order to get this to work? (hopefully not) Ps: I'm using windows XP and IIS 5.1

  • supress warning for generated c# code

    - by soren.enemaerke
I have turned on "Treat warnings as errors" for my VS project which mean that I get errors for missing documentation (nice reminder for this particular project). However, part of the code is generated by a custom tool which does not insert xml documentation so I'm looking for away to ignore the missing xml documentation for the generated code only, not for the entire project. I have no influence on the actual file generated and cannot really insert anything in the file (as it is regenerated frequently by the tool) so I looking for something existing outside the generated file (the classes that are generated are partial, if that helps)

  • C++ Microsoft SAPI: How to set Windows text-to-speech output to a memory buffer?

    - by Vladimir
Hi all, I have been trying to figure out how to "speak" a text into a memory buffer using Windows SAPI 5.1 but so far no success, even though it seems it should be quite simple. There is an example of streaming the synthesized speech into a .wav file, but no examples of how to stream it to a memory buffer. In the end I need to have the synthesized speech in a char* array in 16 kHz 16-bit little-endian PCM format. Currently I create a temp .wav file, redirect speech output there, then read it, but it seems to be a rather stupid solution. Anyone knows how to do that? Thanks!

  • problems with overloaded function members C++

    - by Dr Deo
I have declared a class as class DCFrameListener : public FrameListener, public OIS::MouseListener, public OIS::KeyListener { bool keyPressed(const OIS::KeyEvent & kEvt); bool keyReleased(const OIS::KeyEvent &kEvt); //*******some code missing************************ }; But if i try defining the members like this bool DCFrameListener::keyPressed(const OIS::KeyEvent kEvt) { return true; } The compiler refuses with this error error C2511: 'bool DCFrameListener::keyPressed(const OIS::KeyEvent)' : overloaded member function not found in 'DCFrameListener' see declaration of 'DCFrameListener' Why is this happening, yet i declared the member keyPressed(const OIS::KeyEvent) in my function declaration. any help will be appreciated. • How can I debug this web service http handler?

    - by baron
Hello everyone, I am building a Httphandler following these instructions here It manipulates HTTP POST and HTTP GET. I have a client with two buttons two POST and GET. After i've tested and happy everythings working I move it from localhost to IIS. Now when I do this I get an exception in the POST handler code. How on earth can I debug this code line by line? I managed to do this awhile ago, I thought it was by attaching to process but I can't work it out. I can emulate GET just by typing address in browser, post im not sure about. I've tried telnetting and sending it from there but haven't had any luck.

  • Get Process ID of Program Started with C# Process.Start

    - by ThaKidd
    Thanks in advance of all of your help! I am currently developing a program in C# 2010 that launches PLink (Putty) to create a SSH Tunnel. I am trying to make the program able to keep track of each tunnel that is open so a user may terminate those instances that are no longer needed. I am currently using System.Diagnostics.Process.Start to run PLink (currently Putty being used). I need to determine the PID of each plink program when it is launched so a user can terminate it at will. Question is how to do that and am I using the right .Net name space or is there something better? Code snippet: private void btnSSHTest_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { String puttyConString; puttyConString = "-ssh -P " + cboSSHVersion.SelectedText + " -" + txtSSHPort.Text + " -pw " + txtSSHPassword.Text + " " + txtSSHUsername.Text + "@" + txtSSHHostname.Text; Process.Start("C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Putty\\putty.exe", puttyConString); }

  • VS2012 - Sync project properties and ClickOnce Build number

    - by Horst Walter
There is a build / version number automatically increasing with Publish for ClickOnce applications. This version number is different from the assembly version in the project properties (which in turn is automatically displayed in a generated WPF about box). Is there a way to sync the ClickOnce version number and the project number in the assembly properties? Goal is to get an automatically increasing and identical version number for both places.

  • Implementing sub fields in a PropertyGrid

    - by evolve
Alright so my terminology when it comes to C# isn't great, so I'll attempt to explain this with a small example. If you create a class which you are using within a PropertyGrid and you have the following values: class Test { public Point example { get; set; } } This will produce a PropertyGrid which has an expandable object "example" which has fields X and Y in order to create a "Point". I'm attempting to create an object "name" which has fields "firstname" and "lastname", so I have: class Test { public Name example { get; set; } } public struct Name { public string firstname { get; set; } public string lastname { get; set; } } This however isn't working as intended. I think I need to override some method(s) in order to get this working, however since I don't really have the terminology down for PropertyGrids it is difficult for me to find a solution. Any help would be great.

  • onTextChanged Event for many Textboxes c#

    - by Alan Bennett
Hi, I am currently building a prototype for a new system screen, and i am using c# to build this. The question i have is, i currently have 14 textboxes which are filled from a condition from a couple of other controls on the screen. these 14 textboxes all add up to a total shown in another textbox. as these textboxes are editable (in case the client wishes to increase the value) (cant go into to much detail but they will) I need to have a firable ontextchange event for when the values change so the total box updates. however i have a feeling there must be a way of not having to create 14 different events, is there a way that i can have 1 event which fires if any of the 14 text boxes are fired? thanks Alan

  • When do I need to deallocate memory?

    - by extintor
I am using this code inside a class to make a webbrowser control visit a website: void myClass::visitWeb(const char *url) { WCHAR buffer[MAX_LEN]; ZeroMemory(buffer, sizeof(buffer)); MultiByteToWideChar(CP_ACP, MB_ERR_INVALID_CHARS, url, strlen(url), buffer, sizeof(buffer)-1); VARIANT vURL; vURL.vt = VT_BSTR; vURL.bstrVal = SysAllocString(buffer); // webbrowser navigate code... VariantClear(&vURL); } I call visitWeb from another void function that gets called on the handlemessage() for the app. Do I need to do some memory deallocation here?, I see vURL is being deallocated by VariantClear but should I deallocate memory for buffer? I've been told that in another bool I have in the same app I shouldn't deallocate anything because everything clear out when the bool return true/false, but what happens on this void?

  • Including javascript files from other projects inside the same solution

    - by gnomixa
I have a project called WebResources where I have all the JS files that I intend to use in 2 other projects (all three projects sit in the same solution). I just spent 2 hours playing around with the file paths and VS just doesn't see the JS file (unless I specify the full path with the drive letter). Is there a trick to including javascript files relatively from other projects? My file structure is something like: Project1 Default.aspx Project2 WebResourcesProject /js testToInclude.js No matter how I try to include testToInclude.js inside Default.aspx, VS doesn't see it. Any ideas?
