• SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services - Configuration Manager & Management Studio Problems

  When I open Reporting Services Configuration Manager on my server, an error message appears that says: Reporting Services Configuration Manager An unknown error has occurred in the WMI Provider. Error Code 800706B3 This error appears before I can even attempt to connect to an SSRS instance. In addition to this problem, I'm not able to connect to my SSRS instance via SSMS on my desktop. When I attempt to connect, I get the following error message: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. (mscorlib) Additional information: The operation could not be completed. (WinMgmt) Information about my environment: Server: Win Server 2K3 x64, SQL 2005 x64 SP3 Build 9.0.4053 Desktop: Windows 7 Enterprise x64 Steps I have already taken: I have installed the latest service pack on my server and workstation. I do not see any errors in my event logs.

• unmet dependencies and broken count>0 problem

  I tried installing fbreader, following all the steps, but ended up with unmet dependencies, i also think a file is referenced in two locations at once and hence killing it.. any ideas how I can fix it? i've done alot of research and tried: simon@simon-Studio-1558:~$ sudo apt-get -f install Reading package lists... • Python PyBluez loses Bluetooth connection after a while

  I am using Python to write a simple serial Bluetooth script that sends information about my computer stats periodically. The receiving device is a Sparkfun BlueSmirf Silver. The problem is that, after the script runs for a few minutes, it stops sending packets to the receiver and fails with the error: (11, 'Resource temporarily unavailable') Noticing that this inevitably happens, I added some code to automatically try to reopen the connection. However, then I get: Could not connect: (16, 'Device or resource busy') Am I doing something wrong with the connection? Do I need to occasionally reopen the socket? I'm not sure how to recover from this type of error. I understand that sometimes the port will be busy and a write operation is deferred to avoid blocking other processes, but I wouldn't expect the connection to fail so regularly. Any thoughts?   I installed selinux first, I set SELINUX=enforcing instead of its original value, SELINUX=permissive in /etc/selinux/config, then I reboot my computer. I waited for some time, but it stopped, I rebooted again and it can not go into the system anymore so I restored the setting. I tried to run seinfo command in a terminal, but it output some errors below: ERROR: policydb version 26 does not match my version range 15-24 ERROR: Unable to open policy /etc/selinux/ubuntu/policy/policy.26.   I'm trying to install Dans Guardian on a virtual machine. The instructions ask me to run the ./configure script and then execute the command make install. The configure script runs fine but the make install throws errors.   I was trying to install Exchange 2010 prerequisites, when I encountered some error. All look like the same. Like this one: Error: Installation of [Windows Process Activation Service] Configuration APIs failed. the server needs to be restarted to undo the changes. My server is running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition. UPDATE: I tried installing the prerequisites one by one using PowerShell. Now I have errors on RPC over Http proxy: Installation of [Web Server (IIS)] Tracing Failed, Attempt to install tracing failed with error code 0x80070643. Fatal error during installation. Searching about the error code doesn't tell me much more than something went wrong when trying to update windows. Installing Http Tracing alone also doesn't make any difference.

  Hi guys, I've been stuck with a compilation problem when building a standardised virtual machine on CentOS 5.4, and I'm in the dark here as to a) why this error is occurring, and b) how to fix it, and in the hope that someone else stumbles across this problem too, I'm hoping someone can help me find the solution here. I'm getting a configure: error: newly created file is older than distributed files! error when trying to compile Ruby Enterprise like below when I try to run the installer, and the solutions offered to on the forums (of checking the tine, and touching the files to update the time associated with them) don't seem to be helping here. What steps can I take to work out what the cause of this problem?   I want to use my GPU's ram as a ramdisk, following these instructions : http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Using_Graphics_Card_Memory_as_Swap But when I input the " modprobe phram phram=VRAM,0xd8400000,124Mi " command, I get the following error : modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'phram': Input/output error I use Ubuntu Studio 14.04. Also, is there anyway I could use more than the 128M of prefetchable memory, my GPU has 1GB of ram, I would prefer to use "most" of it.

  I have ubuntu 12.04 64-bit system, when i run glxinfo i see some strange error about indirect rendering and failed to load some lib32/dri/swrast_dri libraries. • Unable to delete file from read-only file system

  I cannot delete files, when I tried to delete the file, this message appeard: "Error while deleting. There was an error deleting file2.rar." This is what I get from clicking on SHOW MORE DETAILS: "Error removing file: Read-only file system" This is what I've tried so far: delete from the downloads directory from my user. deleting permanently, but it does not work. • 12.04 installation started to black screen during boot today

  NOTE: Most of this question is now irrelevant. UPDATE 3 summarizes the problem as it stands. I've been running 12.04 on my Lenovo laptop for one month now (updated from 11.04), and I have not had any significant problem until today. This morning, when I boot, I pass the Grub screen, then I get to the purple loading screen with dots as usual, then for some reason I got to the terminal login, with no GUI. startx gives me a black screen. Ctrl+F7-F8 didn't help either. It's similar to: After the update today no graphical interface anymore - 12.04 I followed the instructions at the end, to flush the ATI drivers (which I had installed), and fall back to the community drivers. That made me lose the login! Now I just get a black screen after the Ubuntu loading screen. I can still access the console through recovery, and I've gotten into VESA mode once or twice (not reproducible, for some reason). I've tried various permutations of xorg.conf, without success. Xorg -configure fails for now, though I might be able to get it to work. apt-get update/upgrade doesn't improve anything either. However, both Windows and the 12.04 Live CD still work beautifully, and I know that all my data is still there. Is there any way that I could somehow take the configuration from the Live CD and roll with it? I know that I could reinstall, but that sucks, frankly, especially given that there's no straight-forward way of keeping the home (which, incidentally, is unaccessible from the Live CD) Thank you. Update: it seems that the fglrx drivers are still active, even after I've --purged them. What is it? PARTIALLY SOLVED: I've undone the damage from the fglrx purge. I'm still mystified as to why uninstalling the packages didn't kill fglrx entirely, but I've now recovered the prompt. The solution to the DRI initialization error was to add radeon.modeset=0 to the GRUB boot options. So I'm back to being dropped to a prompt without any GUI. startx gives me a bunch of messages, though no obvious errors. I have little reason to suspect the video drivers, as they worked fine before today. There is no apparent error message in any of the log files. UPDATE: When I startx, I get an error, Plymounth command failed mountall: Disconnected from Plymouth This is all over the Internet, but I have not found anything that works for me yet. UPDATE 3: If I press ESC during boot, the splash screen (Plymouth!) disappears, and I no longer have any error from Plymouth. The last error message is: Stopping mount filesystems on boot I can then Ctrl+Alt+F1 to get the TTY1, but startx still does not work. Sadly, the Internet knows nothing about this error message, and neither do I. Help!

  I am trying to install ANewStart GNOME shell themes on Ubuntu 11.10. I have installed gnome shell extension for themes: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/gnome3 sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gnome-shell-extensions-user-theme I got the instructions from here ANewStart GNOME Shell Theme + AwOken Icons Theme = Pure Art. • Why is mysql unable to configure?

  I try to install mysql-server on my Ubuntu vps server, and it's able to install, but not to configure. • AppUpdater and wamp server

  I've got an winforms application and I want to implement auto updater to this application. I followed the instructions on the site and got everything setup right. (appupdater application) Now I tried a test and I'm getting the following error back from the appupdater: the remote server returned an error 405 I googled this and this is because my server isn't setup with the right access. I'm using a wampserver and in the apache httpd.conf I added the following lines so my directory is allowed for access: <Directory "c:/wamp/www/updater/V11/"> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks AllowOverride all # onlineoffline tag - don't remove Order Deny,Allow Deny from all Allow from 127.0.0.1 </Directory> But I'm still getting the same error back. I can find information for the IIS configurations, but not for apache. edit: I'm still getting the error, I opened the error log file of apache and I see the following - "PROPFIND /updater/V11/ HTTP/1.1" 405 238 the updater component is using the HTTP-DAV. edit2: it seems that nobody had this kind of situation.

  MY NTFS Partition has gotten corrupt somehow (it's a relic from the days when I had Windows installed). I'm putting the debug output of fdisk and blkid here. At the same time, any OS is unable to mount my root partition, which is located next to my NTFS partition. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, though. • Percona MySQL 5.5 fails to start

  trying to setup new server here but keep getting this in error log: mysqld_safe Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /data/mysql/myisam [Warning] Can't create test file /data/mysql/myisam/hostname.lower-test [Warning] Can't create test file /data/mysql/myisam/hostname.lower-test [Note] Flashcache bypass: disabled [Note] Flashcache setup error is : setmntent failed /usr/sbin/mysqld: File '/var/mysql/bin/bin-log.index' not found (Errcode: 13) [ERROR] Aborting [Note] /usr/sbin/mysqld: Shutdown complete mysqld_safe mysqld from pid file /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid ended everything under /data/mysql (it's ibdata and myisam folders) is owned my mysql:mysql and has proper permissions same goes for folders with bin and relay logs under /var/mysql apparmor is purged from server any ideas? PS it seems like something else apart from apparmor is affecting permissions to access mysql files after i changed data directory to more default one - /var/lib/mysql and "Can't create test file" error is gone, but "'/var/mysql/bin/bin-log.index' not found (Errcode: 13)" is still there PPS so i installed apparmor back and added all folders to mysqld's profile and errors mentioned above are now gone(or mysql doesn't even get to that point now) what i have now is this: /usr/sbin/mysqld: error while loading shared libraries: libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory banging my head against the wall.
