• CurvyCorners in Wordpress Theme only rounds some corners in IE - what am I doing wrong?

  Hi, I'm implementing the CurvyCorners script on a blog I'm developing. The script works in IE on some parts of the blog, but not others. • uppercase to lowercase in bash on a mac

  Hi I'm writing a bash script which needs to convert a string to lowercase. The problem is I'm doing it on a mac so 'tr' is not available. How can I go about doing this on a mac? The problem I'm trying to tackle is that my script needs to recognize an if an extension is a .gif or a .jpg - and I don't want to have to check for .jpeg, .jPeg, .JPEG, .JPeg, etc etc etc... if there's a smarter way of doing this than just converting to lowercase and testing for gif, jpg and jpeg, i'm all ears :)

• jquery clear animation queue

  I have the code below, which works fine it can be viewed here for an example. Once the user hovers over one menu, you can then not hover over it again unless the page is refreshed. • STAThread and Process output capture in c#

  Hi: This is a strange problem I encountered. I have an window application written in c# to do testing. It has a MDI parent form that is hosting a few children forms. One of the forms launch test cripts by creating processes and capture the scripts output to a text box. Another form open serial port and monitoring the status of the device I am working on(like a shell). If I ran both of them together, the output of the script seems only appear in the text box after the test is done. However, If I don't open the serial port form, the output of the script is captured in real time. Does anyone knows what's causing the problem? I notice the onDataReceived even handler for serial port form has a [STAThread] header to it. Will this cause the serial port thread having higher priority than other processes? Thanks in advance.

• "Phased" execution of functions in javascript

This is my first post on stackoverflow, so please don't flame me too hard if I come across like a total nitwit or if I'm unable ot make myself perfectly clear. :-) Here's my problem: I'm trying to write a javascript function that "ties" two functions to another by checking the first one's completion and then executing the second one. The easy solution to this obviously would be to write a meta function that calls both functions within it's scope. However, if the first function is asynchronous (specifically an AJAX call) and the second function requires the first one's result data, that simply won't work. My idea for a solution was to give the first function a "flag", i.e. making it create a public property "this.trigger" (initialized as "0", set to "1" upon completion) once it is called; doing that should make it possible for another function to check the flag for its value ([0,1]). If the condition is met ("trigger == 1") the second function should get called.   Hello I am trying to setup per-user fastcgi scripts that will run each on different port and with different user. Here is example of my script: #!/bin/bash BIND=127.0.0.1:9001 USER=user PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN=2 PHP_FCGI_MAX_REQUESTS=10000 etc... However, if I add user with /bin/false (which I want, since this is about to be something like shared hosting and I dont want users to have shell access), the script is run'd under 1001, 1002 'user' which, as I googled, might be security hole. My question is: Is it possible to allow user(s) execute shell scripts but disable them to log in via SSH ? Thank you

Backslash is considered as a escape character in JS but what you need when you need to pass windows path from the JS and print it? I am using eval because my java applet is executing the code and placing bits when it has a string to evaluate.   I'm trying to install pylucene on Windows XP. I installed JDK on C:\Programme\Java\jdk1.6.0_18 . I also installed Visual Studio C++ Express to have a C++ compiler. • Saving Interface Builder Changes when building in Xcode

  I know many of you have experienced the same the scenario, where you are banging your head against the wall wondering what is wrong with your app only to find that you have forgotten to save your Interface Builder changes. Well, this never happens to me, because for some reason Xcode will prompt me to save any changes in Interface Builder whenever I build. A coworker and I are trying to figure out how to change this on his machine, with no success. I must have done something in the very early stages of my iphone development life to configure this. Does anyone know how to link IB with Xcode so that it will prompt to save changes to IB files during a build?

• Using info.plist for storing target-specific values for a multi-target app

  I have a multi-target iPhone app which currently includes a header file with constant definitions that are conditionally included at build time depending on which target is being built. However, I was wondering if it might be better to instead include this information in the info.plist for the build, as this generally holds target-specific meta, so logically seems more appropriate. Therefore, my questions are: Is it acceptable to include custom (non-Apple defined) keys in the info.plist file? Is this a suitable place to include meta for the app which changes between targets?

  I'm looking for a version numbering scheme that expresses the extent of change, especially compatiblity. Apache APR, for example, use the well known version numbering scheme <major>.<minor>.<patch> example: 4.5.11 Maven suggests a similar but more detailed schema: <major>.<minor>.<patch>-<qualifier>-<build number> example: 4.5.11-RC1-3732 Where is the Maven versioning scheme defined? Are there conventions for qualifier and build number? Probably it is a bad idea to use maven but not to follow the Maven version scheme ... What other version numbering schemes do you know? What scheme would you prefer and why?

I'm facing a problem: I created the web service via the web service wizard and the service shows up in the axis service list. If I porint to the wsdl - its generated. Now when I'm trying to build the client, I choose the wsdl, the client project and take the next button, well at the client web service configuration everything is empty. • How to get more details of a java compilation

  Hi, We are using an ant script in order to build our application. I recently made a change in one jar required by our app. However, when running the ant script, the compilation fails and the error message shown let me think that the compiler is using a previous version of the jar. Also, compilation throug my IDE works fine. Manual compilation with the javac command and specifying my new jar works as well. When looking at the classpath used by ant to build, I can see that the jar seems to be the correct one. So I am a bit lost actually, don't know where to look at ... Any ideas ? I also wanted to know if this is possible to get the path of the jar javac is really using when compiling a particular class .. Thanks and regards

  I admittedly don't know much about JQuery but I have an AJAX page where I need to trigger a click event when someone clicks a button, but because the button is not there on the initial page load, I'm having issues using the click event. • Dinamically creating a member ID card as pdf using PHP?

  I need to code a PHP script that would let me generate a pdf file which displays a member ID card (something like a credit card used to identify oneself) at a certain resolution. Let me explain: I do have the basic blueprint of the card in png file format. The script needs to drop in a member's name and birth day along with a serial. So far, no problem - there are plenty of good working PHP librarys out there. My problem is to ensure that the resulting pdf (the generated image of the card, to be precise) meets a certain resolution (preferably 300dpi), so that printing it would look right. Any ideas?   HI, I use a WebBrowser control to navigate to a html page which contains JavaScript. When I open this page in the IE browser no JavaScript error is shown and the page is displayed and functions perfectly. But when navigating to the same page with the WebBrowser control, a pop-up appears to inform about a Script error. I have tried to suppress the script error with the ScriptErrorsSuppressed property but now another pop-up comes up with the title "Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger" and proposes to debug. How can i disable all the errors?

  I downloaded a sample code from the MAC OSX developer library and the code is the format of a .pbproj (Project builder) and im unable to open it on xcode. I have tried the following without any luck:- 1) Rename FancyAbout.pbproj to Old.xcodeproj 2) Open Old.xcodeproj. Xcode will ask you to upgrade it. Save it as FancyAbout.xcodeproj. 3) When the project opens, choose Project Upgrade All Targets in Project to Native... to upgrade to the Xcode build system 4) Build and run. It works. I run a Mac 10.7.3 with Xcode on 4.3.2 Anyone have any suggestions on how i can get this running in xcode? Thanks in advance!
