  • Lightbox close and loading images not showing

    - by Mark Szymanski
I am using Lightbox 2 and I have followed the short tutorial on how to insert it in a webpage and it works perfectly but the close and refresh images don't show. They are replaced with the classic Mac OS X '?' box. I have checked the paths of these images in the lightbox.js file and they are correct. Thanks in advance!

    - by Kevin Jolan
I'm working on a new website using highchart. But i have a little issue with how it looks / is setup. I'm wondering if its possible to remove the "Tokyo, New York, Berlin, London" on the right side of the image? I would like to add a discription my self, and remove the exsisting one. Any Suggestions on how i can remove them? (But i want to keep the lines in the graph) is there any way i can modify or hide this? (it also take up unnecessary space on the website)

  • How can I reuduce jQuery ?

    - by Tommy
I'm using just a few basic jQuery functions on my site. How can I remove unused jQuery code? Knowing only the basics, I looked at the code and was not sure where to start. If you could point me in the right direction, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Ember nested route. Load more models

    - by user3568719
JsBin http://jsbin.com/EveQOke/153/ I know how to load more then one model to a route, using Ember.RSVP.hash. (see Jsbin Children menu). I use dynamic part to access one elem from a collection children/1. But i cant load more models to a nested resource. In my example i want to populate all the toys for a select, not just list the toys of the child. I have tried to access the model of the route children App.ChildRoute = Ember.Route.extend({ model: function(param){ return Ember.RSVP.hash({ allToys: this.modelFor("children"), child:this.store.find('child', param.child_id) }); } }); and use its model's toy property (since there have already loaded all of the toys) child.hbs <h4>All avaiable toys</h4> <table> {{#each toy in model.allToys.toys}} <tr> <td>{{toy.name}}</td> </tr> {{/each}} </table>

  • copy an element as HTML to clipboard

    - by Brian Scott
I've managed to write some jQuery to find an element and copy it's html to the clipboard (ie only). The problem is that when I paste this into a rich text box area in sharepoint it pastes the HTML as text only. How do i replicate the user action of highlighting a link on a page and pressing copy. When I do this manually and then paste the clipboard contents the rich text area realises that it is markup and replicates the link as an anchor in the text content.

  • WCF webHttpBinding with jQuery AJAX - removing/working around same origin policy

    - by csauve
So I'm trying to create a C# WCF REST service that is called by jQuery. I've discovered that jQuery requires that AJAX calls are made under the same origin policy. I have a few questions for how I might proceed. I am already aware of; 1. The hacky solution of JSONP with a server callback 2. The way too much server overhead of having a cross-domain proxy. 3. Using Flash in the browser to make the call and setting up crossdomain.xml at my WCF server root. I'd rather not use these because; 1. I don't want to use JSON, or at least I don't want to be restricted to using it 2. I would like to separate the server that serves static pages from the one that serves application state. 3. Flash in this day in age is out of the question. What I'm thinking: is there anything like Flash's crossdomain.xml file that works for jQuery? Is this "same-origin" policy a part of jQuery or is it a restriction in specific browsers? If it's just a part of jQuery, maybe I'll try digging in the code to work around it.

  • Most efficient way to save tile data of an isometric game

    - by Harmen
Hello, I'm working on an isometric game for fast browsers that support <canvas>, which is great fun. To save information of each tile, I use a two-dimensional array which contains numbers representing a tile ID, like: var level = [[1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 0], [0, 1, 1, 2, 0, 1], [0, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1]]; var tiles = [ {name: 'grass', color: 'green'}, {name: 'water', color: 'blue'}, {name: 'forest', color: 'ForestGreen'} ]; So far it works great, but now I want to work with heights and slopes like in this picture: For each tile I need to save it's tile ID, height and information about which corners are turned upward. I came up with a simple idea about a bitwise representation of all four corners, like this: 1011 // top, bottom and left corner turned up My question is: what is the most efficient way to save these three values for each cell? Is it possible to save these three values as one integer?

  • Backbone.js Collection Iteration Using .each()

    - by the_archer
I've been doing some Backbone.js coding and have come across a particular problem where I am having trouble iterating over the contents of a collection. The line Tasker_TodoList.each(this.addOne, this);in the addAll function in AppView is not executing properly for some reason, throwing the error: Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function the code in question is: $(function() { var Todo = Backbone.Model.extend({ defaults: { title: "Some Title...", status: 0 //not completed } }); var TodoList = Backbone.Collection.extend({ model: Todo, localStorage: new Store('tasker') }); var Tasker_TodoList = new TodoList(); var TodoView = Backbone.View.extend({ tagName: 'li', template: _.template($('#todoTemplate').html()), events: { 'click .delbtn': 'delTodo' }, initialize: function(){ console.log("a new todo initialized"); //this.model.on('change', this.render, this); }, render: function(){ this.$el.html(this.template(this.model.toJSON())); return this; }, delTodo: function(){ console.log("deleted todo"); } }); var AppView = Backbone.View.extend({ el: 'body', events: { 'click #addBtn': 'createOnClick' }, initialize: function(){ Tasker_TodoList.fetch(); Tasker_TodoList.on('add', this.addAll); console.log(Tasker_TodoList); }, addAll: function(){ $('#tasksList').html(''); console.log("boooooooma"); Tasker_TodoList.each(this.addOne, this); }, addOne: function(todo){ console.log(todo); }, createOnClick: function(){ Tasker_TodoList.create(); } }); var Tasker = new AppView(); }); can somebody help me in finding out what I am doing wrong? • Angular ng-style not changing with property

    - by ganaraj
For the life of me I cant seem to figure out why the style property is not getting updated. In my larger application it seems to work fine. http://jsfiddle.net/ganarajpr/C2hRa/4/ Here is a fiddle which shows the issue I am currently facing. You will notice that the width and height are getting updated in the div when you change the input. But the style itself doesnt seem to be updating. Anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong here? I have tried all the following scenarios using $scope.$apply.. - Throws an error stating $apply already in progress.. $rootScope.$apply - same as above. Setting another variable in a service which is $watched in the other controller. - no change seen. It would be really cool if someone can get me an answer to this. Also would be really happy if you can tell me why exactly it is not getting updated.

  • RegEx to replace html entities

    - by DeltaFox
Hi, all. I'm looking for a way to replace the bullet character in Greasemonkey. I assume a Regular Expression will do the trick, but I'm not as well-versed in it as many of you. For example, "SampleSite.com • Page Title" becoming "SampleSite.com Page Title". The issue is that the character has already been parsed by the time Greasemonkey has gotten to it, and I don't know how to make it recognize the symbol. I've tried these so far, but they haven't worked: newTitle = document.title.replace(/•/g, ""); newTitle = document.title.replace("•", ""); //just for grins, but didn't work anyway

I have all of the script files included on the Popup's Master page, so am not sure why it won't fire. Any Thoughts?

  • Back-to-back ajax long poll without a recursive callback function.

    - by Teddy
I'm trying to make long poll ajax calls, back to back. The problem with the current way I'm doing it is that I make each successive call from the callback function of the previous call. Is this a problem? Firebug doesn't show any of my ajax calls as completed, even thought the data is returned and the callback is executed. The recursive structure seems inefficient. Any ideas?

  • AngularJS: download pdf file from the server

    - by Bartosz Bialecki
I want to download a pdf file from the web server using $http. I use this code which works great, my file only is save as a html file, but when I open it it is opened as pdf but in the browser. I tested it on Chrome 36, Firefox 31 and Opera 23. This is my angularjs code (based on this code): UserService.downloadInvoice(hash).success(function (data, status, headers) { var filename, octetStreamMime = "application/octet-stream", contentType; // Get the headers headers = headers(); if (!filename) { filename = headers["x-filename"] || 'invoice.pdf'; } // Determine the content type from the header or default to "application/octet-stream" contentType = headers["content-type"] || octetStreamMime; if (navigator.msSaveBlob) { var blob = new Blob([data], { type: contentType }); navigator.msSaveBlob(blob, filename); } else { var urlCreator = window.URL || window.webkitURL || window.mozURL || window.msURL; if (urlCreator) { // Try to use a download link var link = document.createElement("a"); if ("download" in link) { // Prepare a blob URL var blob = new Blob([data], { type: contentType }); var url = urlCreator.createObjectURL(blob); $window.saveAs(blob, filename); return; link.setAttribute("href", url); link.setAttribute("download", filename); // Simulate clicking the download link var event = document.createEvent('MouseEvents'); event.initMouseEvent('click', true, true, window, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, false, false, false, false, 0, null); link.dispatchEvent(event); } else { // Prepare a blob URL // Use application/octet-stream when using window.location to force download var blob = new Blob([data], { type: octetStreamMime }); var url = urlCreator.createObjectURL(blob); $window.location = url; } } } }).error(function (response) { $log.debug(response); }); On my server I use Laravel and this is my response: $headers = array( 'Content-Type' => $contentType, 'Content-Length' => strlen($data), 'Content-Disposition' => $contentDisposition ); return Response::make($data, 200, $headers); where $contentType is application/pdf and $contentDisposition is attachment; filename=" . basename($fileName) . • Assign click event to addon icon on navigation bar

    - by Charsee
We have created a chrome extension for our app. Where we call a METHOD from a "js file" on CLICK event of the "extension icon" placed on the navigation bar. For this we use message passing between the app.js (file containing the METHOD to be called on icon click) and background.html (using a js file included in this html). The script used to pass message is:(from background.html) chrome.browserAction.onClicked.addListener(function (tab) { chrome.tabs.sendMessage(tab.id, "showPopup"); }); and to listen the message :(in app.js) chrome.extension.onMessage.addListener(function(request) { if (request === "showPopup") { showPopup(); } }); The click event works as expected. But now we want to do same thing in mozilla extension. and we can't pass message to app.js on the click of the icon,so that it can execute the containing methods. We have also added the app.js using pageMod, something like this exports.main = function(options, callbacks) { pageMod.PageMod({ include: ["*"], contentScriptWhen: 'start', contentScriptFile: [data.url('jquery-1.7.1.min.js'),data.url('app.js')] }); createAndAddNavBarButton(); }; function createAndAddNavBarButton() { var navBar = document.getElementById('nav-bar');//assume document has been defined if (!navBar){return;}; var nbBtn = document.createElement('navbaricon'); nbBtn.setAttribute('id', 'navButton'); nbBtn.setAttribute('image', data.url('icon_16.png')); nbBtn.onclick = function(){ showPopup(); return true; } navBar.appendChild(btn); } But the click event does nothing and showPopup() is undefined. When a new page loads event associated with it in the app.js executes without any error but the click event doesn't work. Is there a method from where we can assign click event directly to this icon, as we have done in the case of chrome extension.

  • Node.js Creating and Deleting a File Recursively

    - by Matt
I thought it would be a cool experiment to have a for loop and create a file hello.txt and then delete it with unlink. I figured that if fs.unlink is the delete file procedure in Node, then fs.link must be the create file. However, my code will only delete, and it will not create, not even once. Even if I separate the fs.link code into a separate file, it still will not create my file hello.txt. Below is my code: var fs = require('fs'), for(var i=1;i<=10;i++){ fs.unlink('./hello.txt', function (err) { if (err){ throw err; } else { console.log('successfully deleted file'); } fs.link('./hello.txt', function (err) { if (err){ throw err; } else { console.log('successfully created file'); } }); }); } http://nodejs.org/api/fs.html#fs_fs_link_srcpath_dstpath_callback Thank you!
