Update: I have set up openDKIM on my server, everything works, gmail message headers say that dkim=pass, which means everything is set up correctly. Messages still end up in Spam folder.

• C-array to NSData and back

  I'm attempting to save a c-style array of Vertex3D structs to an NSData object and get them back when reloading the app: NSData *vert = [NSData dataWithBytes:&vertices length:(sizeof(Vertex3D) * NUM_OF_VERTICES)]; This data is then saved and attempted to be read back into my c-array thusly: vertices = malloc(sizeof(Vertex3D) * NUM_OF_VERTICES); [vert getBytes:&vertices length:(sizeof(Vertex3D) * NUM_OF_VERTICES)]; The above results in “EXC_BAD_ACCESS” followed by: malloc: * error for object 0x48423c0: pointer being freed was not allocated I'm very new to programming so there's probably some fundamental memory management principle I'm unaware of. I have verified that the loaded NSData is identical to the saved one, but it's clear that the transition from c-array to NSData (and back) is not as I intended.

• Selective PHP autoload

  I am writing a add-on module which is integrated with an existing PHP application; Because I am using a MVC pattern, and which may requires lot of inclusion of classes (which might not be used at all depending on the action of the user), I decide to use autoloading of classes. However, I have to ensure that the autoload function does not interferes with the normal operations of the existing applications. Does autoload only kicks in if a class name is not defined? Say I have to write another module which uses its own autoload functions (say, I have an autoload for a module, since they each reside in their own folder), how do I differentiate which module is it for? For #2, I thought of 2 options. Either prefix the class name with the module name (Such as 'MyNewModule_View_Default' and 'AnotherModule_View_Default'), or use file_exists to check the include file exists. Other suggestions are welcomed too!

• DHCP and DNS on none AD 2003 Server PTR is updating but no A records

  I have a strange issue, I have a DHCP and DNS server running in a non AD environment, on Windows 2003 server. I setup DHCP to update DNS A and PTR records even if the client doesnt request it, but I only see PTR records updated, the A records are not created at all. The domain is "local" forward zone is called "local" and in the option 15 set to "local" (actual name) the PTR records are created with the right name (example: win64_ent.local), What am I missing here ?

I attempted to write a regex that would suffice for either condition. No dice. • Use launchctl to fire an AppleScript script periodically

  I have written an AppleScript that lets me back up a particular file. The script runs fine inside AppleScript Editor: it does what it's supposed to do perfectly. So far so good. Now I'd like to run this script at timed intervals. So I use launchctl & .plist to make this happen.   Hi I have this sample model working with the admin class Author(models.Model): name = models.CharField(_('Text in here'), max_length=100) with verbose_name set as ugettext_lazy 'Text in here', but sometimes, depending on the site_id i want to present a diferent verbose name, so I modified the init in this way def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs): super(Author, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) #some logic in here self._meta.get_field('name').verbose_name = _('Other text') It works, displaying the 'Other text' instead the 'Text in here'... except for the very first time the author/add view is used. ¿Is it the right way to do it? ¿How can i fix the first time problem? • FileUtils.mv adding linebreaks in Windows

  I am streaming wav data from a flash application. If I get the data and do the following: f = File.open('c:/test.wav') f << wav_data.pack('c'*wav_data.length) f.close The wav file works perfectly. If I do this: f = Tempfile.new('test.wav') f << wav_data.pack('c'*wav_data.length) f.close FileUtils.mv(f.path, 'c:/') The file is there, but sounds all garbled. Checking in a hex editor shows that everywhere the working file had an 0A (or \n), the garbled version had 0D0A (or \r\n) I am using this in conjuction with rails+paperclip, and am going to be using a combination of Heroku and S3 for the live app, so I am hoping this problem will solve itself, but I'd like to get this working on my local machine for the time being. Does anybody know of any reason FileUtils.mv would be doing this, and if there is a way to change its behaviour?

• Faster Matrix Multiplication in C#

  I have as small c# project that involves matrices. I am processing large amounts of data by splitting it into n-length chunks, treating the chucks as vectors, and multiplying by a Vandermonde** matrix. The problem is, depending on the conditions, the size of the chucks and corresponding Vandermonde** matrix can vary. I have a general solution which is easy to read, but way too slow: public byte[] addBlockRedundancy(byte[] data) { if (data.Length!=numGood) D.error("Expecting data to be just "+numGood+" bytes long"); aMatrix d=aMatrix.newColumnMatrix(this.mod, data); var r=vandermonde.multiplyBy(d); return r.ToByteArray(); }//method This can process about 1/4 megabytes per second on my i5 U470 @ 1.33GHz. I can make this faster by manually inlining the matrix multiplication: int o=0; int d=0; for (d=0; d<data.Length-numGood; d+=numGood) { for (int r=0; r<numGood+numRedundant; r++) { Byte value=0; for (int c=0; c<numGood; c++) { value=mod.Add(value, mod.Multiply(vandermonde.get(r, c), data[d+c])); }//for output[r][o]=value; }//for o++; }//for This can process about 1 meg a second. (Please note the "mod" is performing operations over GF(2^8) modulo my favorite irreducible polynomial.) I know this can get a lot faster: After all, the Vandermonde** matrix is mostly zeros. I should be able to make a routine, or find a routine, that can take my matrix and return a optimized method which will effectively multiply vectors by the given matrix, but faster. Then, when I give this routine a 5x5 Vandermonde matrix (the identity matrix), there is simply no arithmetic to perform, and the original data is just copied. ** Please note: What I use the term "Vandermonde", I actually mean an Identity matrix with some number of rows from the Vandermonde matrix appended (see comments). This matrix is wonderful because of all the zeros, and because if you remove enough rows (of your choosing) to make it square, it is an invertible matrix. And, of course, I would like to use this same routine to convert any one of those inverted matrices into an optimized series of instructions. How can I make this matrix multiplication faster? Thanks! • NSFetchedResultsController titleForHeaderInSection with formatted NSDate

  In my Core Data app I am using a FetchedResultsController. Usually to set titles for headers in a UITableView you would implement the following method like so: - (NSString *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView titleForHeaderInSection:(NSInteger)section { id <NSFetchedResultsSectionInfo> sectionInfo = [[<#Fetched results controller#> sections] objectAtIndex:section]; return [sectionInfo name]; } where [sectionInfo name] returns a NSString. my sectionKeyPath is based on an NSDate and this all works fine apart from the section headers it gives me are the raw date description strings (e.g. 12/12/2009 12:32:32 +0100) which look a bit of a mess in a header! So I want to use a date formatter on this to make a nice header like "Apr 17 2010" but I can't do that with the [sectionInfo name] as this is NSString! Any Ideas? Many Thanks

• facing problems while updating rows in hbase

  Hello i've just started exploring hbase i've run samples : SampleUploader,PerformanceEvaluation and rowcount as given in hadoop wiki: http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/Hbase/MapReduce The problem im facing is : table1 is my table with the column family column create 'table1','column' put 'table1','row1','column:address','SanFrancisco' hbase(main):020:0 scan 'table1' ROW COLUMN+CELL row1 column=column:address, timestamp=1276351974560, value=SanFrancisco put 'table1','row1','column:name','Hannah' hbase(main):020:0 scan 'table1' ROW COLUMN+CELL row1 column=column:address,timestamp=1276351974560,value=SanFrancisco row1 column=column:name, timestamp=1276351899573, value=Hannah i want both the columns to appear in the same row as a different version similary, if i change the name column to sarah, it shows the updated row.... but i want both the old row and the changed row to appear as 2 different versions so that i could make analysis on the data........ whatis the mistake im making???? thank u a lot sammy
