  • How can I click through an alert box with a VBScript automating IE?

    I have a VBScript that is running through a list of actions in IE, and at one point the site displays an Alert box with "OK" and "Cancel" as options. 'OK' is focused when the alert box appears, however SendKeys "{ENTER}" isn't doing the trick. I think perhaps the browser window still has the focus of the VBS. How can I tell the VBS to 'OK' the alert box and continue with the routines?

    Hi, I am looking at using BDD, however, when evaluating the stories/conditions I write (using nBehave), how do I check if the story passes? Do I write another library with test methods? For example, if I want to test a site for having a link called "About", do I write a method which can check this and then another method in another class library which can call the method to check the link via lambda syntax and add the relevant test and bdd attributes?     Users will get to my site using a specific parameter, e.g. : http://www.mysite.com/whatever/?keepTrackOfThisValue=foo or http://www.mysite.com/who/cares/?keepTrackOfThisValue=bar I would like to store the value of this peculiar parameter in Session everytime I found it in the QueryString. I'm currently using the Session_Start event in Global.asax in order to store this but I would like to override the value each time the parameter value change, which is not possible my way. Where would you do this ?

    Hi Folks, I know about ajax cross-domain policy. So I can't just call "http://www.google.com" over a ajax HTTP request and display the results somewhere on my site. I tried it with dataType "jsonp", that actually would work, but I get a syntax error (obviously because the received data is not json formated) Is there any other possiblity to receive/display data from a foreign domain ? iFrames follow the same policy? I thought it would be as simple as looking for a category field in the posts table but it isn't!

  • No postback on any button click on ASP.NET 4.0 application

    The weird thing is If there is a javascript onClick() on a button, postback works otherwise, there is no postback. This was working very recently. I am not sure what recent changes made to the application made this happening throughout the site. The solution suggested by this link does not work as well (that link is applicable to .NET 1.1 though). Any idea whats going on?

    In a Django project, some cronjob programs are mainly used for administrative or analysis purposes, e.g. generating site usage stats, rotating user activities log, etc. We probably do not hope MySQL to cache queries in those programs to save memory usage and improve query cache efficiency. Is it possible to turn off MySQL query cache explicitly in those programs while keep it enabled for other parts including all views.py?

    When a user logs in to my site, I create a cookie with some info in it. However, whenever they change page from logging in, the cookie loses it's value. Cookie is still there but it's empty. I've checked my code and the cookie doesn't get rewritten by anything I've done. Does anyone have any idea to why the cookie becomes empty when the page is changed?
