• Anything wrong with this php code?

  1st I have to say I know nothing bout php. I was actually doing my AS3 guest-book and through parts of tutorials from Activetut, I managed to come out a flash guest-book. So the problem now I'm facing is the guest-book could only inject 1 XML data and it will always clear off the old 1, while the flash is still caching on the old XML files. I'd found some other tutorials(which I think its quite hard since i dunno anything about php) and comparing to the php code I'm using, it seems to be extremely short. As I set ClientId as the id column for this table, I am getting TooManyRowsAffectedException. could you please let me know how to set a composite key at mapping level so that NHibernate can udpate based on ClientId and Type.   Hi, I am using gwt and postgres for my project. On the front end i have few widgets whose data i am trying to save on to tables at the back-end when i click on "save project" button(this also takes the name for the created project). In the asynchronous callback part i am setting more than one table. But it is not sending the data properly. I am getting the following error: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: insert or update on table "entitytype" violates foreign key constraint "entitytype_pname_fkey" Detail: Key (pname)=(Project Name) is not present in table "project". But when i do the select statement on project table i can see that the project name is present. Consider these 4 tables: Object: (oid, name) contains: [1, 'Licence'] and [2, 'Exemption'] Licence: (lid, name) Exemption: (eid, name) Cost: (oid, oid_ref, cost_oid, cost_oid_ref) For: P = Licence with lid [1] R = Exemption with eid [2] i can say "object P is a parent to object R" if the following Cost record exists: [oid: 2 oid_ref: 2 cost_oid: 1 cost_oid_ref: 1] I understand that this creates somesort of 'conditional foreign key' relation which I need to define in code. Is it possible to have the nested set loaded with these conditions?

  I was wondering if anyone could help a desperate newbie with perl with the following question. I've been trying all day but with my perl book at work, I can't seem to anything relevant in google...or maybe am genuinely stupid with this. I have a file that looks something like the following: Bob April Bob April Bob March Mary August Robin December Robin April The output file I'm after is: Bob April April March Mary August Robin December April So that it lists each month in the order that it appears for each person. I tried making it into a hash but of course it wouldn't let me have duplicates so I thought I would like to have arrays for each name (in this example, Bob, Mary and Robin). I'm afraid to upload the code I've been trying to tweak because I know it'll be horribly wrong. I think I need to define(?) the array. Would this be correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated and I promise I will be studying more about perl in the meantime. Apparently the codename was NGWS: Microsoft started development on the .NET Framework in the late 1990s originally under the name of Next Generation Windows Services (NGWS). • Updating extra attributes in a has_many, :through relationship using Rails

  I've managed to set up a many-to-many relationship between the following models Characters Skills PlayerSkills PlayerSkills, right now, has an attribute that Skills don't normally have: a level. The models look something like this (edited for conciseness): class PlayerSkill < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :character belongs_to :skill end class Skill < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :player_skills has_many :characters, :through => :player_skills attr_accessible :name, :description end class Character < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :user has_many :player_skills has_many :skills, :through => :player_skills end So nothing too fancy in the models... The controller is also very basic at this point... it's pretty much a stock update action. The form I'm looking to modify is characters#edit. Right now it renders a series of checkboxes which add/remove skills from the characters. This is great, but the whole point of using has_many :through was to track a "level" as well. Here is what I have so far: - form_for @character do |f| = f.error_messages %p = f.label :name %br = f.text_field :name %p = f.label :race %br = f.text_field :race %p = f.label :char_class %br = f.text_field :char_class %p - @skills.each do |skill| = check_box_tag "character[skill_ids][]", skill.id, @character.skills.include?(skill) =h skill.name %br %p = f.submit After it renders "skill.name", I need it to print a text_field that updates player_skill. The problem, of course, is that player_skill may or may not exist! (Depending on if the box was already ticked when you loaded the form!) From everything I've read, has_many :through is great because it allows you to treat the relationship itself as an entity... but I'm completely at a loss as to how to handle the entity in this form. • Jboss logging issue

  I'm Working as deployer and server administrator. We use Jboss 4.0x AS to deploy our applications. The issue I'm facing is, Whenever we redeploy/restart the server, server.log is getting created but after sometime the logging goes off. Yes it is not at all updating the server.log file. Due to this, we could not trace the other critical issues we have. Actually we have two separate nodes and we do deploy/restarting the server separately on two nodes. We are facing the issue in both of our test and production environment. I could not trace out where exactly the issue is. Could you please help me in resolving the issue? If we have any other issues, we can check the log files. If log itself is not getting updated/logged, how can we move further in analyzing the issues without the recent/updated logs? • csc.exe not found error

  I have installed a fresh copy of windows xp 2002 with SP2, and then VS.net 2008 enterprise edition. I am trying to build a simplest possible web application, and its not compiling giving error csc.exe not found.   I'm trying to get a list of stored procedures in t-sql. I am using the line: exec sys.sp_stored_procedures; I would like to filter the results back though, so I only get user created stored procedures. I would like to filter out sp_*, dt_*, fn_*, xp_* and everything else that is a system stored procedure and no interest to me. How can I manipulate the result set returned?   Hello, I've usually have difficulties with return types when it comes to linq. I'll explain by the following examples. Let's say I have a Table Products with ProductID, Name, Category, and Price as columns : 1) IQueryable<Product public IQueryable<Product> GetChildrenProducts() { return (from pd in db.Products where pd.Category == "Children" select pd); } 2) Product public Product GetProduct(int id) { return (from pd in db.Products where pd.ProductID == id select pd).FirstOrDefault(); } Now, if I decide to select, for instance, only one column (Price or Name) or even 2 or 3 columns (Name and Price), but in any case, less than the 4 columns, what's going to be the return type? • LINQ-to-SQL Query Timing Out

  I'm running this query in LINQ: var unalloc = db.slot_sp_getUnallocatedJobs("Repair", RadComboBox1.SelectedValue, 20); It runs when I first open the page, but when I go back to it and try to run the same query with a different value, "Con", being passed through, the linq to sql designer.cs tells me that I've got a timeout error. Any ideas? I recall once reading that in C, variables must be declared at the top of a function i.e. the following is invalid: void foo() { int good; if (...) { int bad; } } In the above code, is the declaraing of the bad varaible legal by C standards, or only legal due to a gcc extension? • TomTom integration does not work anymore?

  I did for 6 months back an integration for TomTom navigation with URL Scheme. This worked out great, but then TomTom updated their iPhone app to version 1.10. Since then the integration does not work. Anyone tried the same? • spring web application context is not loaded from jar file in WEB-INF/lib when running tomcat in eclipse

  I am experimenting with spring, maven, and eclipse but stumbling on a weird issue. I am running Eclipse Helios SR1 with the STS (Spring tools suite) plugin which includes the Maven plugin also. What i want to achieve is a spring mvc webapp which uses an application context loaded from a local application context xml file, but also from other application contexts in jar files dependencies included in WEB-INF/lib. What i'd ultimately like to do is have my persistence layer separated in its own jar file but containing its own spring context files with persistence specific configuration (e.g a jpa entityManagerFactory for example). So to experiment with loading resources from jar dependencies, i created a simple maven project from eclipse, which defines an applicationContext.xml file in src/main/resources Inside, i define a bean <bean id="mybean" class="org.test.MyClass" /> and create the class in the org.test package I run mvn-install from eclipse, which generates me a jar file containing my class and the applicationContext.xml file: testproj.jar |_META-INF |_org |_test |_MyClass.class |_applicationContext.xml I then create a spring mvc project from the Spring template projects provided by STS. I have configured an instance of Tomcat 7.0.8 , and also an instance of springSource tc Server within eclipse. Deploying the newly created project on both servers works without problem. I then add my previous project as a maven dependency of the mvc project. the jar file is correctly added in the Maven Dependencies of the project. In the web.xml that is generated, i now want to load the applicationContext.xml from the jar file as well as the existing one generated for the project. • Question about the Cloneable interface and the exception that should be thrown

  Hi, The Java documentation says: A class implements the Cloneable interface to indicate to the Object.clone() method that it is legal for that method to make a field-for-field copy of instances of that class. Invoking Object's clone method on an instance that does not implement the Cloneable interface results in the exception CloneNotSupportedException being thrown. By convention, classes that implement this interface should override Object.clone (which is protected) with a public method. See Object.clone() for details on overriding this method. Note that this interface does not contain the clone method. Therefore, it is not possible to clone an object merely by virtue of the fact that it implements this interface. Even if the clone method is invoked reflectively, there is no guarantee that it will succeed. And I have this UserProfile class: public class UserProfile implements Cloneable { private String name; private int ssn; private String address; public UserProfile(String name, int ssn, String address) { this.name = name; this.ssn = ssn; this.address = address; } public UserProfile(UserProfile user) { this.name = user.getName(); this.ssn = user.getSSN(); this.address = user.getAddress(); } // get methods here... @Override public UserProfile clone() { return new UserProfile(this); } } And for testing porpuses, I do this in main(): UserProfile up1 = new UserProfile("User", 123, "Street"); UserProfile up2 = up1.clone(); So far, no problems compiling/running. Now, per my understanding of the documentation, removing implements Cloneable from the UserProfile class should throw an exception in up1.clone() call, but it doesn't. I've read around here that the Cloneable interface is broken but I don't really know what that means. Am I missing something?
