Preferably, this tool should be free/open-source and run on Linux as well as on Windows, but this is not a must. Could you recommend?

I know the synatax and understand the idea behind traits, like horizontal code re-usage for common stuff like logging, security, caching etc. However, I still dont know yet how I would make use of traits in my projects. Are there any open source projects that already use traits? Any good articles/reading material on how to structure architectures using traits?

Can I avoid using one script manager ?     Hi, i'm trying to include a number of images in my SWF file not by loading them but by embedding them in the SWF itself. I found the following instruction to do that: [Embed(source="../graphics/images/ss0.png")] private var SS0:Class; Basically, i want to embed a different number of images each time. Is there a way to do that automatically (let's say inside a for loop) or do i have to type manually this instruction for each image i want to include?

  • How do I correlate build configurations in dependant vcproj files with different names?

    I have a solution file that requires a third party library (open source). The containing solution uses the typical configuration names of "Debug" and "release". The 3rd party one has debug and release configs for both DLL and static libs - their names are not "Debug" and "Release". How do I tell the solution to build the dependency first and how do I correlate which config to the dependant config? i.e. MyProject:Debug should build either 3rdParty:debug_shared or 3rdParty:debug_static

  • Scala unsatisfiable cyclic dependency in "table-layout" library (Toolkit class)

    When I try to compile with sbt some code containing an instance of a Table from this library I get this error: java.lang.AssertionError: assertion failed: unsatisfiable cyclic dependency in 'class Toolkit' It seems to work with Java so I don't understand why it fails in Scala. Here is the toolkit class: http://code.google.com/p/table-layout/source/browse/branches/v1/tablelayout/src/com/esotericsoftware/tablelayout/Toolkit.java As long as I get this error I'm totally stopped in my project :(.

  • Why do toast notifications die if delayed?

    I'm not sure this is the exact cause of my problem but I'll explain the 2 symptoms I noticed: If I put a break point on a Toast.makeText(..).show(), step over, then wait a few seconds before running, the toast will never appear. I have a location callback that tries to show a toast, but it never appears. Maybe I'm doing something else wrong, this is the line in question in my open source distress signal app. Any help or pointers would be appreciated, --uber

    Hello all, I have a JavaScript variable that I echo out using PHP which is shown like this in the page source: var db_1 = 'C:\this\path'; When I set the value of a text field with that variable like so: $('#myinput').val(db_1); The slashes have disappeared and only the other characters are left! Why is this and how can I put the slashes back in?? Thanks all
