  • Publish Maven artifacts on FTP with Hudson FTP Publisher Plugin

    I'm building a number of artefacts (zip files for different environments: test, dev) using the maven-assembly-plugin using a specialized Maven profile. These artefacts I want to copy/collect on on a FTP server keeping the version (01.07.10.16.Wed-1626) as a folder, so I need to copy from test/build/01.07.10.16.Wed-1626/ to ftp://my-ftp-server:21/projects/myserver-1.7/01.07.10.16.Wed-1626/ The layout for the Maven output is this: target/ build/ 01.07.10.16.Wed-1626/ my-server-01.07.10.16.Wed-1626-dev.zip my-server-01.07.10.16.Wed-1626-test.zip For copying the artefacts I'm using FTP Publisher Plugin but it seams I miss something since that even the build is OK and the artefacts are build without problem but the job is finishing without copying the artefacts, and in the console there is no log info about copying the artefacts My FTP publisher config (FTP repository hosts) is: Hostname: my-ftp-server Port: 21 Timeout: 10000 Root Repository Path: projects User Name: my-user Password: my-pass My Hudson job FTP publisher config (Publish artifacts to FTP) is: FTP site: my-ftp-server Files to upload Source: target/build/** Destination: myserver-1.7 1: There is any log to check if there are any FTP copy errors ? 2: There is any problem with the file pattern (source) or with the dest ?

    I need to have a makefile work under DOS (Windows) and Cygwin. I having problems with the makefile detecting the OS correctly and setting appropriate variables. The objective is to set variables for the following commands, then invoke the commands in rules using the variables: Delete file: rm in Cygwin, del in DOS. Remove directory: rmdir (different parameters in Cygwin and DOS) Copy file: cp in Cygwin, copy in DOS. Testing for file existance: test in Cygwin, IF EXIST in DOS. Listing contents of a file: cat in Cygwin, type in DOS. Here is my attempt, which always uses the else clause: OS_KIND = $(OSTYPE) #OSTYPE is an environment variable set by Cygwin. ifeq ($(OS_KIND), cygwin) ENV_OS = Cygwin RM = rm -f RMDIR = rmdir -r CP = cp REN = mv IF_EXIST = test -a IF_NOT_EXIST = ! test -a LIST_FILE = cat else ENV_OS = Win_Cmd RM = del -f -Q RMDIR = rmdir /S /Q IF_EXIST = if exist IF_NOT_EXIST = if not exist LIST_FILE = type endif I'm using the forward slash character, '/', as a directory separator. This is a problem with the DOS command, as it is interpreting it as program argument rather than a separator. Anybody know how to resolve this issue? Edit: I am using make with Mingw in both Windows Console (DOS) and Cygwin.

    Hi, I'm new to WPF and I have some difficulties when I'm trying to populate a ListView with a list of custom objects. internal class ApplicationCode { public int Code { get; set; } public IEnumerable<string> InstrumentCodes { get; set; } } I have a list of ApplicationCode which I set to ItemsSource to a ListView. I need to display the ApplicationCode.Code as a string and for the rest of the columns a check box which can be checked/unchecked depending if the column name is contained in the InstrumentCodes collection. In order to set the check box I use a converter on databinding: <DataTemplate x:Key="InstrumentCodeTemplate"> <CheckBox IsEnabled="False" IsChecked="{Binding Mode=OneTime, Converter={StaticResource InstrumentSelectionConverter}}" /> </DataTemplate> The problem I have is because I can't know which is the current column at the time of cell data binding and I can't set the ConverterParameter. public object Convert(object value, Type targetType, object parameter, CultureInfo culture) { ApplicationCode appCode = value as ApplicationCode; return appCode != null && appCode.InstrumentCodes.Contains(parameter.ToString()); } There is a way to find out the column index or name?   • Changing FileNames using RegEx and Recursion

    Hello I'm trying to rename files that my program lists as having "illegal characters" for a SharePoint file importation. The illegal characters I am referring to are: ~ # % & * {} / \ | : < ? - "" What i'm trying to do is recurse through the drive, gather up a list of filenames and then through Regular Expressions, pick out file names from a List and try to replace the invalid characters in the actual filenames themselves. Anybody have any idea how to do this?   • uiscrollview not switching image subviews

    I'm building a comic viewer app, that consists of two view controllers, the root viewcontroller basically displays a view where a user decides what comic they want to read by pressing a button. The second viewController actually displays the comic as a uiscrollview with a toolbar and a title at the top. So the problem I am having is that the comic image panels themselves are not changing from whatever the first comic you go to if you select another comic after viewing the first one. The way I set it up, and I admit it's not exactly mvc, so please don't hate, anyway the way I set it up is each comic uiscrollview consists of x number of jpg images where each comic set's image names have a common prefix and then a number like 'funny1.jpg', 'funny2.jpg', 'funny3.jpg' and 'soda1.jpg', 'soda2.jpg', 'soda3.jpg', etc... so when a user selects a comic to view in the root controller it makes a call to the delegate and sets ivars on instances of the comicviewcontroller that belongs to the delegate (mainDelegate.comicViewController.property) I set the number of panels in that comic, the comic name for the title label, and the image prefix. The number of images changes(or at least the number that you can scroll through), and the title changes but for some reason the images are the same ones as whatever comic you clicked on initially. I'm basing this whole app off of the 'scrolling' code sample from apple. I thought if I added a viewWillAppear:(BOOL) animated call to the comicViewController everytime the user clicked the button that would fix it but it didn't, after all that is where the scrollview is laid out.   • express+jade: provided local variable is undefined in view (node.js + express + jade)

    Hello. I'm implementing a webapp using node.js and express, using the jade template engine. Templates render fine, and can access helpers and dynamic helpers, but not local variables other than the "body" local variable, which is provided by express and is available and defined in my layout.jade. This is some of the code: app.set ('view engine', 'jade'); app.get ("/test", function (req, res) { res.render ('test', { locals: { name: "jake" } }); }); and this is test.jade: p hello =name when I remove the second line (referencing name), the template renders correctly, showing the word "hello" in the web page. When I include the =name, it throws a ReferenceError: 500 ReferenceError: Jade:2 NaN. 'p hello' NaN. '=name' name is not defined NaN. 'p hello' NaN. '=name' I believe I'm following the jade and express examples exactly with respect to local variables. Am I doing something wrong, or could this be a bug in express or jade?

It looks like the warning is getting printed but not captured or noticed by doctest. I'm guessing that this is because warnings are printed to sys.stderr instead of sys.stdout. But this happens even when I say sys.stderr = sys.stdout at the end of my module. So is there any way to use doctests to test for warnings? I can find no mention of this one way or the other in the documentation or in my Google searching.

Am I missing something?

  • Zend: How to authenticate using OpenId on local server.

    I am using zend framework. Now I want to authenticate users with other already registered accounts using RPX. I am following the 3 steps as described at RPX site: 1- Get the Widget 2- Receive Tokens 3- Choose Providers I created a controller(person) and action(signin) to show widget and my own signin form. I want to redirect to http://test.dev/#person/personsignin after authentication and want to set session in isPost() condition of personsigninAction() (described above). For now I consider indexAction to be called when outside authentication is done. Now I posted the code from http://gist.github.com/291396 in indexAction to follow step 3 mentioned above. But it is giving me following error: An error occured: Invalid parameter: apiKey Am I using the right way to use this. This is my very first attempt to this stuff. Can someone tell me the exact steps using my above actions? Thanks.

    Hi everyone, here's my very simple question: merge() only takes two data frames as input. I need to merge a series of data frames from a list, using the same keys for every merge operation. Given a list named "test", I want to do something like: do.call("merge", test). I could write some kind of loop, but I'm wondering if there's a standard or built-in way to do this more efficiently. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!   • Setting a cookie before Javascript Redirection

    Hello, I have a Rails app where I set a set a session variable the moment a user lands on my site with the referer and the page they hit. Additionally, I have Google Optimizer sending traffic from my homepage to various landing pages. The problem is that I think Google Optimizer is sending users away before the cookie is set. Is that even possible? I believe that the cookie is set from the HTTP Header, which must have fully loaded before Google's Javascript has even loaded. Thanks, Jason

    I'm building a web service which uses MessageContracts, because I want to add custom fields to my SOAP header. In a previous topic, I learned that a composite response has to be wrapped. For this purpose, I devised a generic ResponseWrapper class. The problem is that a hash is added to the end of ServiceResultOfHCCertificateRequestzSOTD_SSj. How do I need define my generic return types in order for the client type to be generated as expected (without the hash)?

    I just started using a PHP framework, Kohana (V2.3.4) and I am trying to set up a config file for each of my controllers. I never used a framework before, so obviously Kohana is new to me. I was wondering how I should set up my controllers to read my config file. For example, I have an article controller and a config file for that controller.   • Qt QFileDialog - native dialogs only with static functions?

    I'm trying to simply save a file. However, I need a filename entered without a suffix to automatically get a default suffix (which setDefaultSuffix() does). I'd rather not completely lose the native save dialog just for this. exec() is not overloaded from QDialog, so it totally bypasses the native hook (ignoring the DontUseNativeDialog option even if it's false). If I disable the file overwrite warning and append the default suffix myself after the function returns, then I'd be re-opening the dialog if the user did not want to overwrite... and that's just ugly. Is there some signal I can catch and quickly inject the default suffix if it's not there? I'm guessing not, since it's a native dialog. Is there something I'm doing wrong with the filter? I only have one filter choice. It should use that extension. This seems pretty lame. Launching the save dialog and simply typing "test" should never result in an extensionless file. "test.", yes. "test" no way. That'll really confuse the users when they hit Load and can't see the file they just saved. I guess the cross-platform part of Qt is giving me lowest common denominator file dialog functionality?

  • pylons on production server fedora 8

    I'm interested in learning some python, and thought Pylons would be a good starting point (after spending 2 days trying to get django working -- to no avail). I have an Amazon EC2 instance with Fedora 8 on it. It is a bare-bones install. I am halfway through my second day of trying to get it to work. I have mod_wsgi installed. I have Apache (though that's a later task to tackle). I have easy_install, paster is working fine; basically all of the pre-requisites mentioned throughout the Pylons docs. I can't for the life of me get the thing to work. And I can't seem to find a coherent walkthough anywhere that lists all the steps necessary. There is tons of info out there, but it is all scattered. Wsgi this, python that. Google, google, google... "47 million results found for 'socket.error:(lol, 'Yous a goofs')". So, this is my latest attempt: apachectl -k stop cd /home/ paster create -t pylons test [blah blah.. ok] cd test nano development.ini [hmm, last time I changed the host from 127.0.0.1 to my domain name or url, it threw an error like socket.error: (99, 'Cannot assign requested address')... I'll just leave it] [open port 5000 on firewall] paster serve development.ini [firefox-url:5000] Firefox can't establish a connection to the server Doing these steps locally works as expected. This is just a test to see if I can get it to work at all, which I can't. If I get it to work, then is the task of getting it to work with apache. My madness is that I'd like to play around a little developing and deploying before diving into a full-fledged project. So far: self, I am dissapoint.

  • IIS 6 forces AppRoot/Starting Point to upper case when Virtual Directory is imported from a file

    I have searched the web for this and couldn't find anything (well one remotely relevant post), so here I am. We have multiple ASP.NET apps in IIS 6 using Forms Authentication with dedicated path for each app. Since path is case sensitive it must match URL's path section exactly. However, because of an incorrect casing in IIS 6 Metabase for AppRoot (or Starting Point in IIS UI) bowser doesn't send Form cookie to the server whenever URL is previously resolved on the server and sent to client in incorrect case. Example: App URL = "https://Test.net/Application1" Cookie path = /Application1 Metabase AppRoot = /LM/W3SVC/1393818691/ROOT/APPLICATIONPATH1 Resolved URL = "https://Test.net/APPLICATIONPATH1" Now to the root cause... We create virtual directories on test server manually in a specific case (matches Path for each application). We then export virtual directory using UI to an XML file, which is then imported to another server (let's say production), at which point IIS decides to uppercase AppRoot element of the metabase. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is there a setting on IIS I am not aware of? I am trying to avoid manual edit of metabase after the import. Is that a bug?

  • How to represent different entities that have identical behavior?

    I have several different entities in my domain model (animal species, let's say), which have a few properties each. The entities are readonly (they do not change state during the application lifetime) and they have identical behavior (the differ only by the values of properties). How to implement such entities in code? Unsuccessful attempts: Enums I tried an enum like this: enum Animals { Frog, Duck, Otter, Fish } And other pieces of code would switch on the enum. However, this leads to ugly switching code, scattering the logic around and problems with comboboxes. There's no pretty way to list all possible Animals. Serialization works great though. Subclasses I also thought about where each animal type is a subclass of a common base abstract class. The implementation of Swim() is the same for all Animals, though, so it makes little sense and serializability is a big issue now. Since we represent an animal type (species, if you will), there should be one instance of the subclass per application, which is hard and weird to maintain when we use serialization. public abstract class AnimalBase { string Name { get; set; } // user-readable double Weight { get; set; } Habitat Habitat { get; set; } public void Swim(); { /* swim implementation; the same for all animals but depends uses the value of Weight */ } } public class Otter: AnimalBase{ public Otter() { Name = "Otter"; Weight = 10; Habitat = "North America"; } } // ... and so on Just plain awful. Static fields This blog post gave me and idea for a solution where each option is a statically defined field inside the type, like this: public class Animal { public static readonly Animal Otter = new Animal { Name="Otter", Weight = 10, Habitat = "North America"} // the rest of the animals... public string Name { get; set; } // user-readable public double Weight { get; set; } public Habitat Habitat { get; set; } public void Swim(); } That would be great: you can use it like enums (AnimalType = Animal.Otter), you can easily add a static list of all defined animals, you have a sensible place where to implement Swim(). Immutability can be achieved by making property setters protected. There is a major problem, though: it breaks serializability. A serialized Animal would have to save all its properties and upon deserialization it would create a new instance of Animal, which is something I'd like to avoid. Is there an easy way to make the third attempt work? Any more suggestions for implementing such a model?

    I am trying to set a value through reflection. I created this little test program struct headerIndexes { public int AccountNum{ get; set; } public int other { get; set; } public int items { get; set; } } static void Main(string[] args) { headerIndexes headers = new headerIndexes(); headers.AccountNum = 1; Console.WriteLine("Old val: {0}", headers.AccountNum); foreach (var s in headers.GetType().GetProperties()) { if (s.Name == "AccountNum") s.SetValue(headers, 99, null); } Console.WriteLine("New val: {0}", headers.AccountNum); Console.ReadKey(); } Steping thorugh the program i see it correctly does the command s.SetValue(headers, 99, null); however the value of headers.AccountNum stays at 1 when setValue is run. Am I missing a obvious step?
