  • C Question: How to store data inside the executable file

    Hello all, complete newbie here, I need to find a way to store 250 KB of plain text numbers inside my program's executable file. Usually, I would put the data in a separate file and let the program read it while it is running, but that's not an option here. Instead, the program and the data need to be in one executable file. I have absolutely no idea how to do it (except writing 250.000 #defines :-) and I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you very much!

  • Merge two data frames together that have the same variable names and data types

    I have tried the merge function to merge two csv files that I imported. They both have the same variable names and data types but each time I run merge all that I get is an object that contains the names of the two data frames. I have tried the following: # ex1 obj <- merge(obj1, obj2, by=obj) # ex2 obj <- merge(obj1, obj2, all) and several other iterations of the above. Is merge the correct function? If so, what am I doing wrong?

    Hi What are the possible ways of representing data in memory in .Net (or in general)? It would be great if data could be sorted and looked up by key (or multiple keys).     I have just purchased a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 motherboard, and it has dual Realtek RTL8111D gigabit LAN ports. I also have an Intel PRO/1000 MT PCI gigabit network card lying around from an old desktop. I've heard that Intel PCI-E network cards will often outperform Realtek, Marvell, or other non-Intel on-board network adapters, but my question is will the PRO/1000 MT PCI card outperform a single Realtek RTL8111D gigabit network adapter in terms of transfer speed, or should I keep what I have/buy a PCI-E Intel network adapter?

  • transfer itunes iphone backup from a PC to MAC

    I upgraded my phone to iOS 4 GM on my mac using itunes 9.2 beta for mac. I have a backup of my contacts on my windows machine with itunes 9.1.1 which won't talk to iOS 4. There is no itunes 9.2 for windows yet. Is there any way I can transfer the backup from my windows pc to my mac so i can restore my settings and contacts?

    I have a wifi router which was attached with my modem, and the pc was connected to the wifi router through an ethernet cable. Yesterday I moved my modem and router to another room and connected my PC with wifi through an external wifi usb dongle (tp-link tl-w722n). I noticed that the file transfer speed from my cell to PC via wifi is greatly affected. I am not clear why is this happening because although PC is now connected through wifi but the dongle supports more than 54Mbps which is still enough.
