• How to convert a MSSQL database (including procedures, functions and triggers) to a firebird databas

  I am considering migrating to Firebird. To have a "quick start" approach I downloaded the trial of a conversion tool (DBConvert) and tried it. I just picked up a random tool, this tool doesn't convert procedures, functions and triggers (I don't think it is a limit of the trial since there is not an explicit reference to sp, sf and triggers in the link above). Anyway by trying that tool I had the message: "The DB cannot be converted succesfully because some FK names are too long." This is because in some tables I have FK whose description is 32 chars. Is this a real firebird limit or it is possible to overcome it somehow (of course renaming the FK is an extreme option because it is extra work)? Anyway how to convert a MS SQL DB fully to FIREBIRD? Is there a valid tool? Did someone succed in a conversion of non trivial databases?

• How can I type cast EventArgs to have a .point property in c#? [closed]

  I'm working with a double click function in c#. the function takes an object and EventArgs as it's parameters: private void gvHL7_DoubleClick(object sender, EventArgs e){ . . . } However, I want to use the .Point property, and EventArgs doesn't have that property. I know that DevExpress.XtraGrid.Views.Grid.GridMenuEventArgs does, but it's saying that's an invalid casting. What type should I cast my EventArgs instance to if I wish to access the .Point property? Edit: The double click function I'm working with is provided by devexpress for their grids.

• Content pulled in via jQuery AJAX is not associating with previous functions

  I'm using the jquery .load() function to pull in data to populate a div with. The content I'm pulling in has CSS selectors that should match up with jQuery click functions I've written. However, when I load in the data, although the correct CSS selectors are there, when I click on areas that should invoke a response from jQuery, nothing happens. Do I need to do some sort of reload?   Hi all, I having trouble with passing http get parameters to jsf 2.0 backing bean. User will invoke URl with some params containing id of some entity, which is later used to persist some other entity in db. whole process can be summarized by fallowing: 1. user open page http://www.somhost.com/JsfApp/step-one.xhtml?sid=1 2. user fills some data and goes to next page 3. user fills some more data and then entity is saved to db with sid param from step one. I have session scoped backing bean that hold data from all the pages (steps), but I cant pass param to bean property.. any ideas?

  I am using a datagridview on a win app designed in c#2010 express. In the _row leave event of my datagrid I would like to use the TableAdapter.usp_insert() that I created. But how does one match up the data in the cells of the datagridview row to the parameters in the stored procedure. Thanks in advance I appreciate the education. This is what if found so far! • How to reset Scrapy parameters? (always running under same parameters)

  I've been running my Scrapy project with a couple of accounts (the project scrapes a especific site that requieres login credentials), but no matter the parameters I set, it always runs with the same ones (same credentials). I'm running under virtualenv. Is there a variable or setting I'm missing? Edit: It seems that this problem is Twisted related. Even when I run: scrapy crawl -a user='user' -a password='pass' -o items.json -t json SpiderName I still get an error saying: ERROR: twisted.internet.error.ReactorNotRestartable And all the information I get, is the last 'succesful' run of the spider.

  I am working in .Net 3.5, looking at all the various constructors for Activator.CreateInstance. I want to create an instance of a class, calling a particular constructor. I do not have the class type, only its name. I have the following, which works, but actually winds up calling the parameterless constructor first, then the one I want. This is not a terribly big deal, but the parameterless constructor calls a rather busy base constructor, and the constructor I want to call does, too. In other words, given a type, calling CreateInstance with parameters is easy (only the last two lines below), but given only a type name, is there a better way than this?   As you might know, it's now possible to trace Erlang functions by using the short form: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, x). Instead of the usual: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, dbg:fun2ms(fun(_) -> exception_trace() end)). I'm actually wondering if a similar short form is available for return_trace(). Something like: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, r). Instead of: dbg:tpl(Module, Function, dbg:fun2ms(fun(_) -> return_trace() end)). The source code in the dbg module seems to suggest not: new_pattern_table() -> PT = ets:new(dbg_tab, [ordered_set, public]), ets:insert(PT, {x, term_to_binary([{'_',[],[{exception_trace}]}])}), ets:insert(PT, {exception_trace, term_to_binary(x)}), PT. But I might be wrong. Do you know of any?

• Using the mpz_powm functions from the GMP/MPIR libraries with negative exponents

  Please consider the following code: mpz_t x, n, out; mpz_init_set_ui(x, 2UL); mpz_init_set_ui(n, 7UL); mpz_init(out); mpz_invert(out, x, n); gmp_printf ("%Zd\n", out);//prints 4. 2 * 4 (mod 7) = 1. OK mpz_powm_ui(out, x, -1UL, n);//prints 1. 2 * 1 (mod 7) = 2. How come? gmp_printf ("%Zd\n", out); mpz_clear(x); mpz_clear(n); mpz_clear(out); I am unable to understand how the mpz_powm functions handle negative exponents, although, according to the documentation, it is supposed to support them. I would expect that raising a number to -1 modulo n is equivalent to inverting it modulo n. What am I missing here?

  I have a report (Reporting Services) integrated into an ASP.NET that shows dropdownlists to select report parameter values. The dropdownlists are populated using direct database selects, though I see the report RDL files do contain the paramter values and datasets as defined in the report designer. Is it possible to obtain the report parameters "available values" in ASP.NET to populate the dropdownlists? This would avoid some code duplication. Update If the parameter doesn't use a query for available values, the following works: foreach (ValidValue value in this.ReportViewerControl.ServerReport.GetParameters()["myParameter"].ValidValues) { this.DropDownListControl.Items.Add(new ListItem(value.Label, value.Value)); } Still haven't found a way to access report datasets though...

This is a follow-up question: If the computation takes too long I'd like to be able to abort it using Evaluation Abort Evaluation. Which of the technologies suggested in the answers make it possible to have an interruptible C-based extension function? How can "interruptibility" be implemented on the C side? I need to make my function interruptible in a way which will corrupt neither it, nor the Mathematica kernel (i.e. it should be possible to call the function again from Mathematica after it has been interrupted)

  Allot of my use of hibernate, at least for that data that is presented on many parts of the web application, is for read-only purposes. I want to add some parameters to my Dao methods so I can modify the way hibernate pulls the data and how it handles transactions etc. Example usage: Data on the front page of my website is displayed to the users, it is read-only, so I want to avoid any session/entity tracking that hibernate usually does. This is data that is read-only, will not be changed in this transaction, etc. What would be the most performant way to pull the data?   A little-used feature of C++ is the ability to create anonymous namespaces, like so: namespace { int cannotAccessOutsideThisFile() { ... } } // namespace You would think that such a feature would be useless -- since you can't specify the name of the namespace, it's impossible to access anything within it from outside. But these unnamed namespaces are accessible within the file they're created in, as if you had an implicit using-clause to them. My question is, why or when would this be preferable to using static functions? Or are they essentially two ways of doing the exact same thing?

• Pass Alot of Parameters on a Form to Action Struts2

  I have been working on migrating a web application from Struts1 to Struts2. I have a simple Form with around 45 Fields (basically a grid with data). I have to capture all those in Struts2 Action.I noticed that in struts2 we have OGNL through which we just write getters setters in action itself by declaring fields locally to get those variables flowing in the request. I cannot write 45 getters/setters in my action, there must be a way to pass whole object(a POJO) from jsp to Action layer. In Struts 1, we normally get a ActionForm Object and/or get request parameters in a map and then populate. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

• valgrind - ignore glibc functions?

  Is it possible to tell valgrind to ignore some set of libraries? Specifically glibc libraries.. Actual Problem: I have some code that runs fine in normal execution. No leaks etc. When I try to run it through valgrind, I get core dumps and program restarts/stops. Core usually points to glibc functions (usually fseek, mutex etc). I understand that there might be some issue with incompatible glibc / valgrind version. I tried various valgrind releases and glibc versions but no luck. Any suggestions?
