  Comment pointed out that this may fix my problem, and it did: Why don't mails show up in the recipient's mailspool? I use Postfix with Dovecot, and when I send an email from my gmail to my server, it is received at the server, but not at my email client using POP3. I can verify it being received at the server using the mail command. • Awesome WM: Goodbye UI

  Sometimes some of my UI's disappear, but the processes they belong to lives on. So far it has happened to gnome-terminal, emacs, eclipse and evince. I've only experienced this behavior with the Awesome Window Manager. Any ideas how to fix it? Update: It has also happened to a popped out Gmail chat window . When I close the main Gmail window, it warns me that the invisible chat window will also be closed.

• How put both sent messages and received messages in an archive folder in Mail.app?

  I have an archive folder that contains all messages I ever received on my mail account. The mail account is not a Gmail account. One thing I love about Gmail is that the threaded view not only shows messages I received but also messages I sent. The only piece missing in this puzzle is the possibility for Mail.app to store a copy of all sent messages in my archive folder or to otherwise combine these two folders. Is this possible?

  I have just installed POSTFIX on a Debian box, I pointed the relay host config setting to an exchange server which will deliver the mail to external users. So what I am trying to do is telnet to the debian box and send an email to [email protected] which will then be past to the exchange server for delivery. The problem is I get the following: rcpt to:[email protected] 554 relay access denied I have seen a section in the config "mydestination" but i want the exchange server to decide which domains it will deliver for and not the POSTFIX server.

  I would like to forward mail that gets sent root@localhost on multiple servers to our company admin account (e-mail is hosted on gmail) I have installed ssmtp on centos 5.5 via yum and configured it. i've also changed the last line in /etc/aliases to reflect where mail to root should go to. I've then tried sending mail to root - this gets delivered without a problem (mail -v root) I've also tried sending mail to root@localhost - this is not delivered to the specified gmail account.

  I have a dozen forwarders sending into a gmail account, I have outlook setup using imap but when I reply I don't want it sending from the Gmail address, instead I want it to come from one of the addresses it was forwarded to. I know I can set the from address manually by accessing the email's options when writing a new email, but this is going to be forgotten by the users and they are bound to mess it up, I need a way that I can send as some of the forwarded addresses automatically, any ideas?

• Blackberry Menu from native blackberry application

  I have an application that inserts an ApplicationMenuItem into the native blackberry contacts menu. I can get this to work just fine. Now my question is how would I change or remove that ApplicationMenuItem based on the contact that i am highlighted on? Would I need to use a GlobalEventListener? I assume overriding makeMenu can only be done for menus on my own screens and not the native contacts screen?

Since I live in Idaho where an area code is not needed for in-state calls, many of my contacts were saved without an area code. • ProgressDialog does not display until after AsyncTask completes

  I am trying to display an indefinite ProgressDialog, while an AsyncTask binds to a RemoteService. The RemoteService builds a list of the users contacts when the service is first created. For a long list of contacts this may take 5~10 seconds. The problem I am having, is that the ProgressDialog does not display until after the RemoteService has built it's list of contacts. I even tried putting a Thread.sleep in to give the ProgressDialog time to show up. With the sleep statement the ProgressDialog loads and starts spinning, but then locks up as soon as the RemoteService starts doing it's work. If I just turn the AsyncTask into dummy code, and just let it sleep for a while, everything works fine. But when the task has to do actual work, it is like the UI just sits and waits.   I found that with code/function I can change the contacts ringtone, but I couldn't find how to use it. Can someone help me, How do I do it? context.getContentResolver().update(contactUri, values, where, args); ContactsContract.Contacts.CUSTOM_RINGTONE One more question. when I call from one android simulator to another I don't hear the ringing sound, what could be the problem?

• Retrieve Google Calendar Events

  Hi, I'm using the Java API for Google Calendar. The documents show the following example of how to retrieve events from a calendar: URL feedUrl = new URL("http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/[email protected]/private/full"); CalendarService myService = new CalendarService("exampleCo-exampleApp-1"); myService.setUserCredentials("[email protected]", "mypassword"); // Send the request and receive the response: CalendarEventFeed myFeed = myService.getFeed(feedUrl, CalendarEventFeed.class); This will retrieve all events from the primary calendar of the [email protected] account. However, I need to retrieve events from a secondary calendar. I already have a reference the CalendarEntry object that represents the secondary calendar, but I still can't figure out how to get events from it. I suspect I can do this using the same code as above, but I just need to change the URL to something else. Thanks, Donal
