  • How to Force Graphics Options in PC Games with NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel Graphics

    - by Chris Hoffman
PC games usually have built-in graphics options you can change. But you’re not limited to the options built into games — the graphics control panels bundled with graphics drivers allow you to tweak options from outside PC games. For example, these tools allow you to force-enabling antialiasing to make old games look better, even if they don’t normally support it. You can also reduce graphics quality to get more performance on slow hardware. If You Don’t See These Options If you don’t have the NVIDIA Control Panel, AMD Catalyst Control Center, or Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel installed, you may need to install the appropriate graphics driver package for your hardware from the hardware manufacturer’s website. The drivers provided via Windows Update don’t include additional software like the NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Catalyst Control Center. Drivers provided via Windows Update are also more out of date. If you’re playing PC games, you’ll want to have the latest graphics drivers installed on your system. NVIDIA Control Panel The NVIDIA Control Panel allows you to change these options if your computer has NVIDIA graphics hardware. To launch it, right-click your desktop background and select NVIDIA Control Panel. You can also find this tool by performing a Start menu (or Start screen) search for NVIDIA Control Panel or by right-clicking the NVIDIA icon in your system tray and selecting Open NVIDIA Control Panel. To quickly set a system-wide preference, you could use the Adjust image settings with preview option. For example, if you have old hardware that struggles to play the games you want to play, you may want to select “Use my preference emphasizing” and move the slider all the way to “Performance.” This trades graphics quality for an increased frame rate. By default, the “Use the advanced 3D image settings” option is selected. You can select Manage 3D settings and change advanced settings for all programs on your computer or just for specific games. NVIDIA keeps a database of the optimal settings for various games, but you’re free to tweak individual settings here. Just mouse-over an option for an explanation of what it does. If you have a laptop with NVIDIA Optimus technology — that is, both NVIDIA and Intel graphics — this is the same place you can choose which applications will use the NVIDIA hardware and which will use the Intel hardware. AMD Catalyst Control Center AMD’s Catalyst Control Center allows you to change these options on AMD graphics hardware. To open it, right-click your desktop background and select Catalyst Control Center. You can also right-click the Catalyst icon in your system tray and select Catalyst Control Center or perform a Start menu (or Start screen) search for Catalyst Control Center. Click the Gaming category at the left side of the Catalyst Control Center window and select 3D Application Settings to access the graphics settings you can change. The System Settings tab allows you to configure these options globally, for all games. Mouse over any option to see an explanation of what it does. You can also set per-application 3D settings and tweak your settings on a per-game basis. Click the Add option and browse to a game’s .exe file to change its options. Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel Intel integrated graphics is nowhere near as powerful as dedicated graphics hardware from NVIDIA and AMD, but it’s improving and comes included with most computers. Intel doesn’t provide anywhere near as many options in its graphics control panel, but you can still tweak some common settings. To open the Intel graphics control panel, locate the Intel graphics icon in your system tray, right-click it, and select Graphics Properties. You can also right-click the desktop and select Graphics Properties. Select either Basic Mode or Advanced Mode. When the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel appears, select the 3D option. You’ll be able to set your Performance or Quality setting by moving the slider around or click the Custom Settings check box and customize your Anisotropic Filtering and Vertical Sync preference. Different Intel graphics hardware may have different options here. We also wouldn’t be surprised to see more advanced options appear in the future if Intel is serious about competing in the PC graphics market, as they say they are. These options are primarily useful to PC gamers, so don’t worry about them — or bother downloading updated graphics drivers — if you’re not a PC gamer and don’t use any intensive 3D applications on your computer. • Beginner Guide to User Styles for Firefox

    - by Asian Angel
While the default styles for most websites are nice there may be times when you would love to tweak how things look. See how easy it can be to change how websites look with the Stylish Extension for Firefox. Note: Scripts from Userstyles.org can also be added to Greasemonkey if you have it installed. Getting Started After installing the extension you will be presented with a first run page. You may want to keep it open so that you can browse directly to the Userstyles.org website using the link in the upper left corner. In the lower right corner you will have a new Status Bar Icon. If you have used Greasemonkey before this icon works a little differently. It will be faded out due to no user style scripts being active at the moment. You can use either a left or right click to access the Context Menu. The user style script management section is also added into your Add-ons Management Window instead of being separate. When you reach the user style scripts homepage you can choose to either learn more about the extension & scripts or… Start hunting for lots of user style script goodness. There will be three convenient categories to get you jump-started if you wish. You could also conduct a search if you have something specific in mind. Here is some information directly from the website provided for your benefit. Notice the reference to using these scripts with Greasemonkey… This section shows you how the scripts have been categorized and can give you a better idea of how to search for something more specific. Finding & Installing Scripts For our example we decided to look at the Updated Styles Section”first. Based on the page number listing at the bottom there are a lot of scripts available to look through. Time to refine our search a little bit… Using the drop-down menu we selected site styles and entered Yahoo in the search blank. Needless to say 5 pages was a lot easier to look through than 828. We decided to install the Yahoo! Result Number Script. When you do find a script (or scripts) that you like simply click on the Install with Stylish Button. A small window will pop up giving you the opportunity to preview, proceed with the installation, edit the code, or cancel the process. Note: In our example the Preview Function did not work but it may be something particular to the script or our browser’s settings. If you decide to do some quick editing the window shown above will switch over to this one. To return to the previous window and install the user style script click on the Switch to Install Button. After installing the user style the green section in the script’s webpage will actually change to this message… Opening up the Add-ons Manager Window shows our new script ready to go. The script worked perfectly when we conducted a search at Yahoo…the Status Bar Icon also changed from faded out to full color (another indicator that everything is running nicely). Conclusion If you prefer a custom look for your favorite websites then you can have a lot of fun experimenting with different user style scripts. • ADF version of "Modern" dialog windows

    - by Martin Deh
It is no surprise with the popularity of the i-devices (iphone, ipad), that many of the iOS UI based LnF (look and feel) would start to inspire web designers to incorporate the same LnF into their web sites.  Take for example, a normal dialog popup.  In the iOS world, the LnF becomes a bit more elegant by add just a simple element as a "floating" close button: In this blog post, I will describe how this can be accomplished using OOTB ADF components and CSS3 style elements. There are two ways that this can be achieved.  The easiest way is to simply replace the default image, which looks like this, and adjust the af|panelWindow:close-icon-style skin selector.   Using this simple technique, you can come up with this: The CSS code to produce this effect is pretty straight forward: af|panelWindow.test::close-icon-style{    background-image: url("../popClose.gif");    line-height: 10px;    position: absolute;    right: -10px;    top: -10px;    height:38px;    width:38px;    outline:none; } You can see from the CSS, the position of the region, which holds the image, is relocated based on the position based attributes.  Also, the addition of the "outline" attribute removes the border that is visible in Chrome and IE.  The second example, is based on not having an image to produce the close button.  Like the previous sample, I will use the OOTB panelWindow.  However, this time I will use a OOTB commandButton to replace the image.  The construct of the components looks like this: The commandButton is positioned first in the hierarchy making the re-positioning easier.  The commandButton will also need a style class assigned to it (i.e. closeButton), which will allow for the positioning and the over-riding of the default skin attributes of a default button.  In addition, the closeIconVisible property is set to false, since the default icon is no longer needed.  Once this is done, the rest is in the CSS.  Here is the sample that I created that was used for an actual customer POC: The CSS code for the button: af|commandButton.closeButton, af|commandButton.closeButton af|commandButton:text-only{     line-height: 10px;     position: absolute;     right: -10px;     top: -10px;     -webkit-border-radius: 70px;     -moz-border-radius: 70px;     -ms-border-radius: 70px;     border-radius: 70px;     background-image:none;     border:#828c95 1px solid;     background-color:black;     font-weight: bold;     text-align: center;     text-decoration: none;     color:white;     height:30px;     width:30px;     outline:none; } The CSS uses the border radius to create the round effect on the button (in IE 8, since border-radius is not supported, this will only work with some added code). Also, I add the box-shadow attribute to the panelWindow style class to give it a nice shadowing effect.

  • BizTalk 2009 - Custom Functoid Wizard

    - by StuartBrierley
When creating BizTalk maps you may find that there are times when you need perform tasks that the standard functoids do not cover.  At other times you may find yourself reapeating a pattern of standard functoids over and over again, adding visual complexity to an otherwise simple process.  In these cases you may find it preferable to create your own custom functoids.  In the past I have created a number of custom functoids from scratch, but recently I decided to try out the Custom Functoid Wizard for BizTalk 2009. After downloading and installing the wizard you should start Visual Studio and select to create a new BizTalk Server Functoid Project. Following the splash screen you will be presented with the General Properties screen, where you can set the classname, namespace, assembly name and strong name key file. The next screen is the first set of properties for the functoid.  First of all is the fuctoid ID; this must be a value above 6000. You should also then set the name, tooltip and description of the functoid.  The name will appear in the visual studio toolbox and the tooltip on hover over in the toolbox.  The descrition will be shown when you configure the functoid inputs when using it in a map; as such it should provide a decent level of information to allow the functoid to be used. Next you must set the category, exception mesage, icon and implementation language.  The category will affect the positioning of the functoid within the toolbox and also some of the behaviours of the functoid. We must then define the parameters and connections for our new functoid.  Here you can define the names and types of your input parameters along with the minimum and maximum number of input connections.  You will also need to define the types of connections accepted and the output type of the functoid. Finally you can click finish and your custom functoid project will be created. The results of this process can be seen in the solution explorer, where you will see that a project, functoid class file and a resource file have been created for you. If you open the class file you will see that the following code has been created for you: The "base" function sets all the properties that you previsouly detailed in the custom functoid wizard.  public TestFunctoids():base()  {    int functoidID;    // This has to be a number greater than 6000    functoidID = System.Convert.ToInt32(resmgr.GetString("FunctoidId"));    this.ID = functoidID;    // Set Resource strings, bitmaps    SetupResourceAssembly(ResourceName, Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly());    SetName("FunctoidName");                     SetTooltip("FunctoidToolTip");    SetDescription("FunctoidDescription");    SetBitmap("FunctoidBitmap");    // Minimum and maximum parameters that the functoid accepts    this.SetMinParams(2);    this.SetMaxParams(2);    /// Function name that needs to be called when this Functoid is invoked.    /// Put this in GAC.    SetExternalFunctionName(GetType().Assembly.FullName,     "MyCompany.BizTalk.Functoids.TestFuntoids.TestFunctoids", "Execute");    // Category for this functoid.    this.Category = FunctoidCategory.String;    // Input and output Connection type    this.OutputConnectionType = ConnectionType.AllExceptRecord;    AddInputConnectionType(ConnectionType.AllExceptRecord);   } The "Execute" function provides a skeleton function that contains the code to be executed by your new functoid.  The inputs and outputs should match those you defined in the Custom Functoid Wizard.   public System.Int32 Execute(System.Int32 Cool)   {    ResourceManager resmgr = new ResourceManager(ResourceName, Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly());    try    {     // TODO: Implement Functoid Logic    }    catch (Exception e)    {     throw new Exception(resmgr.GetString("FunctoidException"), e);    }   } Opening the resource file you will see some of the various string values that you defined in the Custom Functoid Wizard - Name, Tooltip, Description and Exception. You can also select to look at the image resources.  This will display the embedded icon image for the functoid.  To change this right click the icon and select "Import from File". Once you have completed the skeleton code you can then look at trying out your functoid. To do this you will need to build the project, copy the compiled DLL to C:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009\Developer Tools\Mapper Extensions and then refresh the toolbox in visual studio.

  • Silverlight and Unexpected Font Sizes

    - by Eric J.
Someone please teach me to fish here... I'm just learning Silverlight and have ran into a few situations where the font size actually used is drastically different than I would expect. There's probably something conceptual that I'm missing. Case A In one instance, I have defined a user control that presents a Label to show text. If one clicks on the label, the label (that is in a stack panel, in the user control) is replaced with a TextBox. When used at the top of a page (as in the example below with lblName) the label text is very small (around 8 points). When clicked on, the text box that replaces the label uses the specified fonts size. That same user control, used in different parts of the app, uses the same font for Label and TextBox. <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="White"> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="33" /> <RowDefinition Height="267*" /> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <StackPanel Height="Auto" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Name="stackPanel" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="Auto" Grid.Row="1" /> <my:EditLabel Height="33" HorizontalAlignment="Left" x:Name="lblName" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="Auto" FlexText="{Binding Name, Mode=TwoWay}" FontSize="20" MinHeight="24" /> </Grid> Case B I'm using the LiquidMenu.Menu control to pop up a menu when a button is pressed. The font looks huge compared to the rest of my page (maybe 36 points?). I tried forcing it to a very small by explicitly setting it to 8pt, but that had no effect. <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="{x:Null}"> <StackPanel x:Name="labelStackPanel" Orientation="Horizontal"> <TextBlock Height="24" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Name="labelText" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="200" Text="(Value Goes Here)" /> </StackPanel> <liquidMenu:Menu x:Name="popupMenu" Canvas.Left="40" Canvas.Top="40" ItemSelected="MenuList_ItemSelected" Visibility="Collapsed" Height="Auto" FontSize="8"> <liquidMenu:MenuItem ID="delete" Icon="Images/Delete10.png" Text="Delete" Shortcut="Del" /> <liquidMenu:MenuItem ID="exclusive" Icon="" Text="Exclusive" Shortcut="Ctrl+E" /> <liquidMenu:MenuItem ID="properties" Icon="" Text="Properties" Shortcut="Ctrl+P" /> </liquidMenu:Menu> </Grid> Answers to these specific issues are great, a new way to think about this type of issue so that I understand how to control font size is better.

  • jqGrid jQuery UI button wrapping in toolbar

    - by gurun8
I have a jQuery UI Button that I'm placing in a jqGrid toolbar but the contents of the button are wrapping. I've tried to prevent the wrapping by using CSS white-space Property to no avail. Here's a snapshot of what's happening: Here are two code snippets of my attempt to fix the problem: $("#t_imageList").css("white-space", "nowrap").html('<button>Add</button>'); $("#t_imageList button").button({ icons: {primary: 'ui-icon-plus'}, text: true }); and/or $("#t_imageList button").css("white-space", "nowrap").button({ icons: {primary: 'ui-icon-plus'}, text: true }); Has someone experienced the same issue? If so, what was your solution?

  • jQuery UI Tabs Plugin Broke

We are using the jquery ui tabs arrow plugin from this fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/dECtZ/282/, but like many plugins, it breaks with the latest version of jQuery. • JQUERY UI Accordion Resize on Window Resize?

    - by nobosh
I'm using the JQUERY UI Accordion module: <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { $("#sidebar_column_accordion").accordion({ fillSpace: true, icons: { 'header': 'ui-icon-plus', 'headerSelected': 'ui-icon-minus' } }); }); </script> By using the fillSpace option, the accordion takes up the entire height of the window which I want. Problem is it calculate the height on page load, and if the user resizes their browser, it does not adjust... Is there a way to have the accordion recalculate the height/size when the browser window is resized? Thanks

  • iphone google maps crosshair button

    - by xastor
I would like to use or emulate a button like the gps button in the bottom left corner of the standard maps application on the iphone OS. The button behaves like a toggle button where gps is enabled or disabled depending on whether it is pushed and it may hold a small spinner component while the gps is finding your position. Does anyone know if this component can be easily constructed using default components? If no, what would be the best way to develop such a component? Is the crosshair/target icon a generic icon that I can re-use?

  • jQuery UI Dialog Button Icons

    - by Cory Grimster
Is it possible to add icons to the buttons on a jQuery UI Dialog? I've tried doing it this way: $("#DeleteDialog").dialog({ resizable: false, height:150, modal: true, buttons: { 'Delete': function() { /* Do stuff */ $(this).dialog('close'); }, Cancel: function() { $(this).dialog('close'); } }, open: function() { $('.ui-dialog-buttonpane').find('button:contains("Cancel")').addClass('ui-icon-cancel'); $('.ui-dialog-buttonpane').find('button:contains("Delete")').addClass('ui-icon-trash'); } }); The selectors in the open function seem to be working fine. If I add the following to "open": $('.ui-dialog-buttonpane').find('button:contains("Delete")').css('color', 'red'); then I do get a Delete button with red text. That's not bad, but I'd really like that little trash can sprite on the Delete button as well.

  • Android: Make application background behave like homescreen background

    - by Mannaz
Hi, I have a big background image for my views's background, which also can be tiled (it's repeadable). When switching from one Activity to another i want the background to behave like on the homescreen (the background moves only a bit, but the foreground moves one screen with). Is this possible and how? Here is my current background definition: Manifest.xml: <application android:icon="@drawable/icon" android:label="@string/app_name" android:theme="@style/MyAppStyle"> styles.xml: <style name="MyAppStyle" parent="@android:style/Theme.NoTitleBar"> <item name="android:windowBackground">@drawable/window_background_descriptor</item> window_background_descriptor.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <bitmap xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:src="@drawable/window_background" android:tileMode="repeat" />

  • Suggestion for dragster/dropzone like dock menu

    - by Ger Teunis
I'd like to create a dragster/dropzone like dock menu. Looks a bit like a stack with a nsview in it. After a lot if documentation searching and googling I've found a way to determine a dock icon's location. (http://cocoadev.com/forums/comments.php?DiscussionID=1431) Is nzbdrop creating a view which just looks like an stack to display it's menu or is there a better way of creating this? Additional info: I'm not looking for the drop like functionality just the nice way the DropBox window is displayed as an bubble/stack menu on top of it's app icon.

  • Visual Basic 2010: How to make window/form become active foreground?

    - by hervard
I'm using Visual Basic 2010 Express. I have a form that can be minimized. There's also a tray icon. I've coded it so that if you double-click on the tray icon, the form's FormWindowState becomes set to Normal; this restores the form to where it to where it was before it became minimized, but the form does not become the active window on my desktop. How can I make the form become the active most foreground window? I've tried various functions that I can think of but no luck yet. Tried searching with various queries to try and find the right wording but no luck. I'm new to Visual Basic - only started a couple hours ago. Probably something simple but I can't seem to find the correct function or anything... Please enlighten me! Thanks.

I'm writing an Eclipse plug-in... In my custom label decorator, I want to overlay a warning icon, and I'd like to use the standard one used by eclipse (the little yellow triangle). How can I get an image descriptor of this icon? I tried using workbench.getSharedImages().getImageDescriptor(ISharedImages .IMG_DEC_FIELD_WARNING), since that ID seems to match what I'm looking for, but the shared images collection doesn't actually have that image in it (so I just get a null returned). Is there some other shared image collection that I should be looking at?

  • FLEX, Actionscript: 2 questions about mouseOver event and image scaling

    - by Patrick
hi, 1) if I create items in a for loop, is correct to add a new eventListener for each item ? Or should I add only 1 eventListener to the parent ? and call the event through ID ? 2) if I want to scale my item, (a LinkButton with icon image), I noticed that the icon is sometimes resized with delay, so I have a bit of flickering when I trigger the event. Should I not use icons, and set the image in another way ? How can I fix this ? thanks

  • Trying to output variables into repeater

    - by Phil
    I have a downloads box which attaches to the bottom of the page and gives the user file downloads (icon, filesize, description) like this; <asp:Repeater ID="DownloadsRepeater" runat="server"> <HeaderTemplate> <table width="70%"> <tr> <td colspan="3"><h2>Files you can download:</h2></td> </tr> </HeaderTemplate> <ItemTemplate> <tr> <td width="10%"> <a href="/documents/<%=Session("folder")%>/<%=filename%>"> <img src="images/<%=filename%>" border="0" alt="<%=filename%>" /></a> </td> <td width="25%"><% =filesize%></td> <td><a href="/documents/<%=Session("folder")%>/<%=filename%>"><%=description%></a></td> </tr> </table> </ItemTemplate> </asp:Repeater> Then I have code in my code behind to get the data etc like this; s = "select documents.filename, documents.description, documents.filesize from documents, contentdocuments, content where contentdocuments.contentid = content.id and content.id = @contentid and contentdocuments.documentsid = documents.id ORDER BY documents.description" x = New SqlCommand(s, c) x.Parameters.Add("@contentid", SqlDbType.Int) x.Parameters("@contentid").Value = contentid c.Open() r = x.ExecuteReader While r.Read If r.HasRows Then filename = getimage(r("filename")) If r("filesize") > String.Empty Then filesize = (r("filesize") / 1000) & "kb" End If description = r("description") End If DownloadsRepeater.DataSource = r DownloadsRepeater.DataBind() End While The desired result is that the user sees a file download icon, the filesize and the description. with the icon and the description being linked to the file. Can someone point out where I am going wrong and possibly post a sample of correct syntax for achieving this. Thanks!

  • How to hold three different text alignments in one CSS Box ?

    - by UXdesigner
Good day, I've got a simple CSS question. I'm trying to change a table into a CSS box, but aligning the table content is difficult to me right now. Below there's an example of what's inside of the css box i created. How can I align these three elements (calendar and icon to the left , a text link to the center, and the other date field to the right ?) correctly ? I've tried several things but the problem is getting it aligned properly. I want to change everything in this application that has been created with tables, to css. And I've been an 80% succesful so far. I'd like to see some easy to understand code, to see how I can apply it on my code. Thank you for your kind help. I might be burned out due to stress. [Calendar (icon) Link Date]

  • zoom_changed only triggers once in google maps api version 3 using MVC

    - by fredrik
Hi, I'm trying to use the MVC objects in google maps version 3. What I can't seem to figure out is why my zoom_changed method is only invoked once. When I first load the map the zoom_changed method is invoked. But not when I zoom on the map. function MarkerWidget (options) { this.setValues(options); this.set('zoom', this.map.zoom); var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ icon : this.icon, mouseOverIcon : this.mouseOverIcon, orgIcon : this.orgIcon }); marker.bindTo('map', this); marker.bindTo('position', this); google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'mouseover', this.onmouseover); google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'mouseout', this.onmouseout); } MarkerWidget.prototype = new google.maps.MVCObject(); MarkerWidget.prototype.zoom_changed = function () { $.log(this, new Date()); } Shouldn't the map object fire the zoom event and notify all object's that has "this.set('zoom', this.map.zoom)" ? ..fredrik

  • Creating a variable list Pashua, OS X & Bash.

    - by S1syphus
First of all, for those that don't know pashua is a tool for creating native Aqua dialog windows. An example of what a window config looks like is # pashua_run() # Define what the dialog should be like # Take a look at Pashua's Readme file for more info on the syntax conf=" # Set transparency: 0 is transparent, 1 is opaque *.transparency=0.95 # Set window title *.title = Introducing Pashua # Introductory text tb.type = text tb.default = "HELLO WORLD" tb.height = 276 tb.width = 310 tb.x = 340 tb.y = 44 if [ -e "$icon" ] then # Display Pashua's icon conf="$conf img.type = image img.x = 530 img.y = 255 img.path = $icon" fi if [ -e "$bgimg" ] then # Display background image conf="$conf bg.type = image bg.x = 30 bg.y = 2 bg.path = $bgimg" fi pashua_run "$conf" echo " tb = $tb" The problem is, Pashua can't really get output from stdout, but it can get arguments. Following on from what Dennis Williamson posted here. What ideally it should do is generate an output file based on information from a text file, To executed in pashua_run ore add the pashua_run around the window argument: count=1 while read -r i do echo "AB${count}.type = openbrowser" echo "AB${count}.label = Choose a master playlist file" echo "AB${count}.width=310" echo "AB${count}.tooltip = Blabla filesystem browser" echo "some text with a line from the file: $i" (( count++ )) done < TEST.txt >> long.txt SO the output is AB1.type = openbrowser AB1.label = Choose a master playlist file AB1.width=310 AB1.tooltip = Blabla filesystem browser some text with a line from the file: foo AB2.type = openbrowser AB2.label = Choose a master playlist file AB2.width=310 AB2.tooltip = Blabla filesystem browser some text with a line from the file: bar AB3.type = openbrowser AB3.label = Choose a master playlist file AB3.width=310 AB3.tooltip = Blabla filesystem browser some text with a line from the file: dev AB4.type = openbrowser AB4.label = Choose a master playlist file AB4.width=310 AB4.tooltip = Blabla filesystem random So if there is a clever way to get the output of that and place it into pashua run would be cool, on the fly: I.E load te contents of TEST.txt and generate the place it into pashua_run, I've tried using cat and opening the file... but because it's in Pashua_run it doesn't work, is there a smart way to break out then back in? Or the second way which I was thinking, was create get the output then append it into the middle text file containing the pashua runtime, then execute it, maybe slightly hacky, but I would imagine it will do the job. Any ideas? ++ I know I probably could make my life a lot easier, by doing this in actionscript and cocoa, although at present don't have time for such a learning curve, although I do plan to get round to it.

  • Adding help button for each window

    - by Miraaj
Hi all, I have found that user can associate help with his application using Help Viewer. Users typically launch Help Viewer by choosing the application help item from the Help menu, or by typing a query in the Spotlight For Help text field in the Help menu. I have some different requirement: I want to associate component specific help to my application, means that there will be a small '?' marked icon at bottom left corner of a window and when user clicks it, appropriate help page will open. This case is similar to 'print' panels where there is a small '?' icon. Can anyone suggest me some way to accomplish it, if it is possible? Thanks, Miraaj
