• Screen capture from windows service

  I've got DirectShow based screen capture software. Internally it calls CopyScreenToBitmap function to grab screen. Then the picture is compressed by ffdshow. It works fine as a desktop application, but as window service, on certain computers it does not work (black picture). I've set 'Allow service to interact with desktop' and run that service on current user account. Any ideas what could be wrong? I test it on windows XP, but it is expected to work on Vista and 7 as well. Yes it works as desktop application on all computers, but on some of them (on majority of them) it fails as a service.

• Executing AJAX scripts within an AJAX response

  Hi there, I'm having trouble using AJAX page updates along with other AJAX scripts. During a normal page load, the AJAX scripts (picture scrolling and picture thumbnails) work fine. But when I update a page with AJAX, these scripts (usually loaded in the header of the initial page load) stop working. I am wondering if this is specific to these scripts and I need to look into them deeper to resolve/re-write or if I am missing something more generic in combining AJAX page updates with AJAX scripts the returned code relies on. Embedded javascript runs fine. Thanks for your ideas! • Call pushview from a subview

  Hello everyone, Here is the thing. I currently have a tabBar controller, with several navigation controllers in it. Just like this : http://tof.canardpc.com/view/d27d1361-c81b-43a0-9b5b-abb13d78e422.jpg In my first navigation controller, i have a view controller called NewsViewsController. Here is its nib (see picture). My goal is to show/hide the subviews (with tableview inside) according to the position of the segmented control. This way, I can have two separates viewControllers for each tableview. This is actually working. And here is the result (see picture). My problem is the following one. When i try to click on a cell, the pushview doesn't work. Indeed my self.navigationController is null. How can i push my detail view using the parent navigation controller ? Is the architecture of my application wrong ? Thank you =)

• Android - Adjust screen when keyboard pops up?

  I want to be able to adjust my UI screen on Android when the soft keyboard pops up. So at the minute I have something similiar to the first picture below where I have and EditText at the bottom of the screen and when a user taps the EditText I want the same as what happens in the second picture. That is that the EditText gets moved up and appears to "sit" on top of the soft keyboard, when the soft keyboard dissapears it should then return to its prior state. Can anyone let me know the best way to approach and implement this?

  Hey all, I generate normal links like: <a href="/path/to/image"><img src="/path/to/image" /></a> in a web app. When I click on the link, it displays the picture in a new page. If you want to save the picture, then you need to right click on it and select "save as" I don't want this behaviour, I would like to have a download box popping out when I click on the link, is that possible just with html or javascript? How? If not I guess I would have to write a download.php scrit and call it into the href with the file name as parameter...? Greetings! :)

  i use such code string.Format("<img src='{0}'><br>", u.Avatar); u.Avatar-it's like '/img/path/pic.jpg' but in this site i can upload new image instead old pic.jpg. so picture new, but name is old. and browser show OLD picture (cache). if i put random number like /img/path/pic.jpg?123 then works fine, but i need it only ufter upload, not always. how can i solve this? ?????????? ??????

• Facebook App Wall Posting no longer showing in Facebook iPhone App

Since yesterday, the wall posts only show on the Facebook web app but not the Facebook iPhone app. I tried Yelp, and their postings still show up. How can I debug this?   I have a flowLayoutPanel which I am programatically adding new panelLayouts to. Each panelLayout has a pictureBox within it. It's all working nicely, but I need to detect when that picture box is clicked on. How do I add an event to the picture? I seem to only be able to find c# examples.... my code to add the image is as follows...   I've read some documentation about hadoop and seen the impressive results. I get the bigger picture but am finding it hard whether it would fit our setup. Question isnt programming related but I'm eager to get opinion of people who currently work with hadoop and how it would fit our setup: We use Oracle for backend Java (Struts2/Servlets/iBatis) for frontend Nightly we get data which needs to be summarized. this runs as a batch process (takes 5 hours) We are looking for a way to cut those 5 hours to a shorter time. Where would hadoop fit into this picture? Can we still continue to use Oracle even after hadoop?

I want to get relative to picture pixel coords start and end points of lines. So on this picture to find all lines between tiles and thouse 2 black lines on top. Is there any such Code Example (with lines search capability) to start from? I love C and C++ but any other readable code will probably work for me=)

• Memory leak - debugger and memory analyzer disagreeing

  There is a memory leak in my android game - I've managed to narrow it down to a certain object, which has a list of objects to render on a texture. This object clears the list every time it draws though - so I can't work out how its managed to get thousands of elements in the list. I checked in the debugger and it doesn't have all these thousands of elements - usually about 2-20 which is what I'd expect... The game definitely slows down progressively only if I have rendering to texturing on. • Drupal Imagecache not working

  I created an Imagecache setting that just resizes to 125px wide. First issue is that the preview image is 404. Then I want to print out an image via <?php print theme('imagecache', 'imported_image', $node->picture, 'test', 'test', $attributes); ?> 'imported_image' being the preset and $node-picture is a correct path. The html prints out ok but the path it's trying load the image from does not exist. In sites/default/files/imagecache there is no folder with the name of the preset. Flushing the preset does nothing. The imagecache folder is writeable by everyone. This is on MAMP. Anyone know what the issue could be?

• Comparing images using SIFT

  I'm trying to compare 2 images that are taken from a digital camera. Since there may be movement on the camera, I want to first make the pictures "match" and then compare (using some distant function). To match them, I'm thinking about cropping the second picture and using SIFT to find it inside the first picture... it will probably have a small difference on scale/translation/rotation so then I'd need to find the transformation matrix that converts image 1 to image 2 (based on points found by SIFT) any ideas on how to do that (or I guess that's a common problem that may have some opensource implementation?)? thanks

  Hi, I hope the title says it all: I've got Activity A which fires up the Camera intent via: Intent intent = new Intent(MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE); startActivityForResult(intent, REQUEST_CAMERA); After the picture is taken I can easily grab the picture in: @Override protected void onActivityResult(int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) But I'd like to receive the result in Activity B in which the image can be edited. Right now I'm receiving the result in Activity A and pass it over to Activity B which results in showing the GUI of Activity A for a short while: Intent i = new Intent().setAction("DisplayJPEG"); i.setClass(this, EditImageActivity.class); i.putExtra("IMAGE_URI", uri); startActivityForResult(i, REQUEST_EDIT_IMAGE); Of course, I will need the result from Activity B in Activity A after the image has been edited.   I have a small OSX Cocoa app that just bring up an IKPicutreTaker and saves the picture to a file if one is set. I use applicationShouldTerminateAfterLastWindowClosed: to close the application when the pictureTaker is closed. This all works fine when I either set(this is done when you have picked the picture you want) or when you hit cancel, but when I click on the red arrow in the top left of the windows, the application does not quit when the window is closed this way. Is this intended functionality or am I doing something wrong (not setting some flag?). Also, is there some way to disable this button?

  Laying out the verticies in a DAG in a tree form (i.e. verticies with no in-edges on top, verticies dependent only on those on the next level, etc.) is rather simple without graph drawing algorithms such as Efficient Sugimiya. However, is there a simple algorithm to do this that minimizes edge crossing? (For some graphs, it may be impossible to completely eliminate edge crossing.) A picture says a thousand words, so is there an algorithm that would suggest: instead of: EDIT: As the picture suggests, a vertex's inputs are always on top and outputs are always below, which is another barrier to just pasting in an existing layout algorithm.

I have two videos and I want to play them at the same time (similar to picture in picture effect) -- i.e. a part of the two videos are overlapped when they are playing (the same concept of Z-Order in UI design).   I display an image in a UIImageView (within a UIScrollView) which is also stored in CoreData. In the interface, I want the user to be able to rotate the picture by 90 degrees. I also want it to be saved in CoreData. What should I rotate in the display? the scrollview, the uiimageview or the image itself? (If possible I would like the rotation to be animated) But then I also have to save the picture to CoreData. I thought about changing the image orientation but this property is readonly.

  This seems like an easy enough issue but I can't seem to find the keywords to effect my searches. I'm trying to unit test by mocking out all objects within this method call. I am able to do so to all of my own creations except for this one: public void MyFunc(MyVarClass myVar) { Image picture; ... picture = Image.FromStream(new MemoryStream(myVar.ImageStream)); ... } FromStream is a static call from the Image class (part of c#). So how can I refactor my code to mock this out because I really don't want to provide a image stream to the unit test.

• How to loop an executable command in the terminal in Linux?

  Let me first describe my situation, I am working on a Linux platform and have a collection of .bmp files that add one to the picture number from filename0022.bmp up to filename0680.bmp. So a total of 658 pictures. I want to be able to run each of these pictures through a .exe file that operates on the picture then kicks out the file to a file specified by the user, it also has some threshold arguments: lower, upper. So the typical call for the executable is: ./filter inputfile outputfile lower upper Is there a way that I can loop this call over all the files just from the terminal or by creating some kind of bash script? My problem is similar to this: Execute a command over multiple files with a batch file but this time I am working in a Linux command line terminal. Thank you for your help, Luke H
