  • Android NDK Question

    The NDK does not contain very many shared libraries for you to access. As a result, I must build many sources myself and link them into my shared library via static/shared libraries. I want to compile libpng as a Static Library. Trouble is, I have absolutely no idea how, nor does google instruct you how to do so in their NDK. I'm no expert on the NDK even after reading everything I can find, so I would really appreciate someone who actually knows how this is done. I do have the Android.mk file for libpng, as google's Android OS source contains it. Infact, I got the entire directory on the android OS source for libpng and it's dependent libraries. It was somewhat of a shortcut instead of making one myself. I don't know how to make a particular directory which contains this file, though. Thanks for reading!

  • getting rid of ruby gems that won't die

    I've got a few ruby gems that won't go away. I think it has to do with when I installed them. Occasionally I have forgotten to use "sudo" before doing a gem install, which results in a write error and from what I can gather puts a copy of the gem in my user directory instead of somewhere it can run. But gem uninstall doesn't work. It continually shows up in 'gem list' but can't uninstall it from either gem uninstall, or sudo gem uninstall. I tried directly deleting one gem after finding the path in my 'gem environment', but that still left the gem on the list. Also is it possible just to remove all gems and start from scratch? These are driving me nuts. I'm running OS X. Thanks,

  • D-Day Calendar has wrong dates when importing from google calendar?

    Hi I am using D-Day calendar and I am not sure but I got a weird problem. I basically have this for my code iCalendar iCal = iCalendar.LoadFromStream(file.InputStream); foreach (Event evt in iCal.Events) { DateTime start = evt.DTStart.Date; DateTime end = evt.DTEnd.Date; // loop through it and get values. } Yet when I import a calendar from google calendar the end date is messed up on some of the stuff I am importing. Like for instance I have this Title: should not show When: Sun, March 21(all day). Yet when I import it in. I says the start date is the 21st yet the end date is the 22nd when it should be the 21st. Not sure what is going on. I am not really sure what other info I can give you guys.

(I have an array of about 10 URLS, usually only about 2 of them give me the descrption. I have yet to get the title).     Hi, I have used just Windows for programming so far. Now, I have an internship starting in two weeks and I will be using just Linux environment with Python programming language. I've installed Ubuntu on my system but have no exposure to shell scripting. I need some advice on how I can quickly learn to use the Linux terminal quickly. Any books or web resources that you can suggest? Also, is there a particular IDE that is generally preferred for Python programming on Linux, or is Vim preferred?     hi, first of all thanks for taking your time! I'm a junior Dev, working with PHP + mysql. My issue: I'm saving data from a form to my database. From this form, there's only need to save the contacts: Name, phone number, address. But, it would be nice to have a small reference to the user answers. Let's say for each question we've got a value betwee 1 and 4. Since there's no need to create a table just for it, because what's needed is just the personal contacts. I'm thinking of recording each question/answer, as a letter and its correspondent value. Example (A2, B1, C5, D3, etc). My question is: Is there a format I could afterwards, handle easily ? Convert to array (string to array) in case the client change ideas, and ask this data, placed in table columns ? Just to prevent this situation! Example, From (A2, B1, C5 ) to array( "A" = "1", "B" = "1", "C" = "5" ) For now I guess, Regex is the answer, but it's allways hard to figure it out and I'm allways getting in troubles =) Thanks!

    I'm working on a large computer science school project using java and SQlite. After finding out that the zentus.org wrapper errors on databases with ON DELETE and ON UPDATE clauses set, I have changed to the other wrapper found at http://www.ch-werner.de/javasqlite. However, I find the documentation lacking somewhat when trying to get an overview on how it works and how to use it, and the function descriptions are very very short, and you have to scan through every function and somewhat guess how they work and what they do. I wasn't able to find any guides on google on how to use it. My question: Does anyone know a link for a guide or tutorial for the ch-werner.de/javasqlite wrapper, or else can give me a basic code example, or give a quick overview of querying the database and the most used functions, and how to use them?

  • Cannot connect to local database.

    Hi, I have apache and mysql set up on my local machine (Mac). Whenever I go to any of my local sites I get the "Error establishing a database connection" whenever anything mySql related happens. It was working perfectly yesterday, but when I started my computer today it is not. I can login to mysql on the terminal and that all works fine, I can view database and run queries in the terminal. Look at all my table etc. I've tried restarting apache. Anyone know what's up? This is worrying.

  • MovieClip.onResize event? how?

    I have a an swf, called 'controls' that I created with flash cs4. I upload the controls.swf to my web server. I create an application in flex and it loads the external swf controls into itself. So far I can manipulate the controls.swf via my flex app. I created a class in my external swf, but I need to add some onResize event/check to my scroll bar. For example, if my scrollbar size increases/decreases, I want it to change variable values. Is there some movieClip.onResize event?

  • date comparisons in Rails

    Hi there, I'm having trouble with a date comparison in a named scope. I'm trying to determine if an event is current based on its start and end date. Here's the named scope I'm using which kind of works, though not for events that have the same start and end date. named_scope :date_current, :conditions => ["Date(start_date) <= ? AND Date(end_date) >= ?", Time.now, Time.now] This returns the following record, though it should return two records, not one... >> Event.date_current => [#<Event id: 2161, start_date: "2010-02-15 00:00:00", end_date: "2010-02-21 00:00:00", ...] What it's not returning is this as well >> Event.find(:last) => #<Event id: 2671, start_date: "2010-02-16 00:00:00", end_date: "2010-02-16 00:00:00", ...> The server time seems to be in UTC and I presume that the entries are being stored in the DB in UTC. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong or what to try? Thanks!
