  I'm looking for opinions on whether microformats should be used to name JSON elements. For instance, there is a microformat for physical addresses, that looks like this: <div class="adr"> <div class="street-address">665 3rd St.</div> <div class="extended-address">Suite 207</div> <span class="locality">San Francisco</span>, <span class="region">CA</span> <span class="postal-code">94107</span> <div class="country-name">U.S.A.</div> </div> There is a document available on using JSON and Microformats. The information above could be represented as JSON data like this: "adr": { "street-address":"665 3rd St.", "extended-address":"Suite 207", "locality":"San Fransicso", "region":"CA", "postal-code":"94107", "country-name":"U.S.A." }, The issue I have with this is that I'd like my JSON data to be as lightweight as possible, but still human readable. While still supporting international addresses, I would prefer something like this: "address": { "street":"665 3rd St.", "extended":"Suite 207", "locality":"San Fransicso", "region":"CA", "code":"94107", "country":"U.S.A." }, If I'm designing a new JSON API right now, does it make sense to use microformats from the start? Or should I not really worry about it? Is there some other standard that is more specific to JSON that I should look at?

• Copy data from different worksheet to a master worksheet but no duplicates

  hi all, i want to clarify my initial question for a possible solutions from any savior out there. Say i have 3 excel sheets one for each user for data entry located in separate workbooks to avoid excel share workbook problems. I also have a master sheet in another workbook where i want individual data enter on those sheets precisely sheets 1 should copy to the next available row of sheet 1 in the master sheet as the users enter them. i need a vba code that can copy each record without copying a duplicate row in the master sheet but highlight the duplicate row and lookup the initial record in a master sheet and return the name of the Imputer looking up the row say column ( I) where each user sign there initials after every row of entry like below. • Using RecordStore in Java J2ME

  Hi, I am currently doing some J2ME development. I am having a problem in that a user can add and remove elements to the record store, and if a record gets deleted, then that record is left empty and the others don't move up one. I'm trying to come up with a loop that will check if a record has anything in it (incase it has been deleted) and if it does then I want to add the contents of that record to a list. My code is similar to as follows: for (int i = 1; i <= rs.getNumRecords(); i++) { // Re-allocate if necessary if (rs.getRecordSize(i) > recData.length) recData = new byte[rs.getRecordSize(i)]; len = rs.getRecord(i, recData, 0); st = new String(recData, 0, len); System.out.println("Record #" + i + ": " + new String(recData, 0, len)); System.out.println("------------------------------"); if(st != null) { list.insert(i-1, st, null); } } When it gets to rs.getRecordSize(i), I always get a "javax.microedition.rms.InvalidRecordIDException: error finding record". I know this is due to the record being empty but I can't think of a way to get around this problem. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  I want to insert a hash in the db using Storable::nfreeze but the data is not inserted properly. My code is as follows: %rec=(); $rec{'name'} = 'my name'; $rec{'address'} = 'my address'; my $order1 = new Order(); $order1->set_session(\%rec); $self->createOrder($order1); sub createOrder { my $self = $_[0]; my $order = $_[1]; # Retrieve the fields to insert into the database. my $st = $dbh->prepare("insert into order (session,.......) values(?,........)"); my $session = %{$order->get_session()}; $st->execute(&Storable::nfreeze(\%session),.....); $st->finish(); } sub getOrder { ... my $session = &Storable::thaw( $ref->{'session'} ); ..... } The thaw is working fine because I tested it withe some rows that have been inserted correctly, but when I try to get a row that was inserted using the createOrder subroutine, I get an error saying: Storable binary image v36.65 more recent than I am (v2.7) at blib/lib/Storable.pm (autosplit into blib/lib/auto/Storable/thaw.al) line 415 The error comes from the line that have thaw. The nfreeze did not store the hash properly. Can someone point me to what I'm doing wrong in the createOrder subroutine? I know the module version have nothing to do with the problem.

• Is it possible to group records belonging to an entity in dbunit?

  Our JPA entity model auto-generates primary key identifiers for user, user_address tables. Would it be possible to group these entities given below via dbunit, so that I don't need to provide neither the primary key as well as the foreign key reference from user_address.user_id. It is getting very hard to maintain these keys (i.e. I would prefer to group the primary record 'user' and the child records 'user_address' so that dbunit can group them automatically by looking up the entity metadata). • java url connection, wait for data being sent through the outputstream

  I'm writting a java class that tests uploading speed connection to a server. I want to check how many data can be send in 5 seconds. I've written a class which creates a URL, creates a connection, and sends data trough the outPutStream. There is a loop where I writte data to the stream for 5 seconds. However I'm not able to see when data has been send (I writte data to the output stream, but data is not send yet). How can I wait untill data is really sent to the server? What I'm wondering is how do I access these word objects to update the frequency?   Hi, I have inherited some code in which I now have to add CSRF prevention and am trying to use the struts2 tokenSession interceptor to do this. The code works as expected without this interceptor. (struts2 xml file not posted - will post the relevant section if required). I have also used the tokenSession interceptor in other pages which use a basic html submit button (i.e. not going via javascript or jquery) and this also works as expected. What is making the token invalid? N.B. The project I have inherited uses a strange mixture of standard html, struts2 tags, ExtJS and JQuery. I will clean this up at some point but at the moment I just need to get the tokenSession interceptor working asap in the code as-is (as I have to apply a similar fix to several hundred pages...). Any help/pointers/tips/etc greatly appreciated! Regards, John

  Hi all, I have a question about how to make multiple clients can access a single file located on server side and keep the file consistent. I have a simple PhoneBook server-client Jini program running at the moment, and server only provides some getter functions to clients, such as getName(String number), getNumber(String name) from a PhoneBook class(serializable), phonebook data are stored in a text file (phonebook.txt) at the moment. I have tried to implement some functions allowing to write a new records into the phonebook.txt file. If the writing record (name) is existing, an integer number will be added into the writing record. for example the existing phonebook.txt is .... John 01-01010101 .... if the writing record is "John 01-12345678",then "John_1 01-12345678" will be writen into phonebook.txt However, if i start with two clients A and B (on the same machine using localhost), and A tries to write "John 01-11111111", B tries to write "John 01-22222222". The early record will be overwritten later record. So, there must be something i did complete wrong. My client and server code are just like Jini HelloWorld example. My server side code is . 1. LookupDiscovery with parameter new String[]{""}; 2. DiscoveryListener for LookupDiscovery 3. registrations are saved into a HashTable 4. for every discovered lookup service, i use registrar to register the ServiceItem, ServiceItem contains a null attributeSets, a null serviceId, and a service. The client code has: 1. LookupDiscovery with parameter new String[]{""}; 2. DiscoveryListener for LookupDiscovery 3. a ServiceTemplate with null attributeSets, a null serviceId and a type, the type is the interface class. 4. for each found ServiceRegistrar, if it can find the looking for ServiceTemplate, the returned Object is cast into the type of the interface class. I have tried to google more details, and i found JavaSpace could be the one i missed. But i am still not sure about it (i only start Jini for a very short time). So any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I have this list: names = ['john','Jonh','james','James','Jardel'] I want loop over the list and handle consecutive names with a case insensitive match in the same iteration.
