  • Routing audio from GSM module to a Bluetooth HandsFree device

    I have a system with the following setup: I use: Windows CE 6 R3 Microsoft's Bluetooth stack including all profiles Motorola H500 The Audio Gateway service is up and running (checked through services list in cmd) GSM Module is functional - I am able to set outgoing calls and to answer calls. Bluetooth is functional - the A2DP profile plays music to Motorola headphones (can't remember the model right now) I want to hold a conversation using a headset device. I have included all Bluetooth components in the catalog. I pair the device using the Control Panel applet. When I press the button on the Motorla device to answer a call I get a print by the Audio Gateway: BTAGSVC: ConnectionEvent. BTAGSVC: SCOListenThread_Int - Connection Event. BTAGSVC: ConnectionEvent. BTAGSVC: SCOListenThread_Int - Connection Event. BTAGSVC: ConnectionEvent. BTAGSVC: A Bluetooth peer device has connected to the Audio Gateway. BTAGSVC: Could not open registry key for BT Addr: 2. BTAGSVC: The peer device was not accepted since the user has never confirmed it as a device to be used. So my questions are as follows: What do I need to do to pair the device with the Audio Gateway? Once my device is paired, do I need to set anything else up? (except for the GSM module of course)

  • active_scaffold routing error

    If you haven't seen my question yesterday, this is my second rails app. The first went nice and smooth, but this one keeps giving me one random error after another. I installed active_scaffold for this app as well as the last app (the first error, instead of using script/install plugin git://active_scaffold repository, I did script/install plugin http://active_scaffold repository.) I didn't want to spell out basic CRUD on minor models. After the install problems, (before I found the http solution from a windows user when I'm on Linux) I thought I'd try out Hobo. Well, Hobo updated actionmailer, actionpack, activerecord, activeresource, and installed rack. Rails isn't even using the updated versions. But as you can see at the bottom of the trace it's using rack. I have a feeling it has something to do with my futzing around with installing Hobo which I uninstalled. Thanks in advanced. [Edit] I had asked the question over at the ActiveScaffold Group the answer (if you don't want to follow the link) was that this line needed to be added to routes: map.resources :modelName, :active_scaffold => true It doesn't entirely answer my question, since the documentation said nothing about changing routes. But, it works. Where are the other ones defined/described? They were generated by RESTful authentication plugin. How should I map /add-to-cart to it's action/controller, to have automatically add_to_cart_path method generated?

    In a brand new ASP.NET MVC2 project, I want the user to be redirected to http://<mysite>/home/index rather than http://<mysite>/ We do this with our other sites for tracking purposes, to avoid the scenario where hits to the same default page show up as http://<mysite>/ http://<mysite>/default.aspx How do I accomplish this so that http://<mysite>/ automatically redirects to whatever default controller/action I have set up in my routing? Please note that I am aware the two are functionally equivalent, as the default controller action will be executed either way. I'm just interested in forcing consistent URLs in the browser.

    I have found some broken threads across the web where people claim to be able to use receive shapes in an orchestration with XLANGMessage types to receive flat file schema files that could not be assembled into a specific xsd. I've attempted to set the messagetype in the receive shape as Microsoft.XLANGS.BaseTypes.XLANGMessage, but this basetype is not serializable. This then causes a build error. Is there an object type that can capture both XmlDocuments of well formed xml messages as well as malformed xml and non-assembled flat files?

    I'm building out an API for web app that I've been working on for some time. I've started with the User model. The user portion of the API will allow remote clients to a) retrieve user data, b) update user information and c) create new users. I've gotten all of this to work, but it doesn't seem like its setup correctly. Here are my questions: Should the API endpoint be users or user? What's the best practice? I have to add the action to the end, which I would expect to be picked up instead by the request type so I don't have to specify it explicitly. How do I get my routes setup properly as not to have to include the method for protected actions? Let me give some examples: Get request for show - want it to work without the "show" curl -u rmbruno:blah http://app.local/api/users/show Put request for update - want it to work without the "update" curl -X put -F 'user[forum_notifications]=true' -u rmbruno:blah http://app.local/api/users/update Create - works with or without 'create' which is what I want for all these actions curl -X post -F 'user[login]=mamafatta' -F 'user[email][email protected]' -F 'user[password]=12345678' http://twye.local/api/users/ How do I structure routes to not require the action name? Isn't that the common way to to RESTful APIs? Here is my route for the API now: map.namespace :api do |route| route.resources :users route.resources :weight end I'm using restful authentication which is handling the http auth in curl.     Hello Everyone, I am developing an application using cakePHP v 1.3 on windows (XAMPP). Most of the controllers are baked with the admin routing enabled. I want to secure the admin actions of every controller with a login page. How can I do this without repeating much ? One solution to the problem is that "I check for login information in the admin_index action of every controller" and then show the login screen accordingly. Is there any better way of doing this ? The detault URL to admin (http://localhost/app/admin) is pointing to the index_admin action of users controller (created a new route for this in routes.php file) Thanks

  • Routing problem with calling a new method without an ID

    I'm trying to put together a form_tag that edits several Shift objects. I have the form built properly, and it's passing on the correct parameters. I have verified that the parameters work with updating the objects correctly in the console. However, when I click the submit button, I get the error: ActiveRecord::RecordNotFound in ShiftsController#update_individual Couldn't find Shift without an ID My route for the controller it is calling looks like this looks like this: map.resources :shifts, :collection => { :update_individual => :put } The method in ShiftsController is this: def update_individual Shift.update(params[:shifts].keys, params[:shifts].values) flash[:notice] = "Schedule saved" end The relevant form parts are these: <% form_tag( update_individual_shifts_path ) do %> ... (fields for...) <%= submit_tag "Save" %> <% end %> Why is this not working? If I browse to the url: "http://localhost:3000/shifts/update_individual/5" (or any number that corresponds to an existing shift), I get the proper error about having no parameters set, but when I pass parameters without an ID of some sort, it errors out. How do I make it stop looking for an ID at the end of the URL?

  • Xml files stop being served by IIS6 after allowing .net to process the .xml extension

    I added a route into my site to allow for a sitemap and everything worked fine in IIS7 but once I deployed the route stopped working. Since the live server is running IIS6 I needed to put a new mapping in for .xml to be processed by .net and then it started to work. My issue though is on every other xml file on the site now. I keep getting a 404 error when trying to view xml files, but the sitemap.xml route works. Is this a routing issue or an IIS setup issue?   • Why is this static routing not working ?

    Greeting gurus, I'm trying to develop a DHCP enforcement extension like Microsoft NAP. My trick to block dynamic-IP requesting machines (that don't meet certain policy) is to strip the default gateway (no default gateway) stated in the IP lease and set the lease subnet mask to 255.255.255.255. Now I need the blocked machines to be able to reach some specific locations (IPs) on the network. To allow for this, I'm including some static routes in the lease. For example, I'm including 10.10.10.11 via router 10.10.10.254 (the one to which the blocked machine that needs to access 10.10.10.11 is connected). Unfortunately, as soon as I set the default gateway to nothing, blocked machines cannot reach any of the added static routes. I also tried classless static routes. Any ideas ? any one knows how MS NAP actually do it ? Geeko

    My Silverlight 4 app is hosted in ASP.NET MVC 2 web application. It works fine when I browse with Internet Explorer 8. However Google Chrome (version 5) cannot find ASP.NET controllers. Specifically, the following ASP.NET controller works both with Chrome and IE. //[OutputCache(NoStore = true, Duration = 0, VaryByParam = "None")] public ContentResult TestMe() { ContentResult result = new ContentResult(); XElement response = new XElement("SvrResponse", new XElement("Data", "my data")); result.Content = response.ToString(); return result; } If I uncomment [OutputCache] attribute then it works with IE but not with Chrome. Also, I use custom model binding with controllers, so if I write the following: public ContentResult TestMe(UserContext userContext) { ... } it also works with IE, but again not with Chrome which gives me error message saying that resource was not found. Of course, I configured IIS 6 for handling all requests via aspnet_isapi.dll and I have registered custom model binder in my web app's Global.asax inside Application_Start() method. Can someone explain me what might be the cause? Thank you.

  • Will the URL /nosuchpage get routed via my ASP.NET MVC application?

    [I'm trying to figure out the reason why I'm having another problem, and this question is part of the puzzle.] I have an MVC 2 website that has routing set up so that URLs such as /Customer/23/Order/47 get handled by various controllers. I do not have a rule that would match, for example, /nosuchpage and in my Cassini environment a request for that URL will trigger my Application_Error code, which lets me log the error and show a friendly response. However, when I deployed this website on IIS7 using integrated mode, my Application_Error is not triggered, and IIS shows its own 404 message. No matter what I've tried, I can't get Application_Error to fire. Now I'm thinking: is the reason it doesn't fire because the request is not getting routed via my application? Either because I didn't explicitly set up a catch-all route, or because the file-extension fools it into thinking it should use the "static file handler" (whatever that is)? Should I expect my Application_Error to be invoked?

    Hi all, I've PreviewMouseDown event on TreeView in order to determine if user can select other item based on some logic. If the current item data changed, will appear MessageBox that asks the user if he want to discard the changes. if user press YES , I set e.Handled = false; to enable the new selection. and if user press NO, I set e.Handled = true; to cancel the new selection. The problem is that although I set e.Handled = false , the event stop and no selection event occurs on TreeView. Someone has solution for that? Thanks in advance!

    I have two models -- User and Entry -- that are related through a has_many relationship (a User has many Entries). I'm using RESTful routing, and have the following in my routes.rb file: map.resource :user, :controller => "users" do |user| user.resources :entries end This seems to work, but in my partial _form file, when I do this: form_for [@current_user, @entry] do |f| # Form stuff end It generates a URL like this: /user/entries.%23%3Cuser:0xb6a6aea8%3E instead of /user/entries Am I missing something? I should note that the correct classes are applied to the form when doing creation vs. editing, so it does seem to be correctly interpreting what I'm trying to do -- it's just that I can't submit the form to an invalid url.

    Hi, is it possible to create and register routes after Application.Start() is called? let's say have a controller, PersonController. With default routing, URLs could look something like www.site.com/Person/Edit/4, with 'Person' matching the controller. now imagine I have several users, some may prefer we use the term 'Friends'. I would like to use the same controller, and have /Friends/Edit/4 map to the same controller/action/id. Maybe someone else prefers /Comrades/Edit/4. with the naming preferences stored in a database, is there a way that I can dynamically create these routes at some point mid-application, after the user has logged in? thanks!

  • Having all Views in the Shared folder - works but is throwing "caught exceptions". Performance conc

    Hi everyone, I have a simple but heavily used app done in VS2010/MVC2. I didn't like having separate folders for each view/controller and so have all the views in the Shared folder. It's working fine but while debugging in VS, I noticed that it's throwing IO "caught exceptions" since it seems to be looking in the [FolderName]/[ViewName] folder before going down to the Shared folder. Again, the app runs fine but I'm concerned that all these "caught exceptions" will have a minor performance impact since they do have a cost in via the CLR. Is there any way I can configure the Routing so that it will only look in the Shared folder? Thanks.

    I'm reading these two pages resources Adding more RESTful actions The Rails Guides page shows map.resources :photos, :new => { :upload => :post } And its corresponding URL /photos/upload This looks wonderful. My routes.rb shows this map.resources :users, :new => { :signup => :get, :register => :post } When I do: [~/my_app]$ rake routes I see the two new routes added signup_new_user GET /users/new/signup(.:format) register_new_user POST /users/new/register(.:format) Note the inclusion of /new! I don't want that. I just want /users/signup and /users/register (as described in the Rails Routing Guide). Any help?
