  Hi, I have the following php-script, now I need to do the same thing in javascript. Is there a funcion in javascript that works similar to the php function, I have been searching for days but cannot find anything similar? • How do I create an editable databound combo box in a DataGrid in WinForm

  I have a noob question. I have a WinForm (.net 2.0 in VS 2008) on my from I have a DataGrid One of the fields in that datagrid is a combo box that is bound to a separate table. this works, but I am unable to edit or add, I cannot add a value that is not on the list. I am looking to create a lookup box for lack of a better term. The form is for Parts Order Entry In the data Grid Data Source is PartsOrder_table, the Work order Field is a int in the PartsOrder_table, and the combo box is bound to the WorkOrder_table. The WorkOPRder_Table has WorkOrd_ID int and WrkOrd nvarchar(10) the Combo Box Data Source is WorkOrd_Table Display Member is WorkOrd Value Member is WorkOrder_ID This works great with the problem that I cannot add or select anything not in WorkOrder_table.   I have a simple join in a query however I need to have a condition on both of the tables "confirmed='yes'" but if one of the tables doesn't have any that match the query returns with no rows.   I have spent the last 3 hours google and bing for a good asm tutorial(x86 variety). I have been on this site for many of these results. Non have really been sufficient. Mainly because while i like learning theory, i learn it best via practice, while for example pc-asm has about 20-30 pages of theroy before anything practical.   While setInterval is handy, it's kind of limiting. Every time I want to add a Tween I have to add a new method. I do not want to alter the structure of my code just to add in some delays. Isn't there any way to say this without making methods for A and B? // do A // wait N seconds // do B I don't want to use a while loop with Dates because I think it will be blocking. Isn't there anything like Thread.sleep in ActionScript?

  I have the following array that I get as an output from facebook: http://www.paste.to/v/1jntlnml With the following code: $stream = $facebook->api_client->stream_get('',128342905144,'0','0',30,'','','',''); foreach($stream as $wallpost) { echo '<pre>'; print_r($wallpost); echo '</pre>'; } So I get the data that I need, but I want to call the individual variables within this array. For example, echo out the [message] for each post. Since it only loops once, I cant echo $wallpost['message'] or anything similar. any idea?

• Problem running firefox built from source (on Ubuntu 9.10)

  The title of the question sums it up pretty well. I've downloaded the source for firefox 3.6 and built it (no errors), but when I try to run it, I get a warning that says: (firefox-bin:2857): GLib-WARNING **: g_set_prgname() called multiple times I'm not sure what to try now. Any suggestions? Or even a better place to ask this question? *EDIT - It's not that I only get a warning, that wouldn't bother me. The problem is that the warning is the only thing that ever happens (no firefox windows show up or anything). When I run it from the terminal, that warning shows up twice and then nothing else happens (it just hangs and I have to Ctrl-C it).

• What is an appropriate way to programmatically exit an application?

  I am evaluating user inputs as commands for my application. If the user presses Q, or q, and then hits enter, the application quits and execution terminates. Is there a proper context, or best practices on how to do that? I do not have any resources to release, or anything like that. Should I just use System.exit(0);? Is there a recommended way to do that? • How do you get GWT 2.0 to accept clicks on two different Widgets added to a LayoutPanel?

  Using GWT 2.0 I have an entry point that adds two Widgets to a LayoutPanel. The Widgets both handle click events and have click events ergistered to them. The problem is that only the last widget added to the LayoutPanel can actually be clicked. Switch the order in which the widgets are added switches the widget that works. Add mroe widgets and still the only you can click is the last one added to the LayoutPanel. Any idea why this is? Is there any reasoning behind the behaviour, or have I missunderstood what is happening under the covers? How do I gat all widgets in the LayoutPanel to accept events? Should I be using another panel class? I'm not too bothered if the LayoutPanel prevents anything below it from being clicked, but want all Widgets added to it to be clickable.

The problem is (i think) that most of them, do not apply in asp pages. So the question is how can i place the footer with pure CSS in Asp pages? • Documents/Images display fine in Simulator, but not on my device

  Hello. My application is running fine on the simulator, but not on the device. Basically, any documents from the web (PDF, Word, M4P videos) are working great on the simulator (and can be accessed from Safari on the iPhone). However, running on the iPhone, they don't display anything. Here's some sample code: // Set up the URL documentViewController.documentUrl = [NSURL URLWithString:[NSString stringWithFormat:mobileContentUrl]]; // mobileContentUrl is something like: http://www.myserver.com/pathitem/Video.mp4" and can be accessed from Safari [self.navigationController pushViewController:documentViewController animated:YES]; Within documentViewController I have: - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; [webView loadRequest:[NSURLRequest requestWithURL:documentUrl]]; } As I said, works like a charm in the Simulator...What could possibly causing this NOT to work on iPhone? • Not able to include ntifs.h in win32 project

  I tried to use the function called NTCreateFile. When I compiled it gave me an error saying "_NTCreateFile identifier not found". I inlcuded the header winternl.h. So next I tried to use ZwCreatFile, as per MSDN I included ntifs.h, but I am not able to include that header. It says "not able to open/find the directory". I am using V@2008. What is the problem? Am I missing anything?

  Hi, I'm developing an application that will most likely be preinstalled on devices. It will be also available on Market. Is there a way to update those instances that are not downloaded through Market, since Market won't notify users about an update. I was thinking about, as suggested here, trying to contact my site periodically, and when update is available, download it. I'm wondering if there is a way to do this update automatically, so that user doesn't have to do anything (like running the package manually). Or, when my site shows update is available, to offer users an update through Market, even though it's not installed through Market. Thanks!

It works perfectly on my code, but I don't have any idea how to set the initial current screen to second or third screen. the method setCurrentScreen(int) doesn't affect anything and if I change the for loop inside the onLayout() method from for (int i = 0; i < count; i++) {...} into for (int i = 1; i < count; i++){...} It does starts in page two, but you can't go to page one. Any idea how to start on page two?

• Android: how to start a service at boot based on user-settings?

  Hey everyone, I'm trying to write an app that consists of an activity that manages a background service. However, I want to implement a user setting for automatically starting the service up at boot time. I have user settings implemented with SharedPreferences and I have the services starting up at boot by using a BroadcastReceiver and listening for BOOT_COMPLETED. However, I can't figure out a good way to implement a setting so that the service is only started at boot if said setting is enabled. I can think of a few cheap ways to do this (such as messing with onCreate() in the service, or creating/checking for a file on SD card) but I want to follow good practice. There must be a good way to do this because there's tons of apps out there that do it, I just can't find anything online about how to do it. Thanks

• Deselect all options in Multiple Select with 1 option

  Hello, I currently have the following js code function clearMulti(option) { var i; var select = document.getElementById(option.parentNode.id); for(i=1;i<select.options.length;i++) { select.options[i].selected=false; } } and function clearAllOpt(select) { select.options[0].selected = false; } The first one deselects all options in the multiple select when called and the second clears the first option whenever anything else is selected. The need for this is that the first option is for All. This all works fine and dandy in FF, but in IE8 nothing happens... any suggestions on how to get this to work in both? Thanks in advance.

• Why does OpenGL have to completely break backwards compatablity?

  I'm not sure if this only applies to JOGL or the entire OpenGL project in general. But there seems to be a vast difference between versions 3.x and 2.x; Code that works on one version will not work on another. It looks to me like the library designers intentionally renamed various classes, packages, and functions just to screw up the existing code. I've never seen anything like this before. The problem is I'm not sure which library to use now, and when looking at code it's not so easy to figure out whether it's supposed to run on 2.x or 3.x.

• Can't get a List(Of <my class>) from a Dictionary in .NET?

Some of the variables in my Session class is: Private count As Integer Private StartDate As Date Private Values As List(Of Integer) and a couple of methods like: Friend Sub Counter(ByVal c as Integer) count += c End Sub There is no problem to add values to the Dictionary: Dim Sessions As New List(Of Session) Dim dict As New Dictionary(Of Integer, Sessions) then some code to fill up a couple of Session objects in Sessions (not shown here) and then: dict.Add(17, Sessions) 'No problem Sessions.Clear() Sessions = dict(17) 'This doesn't return anything! The Sessions object is empty even if the code doesn't returned any error. Is my class Session to compex to be stored in a Dictionary?

The variables comes from a mysql_query and I have to do the query first. But then, if I do, I will get an error message: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by ... • How to track when my application has unexpectedly shut down?

  I'm writing an application whose purpose involves a lot of logging of different events. Among those I would also like to have an event that the application was shut down - even if unexpectedly like because of a power loss. Naturally, when the power goes out I don't get a chance to write anything anywhere. So my idea was to continuously write a timestamp in some known location (say, once per minute), and when the application was next run, it could determine the approximate time of the unexpected shutdown. A precision of 1 minute would be acceptable for me. However I'm worried that caching at the OS and disk level might interfere with this approach. Is there a better way or if not - how to make sure that the data I just wrote is REALLY written out to the physical medium? Added: Oh, almost forgot the buzzword line: Windows XP and above; .NET 3.5; C#.
