    In my multithread application I use TThread.suspend and TThread.resume Since moving my application to Delphi 2010 I get the following warring message [DCC Warning] xxx.pas(277): W1000 Symbol ‘Resume’ is deprecated If Resume is deprecated what should be used in place? EDIT 1: I use the Resume command to start the thread - as it is Created with 'CreateSuspended' set to True and Suspend before I terminate the thread. EDIT 2: Here is a link the delphi 2010 manual

  • Batch file that returns folder size

    Hi, I'm having space issues on my Vista machine and need to figure out what's taking up so much space. I would like to write a simple batch file that returns all folders under C: and the size of each folder. The dir command doesn't appear to return folder size. Unfortunately we don't have admin rights and can't install a third party application and we have other users in our group that also need this information. Thanks...

    I'm considering writing a console application in C# and I want to incorporate history, completion and command line editing features something like GNU readline (but not necessarily as extensive as that!) Is there an existing library for .net which provides this type of functionality? I guess one option would be to use interop services to call GNU readline. But is there a native option? Paul.

  • Is there any way to evaluate (expand-file-name) in .dir-locals.el?

    I'm trying to move all my compilation config (compilation-command and compilation-directory to be exact) to .dir-locals.el file at the top of my project. It is working fine except that I can't find the way to use expand-file-name there and without it I have to use absolute path, which is not really convenient. So, is there a way (or a dirty hack) to make local directory variables to evaluate values before assigning?

    How do I track upstream SVN changes using git-svn and github? I used git-svn to convert an SVN repo to git on github: $ git svn clone -s http://svn.osqa.net/svnroot/osqa/ osqa $ cd osqa $ git remote add origin [email protected]:turian/osqa.git $ git push origin master I then made a few changes in my git repo, committed, and pushed to github. Now, I am on a new machine. I want to take upstream SVN changes, merge them with my github repo, and push them to my github repo. This documentation says: "If you ever lose your local copy, just run the import again with the same settings, and you’ll get another working directory with all the necessary SVN metainfo." So I did the following. But none of the commands work as desired. How do I track upstream SVN changes using git-svn and github?   • Can't use attached property on combobox inside hierarchical datatemplate WPF

    I'm hoping to use an attached property to assign a command to the selection changed event of a combobox that is embedded inside a treeview. I'm attempting to set the attached property inside the hierchical data template for the tree but the command is not set and does not fire when the item in the combobox is changed.   • Launching matlab remotely on windows via ssh? Impossible?

    Howdy, I am trying to run matlab remotely on windows via OpenSSH installed with Cygwin, but launching matlab in windows without the GUI seems to be impossible. If i am logged in locally, I can launch matlab -nodesktop -nodisplay -r script, and matlab will launch up a stripped down GUI and do the command. However, this is impossible to do remotely via ssh, as, matlab needs to display the GUI. Does anyone have any suggestions or work arounds? Thanks, Bob

  • Compiling LaTex bib source

    Hi I am writing my thesis in Latex, and I have the references in an own thesis.bib file which look as follows @Article{xxx, author = "D.A. Reinhard", title = "Case Study", year = "1985", } and I reference them in my main document as ~\cite{xxx} When I compile then the main document with: pdflatex main.tex than it shows me question marks instead of the proper references to the bibliography. Do I also need to compile the bib source on its own? If yes, can somebody please tell me the command for Linux Many thanks!

    Hi, I have upgraded my application from grails 1.2.2 to 1.3.1-RC1. While things seem to work when executing grails from command prompt, I cannot make it run from my IDE IntelliJ (last development version). The error I got is: Error executing script RunApp: net/sf/json/JSONException ... Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.sf.json.JSONException It seems that the library json-lib.jar is not in the IntelliJ classpath. Do you know how can I solve this?
