  • Unfamiliar Javascript Syntax

    Long and short of the story is, whilst reading John Resig's blog (specifically http://ejohn.org/blog/javascript-trie-performance-analysis/) I came across a line which makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. Essentially it boils down to object = object[key] = something; (this can be found in the first code block of the article I've linked.) This has proven rather difficult to google, so if anyone can offer some insight / a good online resource for me to learn for myself, I'd much appreciate it.

  • Determine opencore or stagefright framework for mediaplayer?

    I need to determine if a mediaplayer is using the opencore media framework, so that I can disable seeking for my streams. The opencore framework appears to fail silently with seeking, which I am having a hard time believing they allowed into production, but that seems the case nonetheless. I wish it were as simple as determining their SDK version, but droid phones that have api 8 seem to use opencore still, so doesn't seem to be a good option. Any ideas?

    Hi I am wondering how can do a mass insert and bulk copy at the same time? I have 2 tables that should be affect by the bulk copy as they both depend on each other. So I want it that if while inserting table 1 a record dies it gets rolled back and table 2 never gets updated. Also if table 1 inserts good and table 2 an update fails table 1 gets rolled back. Can this be done with bulk copy?

For example, a string OT-{CustomCode}-{Date}-{##} could generate codes OT-C0001-20100420-01 OT-C0001-20100420-02 I thought of using RegExpr.Replace(), but I would have problems if the code of a customer was {##} Any help is welcome!     I completely newbie in device drivers, so I hope my question is in place, but I need to develop a driver to control some equipment. I was thinking on using Linux as the host OS, but not sure if it is such good idea. I've heard some horror stories about the mess of developing device drivers under Linux. Is there a better alternative under the *Nix world? Or maybe should I check other OSes?

    We are going to publish API documentation on our web site. The documentation is generated by Doxygen from sources. The problem is that Doxygen generate weird file names (which is no so good for SEO). For example, for source file RO4_Languages.h Doxygen generate _r_o4___languages_8h.htm. Is it possible to change name of generated files? PS: I know that it possible to change output using 3rd party tools/scripts (awk/sed/perl/etc).

I've already come up with these ideas: Print out the program's input Calculator Generate Prime numbers, Fibonacci series What other interesting programming problems do you have for me to test? It would be good if they required the language to solve a broad spectrum of task, take prime numbers for example: You need variables, increment them, divide them, perform actions under certain conditions, etc.

Have the super class create all the header component and open the components to the sub class, the sub class will access to component's setText method to update the text? or Have abstract method in super class to create the components, sub class will implement these methods to create the component. I've done some googling and found templates for software design at high and low level. The problem is that all of the templates seem to be geared towards a complete system design as opposed to individual components and are consequently overkill.
