• jQuery dialog width resizing problem

  I try to load some HTML code into a jQueryUI dialog by AJAX. The code itself is a list, where rightmost elements should be absolutely positioned so that the list looks like a table with two columns, but only in some rows. The problem is that jQueryUI plugin does not seem to be correctly resizing the dialog's width, which I think is due to the absolute positioning of some li's. I have read some answers to other similar questions, but none helped me out with this.   Hi, I have to define an interface. The API in my homework is stated below: int generate_codes(char * ssn, char * student_id); int denotes 0 or 1 for pass or fail. studentid is an output param should return a 6 digit id. ssn is a 9 digit input param they school program will take ssn's and use my code to generate the student id. now from an API perspective should I not be using const char * for both parameters. should the studentid not be passed in by reference? rather than by pointer? can someone tell me how i can easily use the pointer in my test app which uses my api to get the pointer such that it prints a std::string from a char *? my app code looks something like const char * ssn = "987098765" const char * studnt_id = new char [7]; int value = -1; value = generate_codes(ssn,studnt_id); std::string test(studnt_id); std::cout<<"student id= "<<test<<" Pass/fail= "<<value<<std::endl; delete [] studnt_id; return 0; I basically got an error about << not being compatible with the right hand side of the operand. When i changed the code to std::cout<<"student id= "<<test.c_str()<<" Pass/fail= "<<value<<std::endl; then it worked but i get garbage for the value. not sure how to do get the value form the pointer. THe value inside the function prints just fine. but when i try to print it outside of the function it prints garbage. Inside the above function I do set the studndt_id like so std::string str_studnt_id = studnt_id; should that make the address of the str_studnt point to the address of studnt_id and thus any changes I make to the value that its pointing to it should reflect outside the function?

• Trying to randomise a jQuery content slider

  Hi everyone, I'm using a very nice jQuery content slider called Easy Slider on my site that I downloaded from Css Globe. The script is excellent and does just what I want - except I can't make it randomise the list, it always scrolls from left to right or right to left! I'm far from good with JavaScript, so my attempts at solving this have been feeble. Although I'm sure it must be an easy fix! If anyone wouldn't mind taking a glance over the script to see if they can spot what I need to change to make it random it would be greatly appreciated! I've tried contacting the original plugin developer but have had no response yet. The comments on the Easy Slider page didn't bear much fruit either unfortunately.   I've created an ActiveMQ MessageListener and configured it using Spring. I'm hosting the listener in Tomcat. When I start up the web application (that features only the listener), should the listener automatically start? Or do I need additional configuration? Here's what I have. The query should be: SELECT id, (CASE WHEN transfer_account_id=1 THEN -amount ELSE amount) AS amount FROM transactions WHERE account_id = 1 OR transfer_account_id = 1 My code is: query = Transaction.query.filter_by(account_id=1, transfer_account_id=1) query = query.add_column(func.case(...).label("amount") But it doesn't replace the amount column. Been trying to do this with for hours and I don't want to use raw SQL.

• AutoIncrement in SQLite with Subsonic 3

  This is probably a simple matter, but when I create a new object, the ID property starts off as 0 rather than null. As I understand it, SQLite takes/needs a value of null for the PK column to do the AutoIncrement. So the short question is how to get the ID in the object to start life as null? Thanks cooter

The problem is, if I forget to enter quantity value before I pull product price data or if I change the quantity field later, the final total price is not updated. • Mysql Left Join Null Result

  I have this query SELECT articles.*, users.username AS `user` FROM `articles` LEFT JOIN `users` ON articles.user_id = users.id ORDER BY articles.timestamp Basically it returns the list of articles and the username that the article is associated to. Now if there is no entry in the users table for a particular user id, the users var is NULL. Is there anyway to make it that if its null it returns something like "User Not Found"? or would i have to do this using php?

  Here is my .htaccess file Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteEngine on ErrorDocument 404 /404.php RewriteRule ^(\d*)/(.*) /page.php?id=$1&slug=$2 It all works fine. But the moment I type site.com/342/my-page/ (with the trailing slash) I get a 404. I need the trailing slash as optional. I.e it will redirect to the correct page with or without the slash. I tried this, but it didn't work RewriteRule ^(\d*)/(.*)/?$ /page.php?id=$1&slug=$2 Any ideas?
