  • Combining Content Data in Google Analytics

    When I first start one of my Wordpress blogs, I had the permanent URL for each post include the date of posting. The slug format looked like this: /blog/2010/01/25/this-is-my-article/ Later on, I changed it so that the date was not included in the permanent URL, like this: /blog/this-is-my-article/ and setup a redirect plugin to make sure that users would get to the page they wanted until the site was re-indexed. In Google Analytics, when I review the stats for content I now have multiple records for what is essentially the same page. ie: Top Content List: 45 Pageviews- /blog/this-is-my-article/ 24 Pageviews- /blog/2010/01/25/this-is-my-article/ 33 Pageviews- /blog/some-other-article/ Is there any way to combine those records somehow?

  • Accessing controls of .aspx file in .aspx.cs without any declaration.!!??

    I am able to access the controls of ".aspx" file in ".aspx.cs" directly without any declaration in ".aspx.cs" or in designer.cs. How is this possible? This is happeing only if I open website as using File System. Create a new ASP.NET web site application with Visual Studio 2008. So following three files will be created automatically              "Default.aspx",              "Default.aspx.cs"              "Default.designer.cs" Now Delete "Default.designer.cs" perminently. Just create a button in Default.aspx file    <asp:Button runat="server" Text="Save Plan" ID="btnSave" />   Close the Solution and open the website as File System.               File -> Open Web Site -> File System -> Select Web Site Folder and Open the project.                   Now btnSave is automatically recognized in Default.aspx.cs without any declaration in Default.aspx.cs as bellow                            System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button btnSave; How btnSave is being recognized by .cs file without defining it anywhere as an object of System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button?     Hi, I have a XML file with a few concert dates. In my flash/AS3 file, I would like to show only the up coming event, relative to current date. Like this: Event 01: 30-05-2010 Event 02: 02-06-2010 Event 03: 05-06-2010 Today is 28-05-2010, so I need to list Event 01. On 01-06-2010 I need to list Event 02. I have the basic AS3 code for listing the XML working, but I'm having trouble filtering the result. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Rails gives wrong headers after upgrade 2.3.5 -> 2.3.8

    I just upgraded from rails 2.3.5 to rails 2.3.8, but now my redirects are not working properly. I get the following as the response HTTP Headers: HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Date: Wed, 02 Jun 2010 09:40:39 GMT Content-Length: 93 Content-Type: text/html whereas I got previous: HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Connection: close Date: Wed, 02 Jun 2010 09:41:18 GMT Set-Cookie: _session_id=<correct id>; path=/ Status: 302 Found Location: <correct url> Cache-Control: no-cache Server: Mongrel 1.1.5 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: 93 Anyone knows how to fix this? Despite the fact that the redirect is not working, the login-cookie is not set too (but I think, this is both related somehow). I have already tried to override redirect_to in order to set response.headers['Location'] etc., but they did not appear in the response.

  • How to organize Windows Phone code base to target both 7.x and 8 platforms

    I took over a Windows Phone project which was previously targeting WP 7.1 platform, and with the recent announcement of the new platform it should target WP 8 as well. My VS 2010 solution consists on several projects (Data access, Model, Tests and WP7 client app) and i am wandering on how to include support for WP8. I have to note that the code-base is not compatible with WP8, due to usage of Toolkit controls and other 3rd party libraries targeted for WP7.1 specifically. Also there is another problem with the Visual Studio versions - WP7.1 can work with VS 2010, but WP8 requires VS 2012. Should i move the whole code-base to VS 2012? Any good advice on how to organize code-base in a most meaningful way in order to avoid duplication and possible painful maintenance? I am thinking between one solution - multiple projects vs. multiple solutions - reusable projects approach. Code duplication (like two separate folders/solutions) should be the least possible approach (fallback).

    As in the example, I am trying to substring the Video_full column in a data.frame (video_data_2) I am working on. I want to keep all the characters after the period. The period is always present, there is only one period and it is in a different position in each value for the column. Date Video_full Instances 1 Apr 1, 2010 installs/AA.intro_video_1 546 2 Apr 1, 2010 installs/ABAC.intro_video_2 548 I got substring to work; video_data_2$Video_full <- substring(video_data_2$Video_full,11) And strsplit also; strsplit("installs/AA.intro_video_1 ",'[.]') I'm just not able to figure out how to start the substring in a dynamic position or only keep the second value returned by strsplit.     I have a boost::posix_time::ptime that points to March 31st 2010 like this: ptime p(date(2010, Mar, 31)); I would like to subtract a month (and possibly years) from this date. From the docs I see these two operators: ptime operator-(time_duration) and ptime operator-(days) but none of them can work with months/years. If I try and do: time_duration duration = hours(24 * 30); ptime pp = p - duration; I'm getting March 1st and if I'm trying: ptime pp = p - days(30); I'm still getting March 1st, while I'd like to get February 28th. How can I achieve my desired result? (I would like to get the desired result also when subtracting a month from March 28, 29, 30)

    Arrrg!I am running into what i feel is a dumb issue with a simple script i'm writing in powershell. I am invoking a sql command that is calling a stored proc, with the results i put it a array.     I've run into a spot of bother with date formats in our Rails application. I have a date field in our view which I want to be formatted as dd/mm/yy. This is how the user will expect to enter their dates, and the datepicker control uses this format. However, Active Record seems to be expecting mm/dd/yy. If I enter 01/03/2010, this gets put in as 03 January 2010. If I enter 25/03/2010, this gets put in a null. How do I get ActiveRecord to expect Her Majesties date format?

  • How do you know how much space an NSString (using default font) will occupy on a UITableView section

    Basically I want to copy the behavior in iPhone's Calendar where the day of week (Mon, Tue, Wed) is on the left side of the table's section header (left justified) while the formatted date (Apr 1, 2010, May 1, 2010) based on locale is on the right side of the table's section header (right justified). I was thinking of inserting a variable amount of space in between the day of week and formatted date but I first need to know the actual space consumed by the text on both sides to figure out how much space to add.   • sound cuts out at random times

    Since I updated to 14.04, I have been having a problem with my sound. Every once in a while it "skips a beat." and when I say every once in a while, I mean 2-4 times a minute. It's literally that the sounds goes a way for about half a second. It doesn't pick up where it left off, but rather continues from where it should be...if that makes sense. So, if it cut in mid word, I wouldn't hear the end of the word. I didn't have this problem before I updated from 12.04. There is no popping or static, it just cuts for a fraction of a second. Any thoughts? Thanks!

    I'm running dozens of map reduce jobs for a number of different purposes using disco. My data has grown enormous and I thought I would try using DDFS for a change rather than standard txt files. I've followed the DISCO map/reduce example Counting Words as a map/reduce job, without to much difficulty and with the help of others, Reading JSON specific data into DISCO I've gotten past one of my latest problems. I'm trying to read data in/out of ddfs to better chunk and distribute it but am having a bit of trouble.   • Dual head setup for Ubuntu 10.04.1 and Windows XP Pro with same hardware configuration

    Hello. I have a Dell OptiPlex 360 workstation at work, with 2 x ATI RV280 [Radeon 9200 PRO] graphics cards installed, which are attached to two identical 19" HII flat panel monitors. I'm using the open source Radeon driver with Ubuntu, and the proprietary drivers with Windows. The good news is that dual head configuration works for both OSes. The bad news is, I have to use a different hardware configuration for each OS to achieve this. Hardware config #1: Dual monitors work for Windows XP Pro like this: First display -> external VGA port Second display -> DVI input on gfx card Hardware config #2: Dual monitors work for Ubuntu 10.04.1 like this: First display -> VGA port on gfx card Second display -> DVI input on gfx card I connected up the displays according to Config #2 and booted up Windows, which resulted in a mirror image on both screens. I was unable to login, as the login box was not visible. I unplugged the VGA lead from gfx card and plugged it into the external VGA port (Config #1) - Windows dual head works again, but the VGA-connected screen is not recognised by Ubuntu and remains in standby mode. Is it possible to configure a dual head setup for Ubuntu using Config #1, or am I missing something? I tried setting up dual monitors using Config #1, this morning which didn't work.   • Windows: what is the difference between DEP always on and DEP opt-out with no exceptions?

    What is the difference between DEP always on ("/NoExecute=AlwaysOn" in boot.ini) and DEP opt-out ( "/NoExecute=OptOut" in boot.ini) with no exceptions? "no exceptions" = empty list of programs for which DEP does not apply. DEP = Data Execution Prevention (hardware). One would expect it to work the same way, but it makes a difference for some applications. E.g. for all versions of UltraEdit 14 (14.2). It crashes at startup for DEP always on, at least on Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition x64 edition. (2010-03-11: this problem has been fixed with UltraEdit 15.2 and later.) Update 1: I think this difference is caused by the backdoors that Microsoft has put into hardware DEP for OptOut, according to Fabrice Roux (see below). In the case of IrfanView, for which Steve Gibson observed the same difference as I did for UltraEdit (see below), the difference is caused by a non-DEP aware EXE packer (ASPack) that Microsoft coded a backdoor for. Is there a difference between Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 ? Is there a difference between 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows ?
