  • Base 128 or 256 Encoding for the Binary Lexical Octet Adhoc Transport Protocol?

    - by Randolpho
I'm in the process of implementing a network driver for the Binary Lexical Octet Adhoc Transport (BLOAT) protocols in the hopes of replacing the TCP/UDP/IP stack with a much more flexible XML structure. BLOAT is detailed in RFC 3252, so if you're unfamiliar with the protocol I highly recommend you read the entire RFC before providing any comments. Don't worry, it's short and sweet; you might even enjoy it. Anyway, my problem is this: BLOAT requires that the payload be Base64 encoded which doesn't make sense to me. I mean, sure, it's the internet standard for binary payloads, but there are better, more efficient encodings available: Base128 and Base256, for example. That the RFC requires Base64 and doesn't allow for any other payload encoding really bothers me. To that end, I'm considering a small optional change to the protocol. Embrace and extend, right? Anyway, I'd like to modify the payload element to accept an encoding attribute, which can extend the encoding to Base128 or Base256, or even to other encodings I can't conceive of at the moment. If the encoding attribute isn't present, Base64 would be assumed. So my question is this: should I? I mean, BLOAT is an accepted standard, even if it isn't exactly omnipresent. If I make this change, will there be compatibility issues? I don't foresee any, but perhaps you, oh great Stack Overflow Community, can? If I do implement this change, should I contact the original RFC author? Should I offer a supplemental RFC?

  • dynamic layout change during runtime

    - by Nils
    Hello, for an application I need to place some objects at the exact position that I want to have them and therefore I need to use AbsoluteLayout this time. I want to add buttons dynamically exactly like in the following XML - but during runtime. <AbsoluteLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <Button android:id="@+id/backbutton" android:text="TEST123" android:layout_x="120px" android:layout_y="120px" android:layout_width="100px" android:layout_height="100px" /> </AbsoluteLayout> How can I archive this? I tried it with the following code to add a button, but I haven't found a function so far to set layout_x and layout_y. How can I do this? Thanks. AbsoluteLayout al = new AbsoluteLayout(this); Button t = new Button(this); t.setHeight(300); t.setWidth(300); t.setText("TEST123"); // x y ??? setContentView(al);

  • Response.TransmitFile and delete it after transmission

    - by Radhi
Hi, i have to implement GEDCOM export in my site. my .net code created one file at server when export to gedcom clicked. then i need to download it to client from server as well as user should be asked to where to save that file means savedialog is required. after its downloaded. i want to delete that file from server. i got one code to transmit file from server to client Response.ContentType = "text/xml"; Response.AppendHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=" + FileName); Response.TransmitFile(Server.MapPath("~/" + FileName)); Response.End(); from this LINK but i am not able to delete the file after this code as Response.End ends response so whtever code written after that line is not execute. if i do code to delete file before Response.End(); then file does not transmitted and got error. so, please can anybody provide me any solution for this. -Thanks in advance

  • Cookies not present after using XMLHttpRequest

    - by Joe B
I'm trying to make a bookmarklet to download videos off of YouTube, but I've come across a little problem. To detect the highest quality video available, I use a sort of brute force method, in which I make requests using the XMLHttpRequest object until a 404 isn't returned (I can't do it until a 200 ok is returned because YouTube redirects to a different server if the video is available, and the cross-domain policy won't allow me to access any of that data). Once a working URL is found, I simply set window.location to the URL and the download should start, right? Wrong. A request is made, but for reasons unknown to me, the cookies are stripped and YouTube returns a 403 access denied. This does not happen if the XML requests aren't made before it, i.e. if I just set the window.location to the URL everything works fine, it's when I do the XMLHttpRequest that the cookies aren't sent. It's hard to explain so here's the script: var formats = ["37", "22", "35", "34", "18", ""]; var url = "/get_video?video_id=" + yt.getConfig('SWF_ARGS')['video_id'] + "&t=" + (unescape(yt.getConfig('SWF_ARGS')['t'])) + "&fmt="; for (var i = 0; i < formats.length; i++) { xmlhttp = new XMLHttpRequest; xmlhttp.open("HEAD", url + formats[i], false); xmlhttp.send(null); if (xmlhttp.status != 404) { document.location = url + formats[i]; break } } That script does not send the cookies after setting the document.location and thus does not work. However, simply doing this: document.location = /get_video?video_id=" + yt.getConfig('SWF_ARGS')['video_id'] + "&t=" + (unescape(yt.getConfig('SWF_ARGS')['t'])) DOES send the cookies along with the request, and does work. The only downside is I can't automatically detect the highest quality, I just have to try every "fmt" parameter manually until I get it right. So my question is: why is the XMLHttpRequest object removing cookies from subsequent requests? This is the first time I've ever done anything in JS by the way, so please, go easy on me. ;)

  • Encrypt/Decrypt ECB/PKS5/Blowfish between AS3Crypto & Javax.Crypto fails with padding error

    - by BlueDude
    I have a secret key that was sent to me as a file so I can encrypt some xml data using Blowfish. How do I access the key so that I can use it with AS3Crypto? I assume I need to Embed it using the [Embed] meta tag. It's mimeType="application/octet-stream" but I'm not sure if thats right. How do I embed, then reference this file as the secret key? The xmls that I'm encrypting cannot be decrypted on the Java side. Each attempt fails with this exception: javax.crypto.BadPaddingException: Given final block not properly padded. As a bonus, if anyone has experience using the lib to work with the Java implementation and knows the ideal mode/padding/IV to use that would be awesome. Thanks! //keyFile is an embedded asset. I was given a file to use as the key var kdata:ByteArray = new keyFile() as ByteArray; //Convert orderXML to Base64 var orderData:ByteArray = Base64.decodeToByteArray(String(orderXML)); //Cipher name var cname:String = "simple-blowfish-ecb"; var pad:IPad = new PKCS5; var mode:ICipher = Crypto.getCipher(cname, kdata, pad); //not sure if this is necessary. seems to be also set in mode pad.setBlockSize(mode.getBlockSize()); mode.encrypt(orderData); var transmitXML:String = Base64.encodeByteArray(orderData); //DEBUG: Output to TextArea storePanel.statusBox.text += "\n--TRANSMIT--\n"+transmitXML;

  • Creating a WCF ServiceHost object takes three to four minutes on some PCs

    - by Steve
Hello, I have created a WCF service which does not use the app.config to configure itself. However, it takes three to four minutes on some PCs to construct the ServiceHost object. Thinking there was something wrong with my service, I constructed a simple Hello, World service and tried it with that. I have the same issue. According to the profiler, all this time is spent reading in configuration for the service. So I have two questions really. Is it possible to disable reading config from the XML? More importantly, does anyone have any idea why this might be taking such an inordinate amount of time? Here is the sample service: [ServiceContract] public interface IMyService { [OperationContract] string GetString(); } [ServiceBehavior(InstanceContextMode=InstanceContextMode.Single)] public class MyService : IMyService { public string GetString() { return "Hello, world!"; } } class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { Uri epAddress = new Uri("http://localhost:8731/Test"); Uri[] uris = new Uri[] { epAddress }; MyService srv = new MyService(); ServiceHost host = new ServiceHost(srv, uris); // this line takes 3-4 minutes host.AddServiceEndpoint(typeof(IMyService), new WSHttpBinding(), "Test"); ServiceMetadataBehavior smb = new ServiceMetadataBehavior(); smb.HttpGetEnabled = true; host.Description.Behaviors.Add(smb); host.Open(); return; } } I need for design reasons to create the service and pass it in as an object, rather than passing it in as a type. If there's any more information that can be of use, please let me know. Many thanks.

  • Reading multiple instances of a tag or element using XSLT

    - by shashank saket
My RDF xml file is something like this.. <rdf:RDF> <rdf:Description rdf:about="........"> <j.0:property rdf:resource="....."/> <j.0:property rdf:resource=....."/> <j.0:property rdf:resource="........"/> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF> Now in my XSLT stylesheet I need to retrieve the values of all the j.0:property tags. I am using something like this: <xsl:apply-templates select="j.0:property"/> <xsl:template match="j.0:property"> <xsl:text><xsl:value-of select="/rdf:RDF/rdf:Description/j.0:propert /@rdf:resource"/></xsl:text> </xsl:template> But then it returns the same value 3 times. The value being the value of the first property encountered. Kindly help as to how I can get the value for each property.

  • NSXMLParser: how do I wait until loading has finished?

    - by Archagon
Let's say I'm using NSXMLParser to load a level (stored as an XML document, obviously) into my iPhone game. NSXMLParser works by assigning a delegate and sending it messages at key moments. How do I ensure that my entire level is loaded before doing anything else? I know I can make my main class the delegate and implement parserDidEndDocument, but this feels very hacky. My main class shouldn't have to know anything about the way the parsing is done! On the other hand, if I make a separate class/delegate for parsing my level, my main class has no way of knowing when the parsing is finished, unless it queries the parsing class continuously or the parsing class sends it a message. Either way, the main class would be tied to the implementation of the parsing class. Can I hide all this event-driven business from the main class and simply make the parser return the level object when it's done? (i.e., newLevel = [[GameLevel alloc] initFromXML:xmlfile], which would in turn use NSXMLParser to load the level and then somehow return when finished.) At the moment, I'm using an external DOM parser, but I'm curious how this would be done with NSXMLParser. Sorry if this is a stupid question -- I'm a bit new to this!

  • Can xjc -version be trusted?

    - by JasonPlutext
I've spent the day debugging an issue with JAXB getting namespaces wrong or missing (possibly related to Marshaller.JAXB_FRAGMENT, but that's not the point here). I found the problem occurs with JAXB RI 2.1.10 in my endorsed dir. It is fixed if I use JAXB RI 2.2.4 or 2.2.6 Here is what is really confusing (and what made it take so long). The problem occurs on Linux with: $ java -version java version "1.7.0_03" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea7 2.1.1pre) (7~u3-2.1.1~pre1-1ubuntu2) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 22.0-b10, mixed mode) $ xjc -version xjc 2.2.4 but it should work fine, if this java really uses JAXB RI 2.2.4 !! Similarly, I can't reproduce the issue on Windows with Java 1.6.0_27, which reports: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_27\bin>java -version java version "1.6.0_27" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_27-b07) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.2-b06, mixed mode) C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_27\bin>xjc -version xjc version "JAXB 2.1.10 in JDK 6" JavaTM Architecture for XML Binding(JAXB) Reference Implementation, (build JAXB 2.1.10 in JDK 6) and yet if I put 2.1.10 RI in my endorsed dir, the problem occurs. It should occur with 1.6.0_27, if that really uses JAXB RI 2.1.10. It seems to me that the problem I'm experiencing has been fixed in the reference implementation somewhere after 2.1.10 and before 2.2.4, but that neither of the 2 VM's above actually use the JAXB version they claim to. Or possibly they use the xjc they claim, but not what is in jaxb-api.jar and jaxb-impl.jar (I know there is a difference in the namespace prefix mapper property, but that won't be causing this problem). I've done these experiments on Win 7 and Ubuntu, in tomcat (no eclipse), and in eclipse (no tomcat), so I'm pretty confident I'm explaining my findings correctly. Can anyone provide any insight into what is happening? If I'm right, does anyone know what versions of JAXB the various Sun/Oracle JDKs really use?

  • How to separate ear classloader and system classloader in JBoss 6?

    - by dskiles
I'm trying to upgrade from JBoss 4.2.1 to JBoss 6. In JBoss 4.2.1, we are manually deploying our application as an exploded war and everything works beautifully. I'm running into problems because the application that I am trying to deploy uses versions of 3rd party libraries that are older than the ones that JBoss 6 now includes by default. The result of this is that I'm getting classloader conflicts all over the place and the application won't even start. At present, I have tried using the JBoss Classloading Documentation as well as the scanty bits of documentation for jboss-classloading.xml and haven't had any success. Has anyone out there managed to do this successfully? If you have, how did you do it? I've included a stack trace below in case it offers any useful information. Caused by: java.lang.Error: Error visiting "/C:/jboss6/server/default/deploy/app.war/WEB-INF/lib/jaxb-xjc-2.1.12.jar/1.0/com/sun/codemodel/JConditional.class" at org.jboss.classloading.plugins.vfs.VFSResourceVisitor.visit(VFSResourceVisitor.java:268) [jboss-classloading-vfs.jar:2.2.0.Alpha9] at org.jboss.vfs.VirtualFile.visit(VirtualFile.java:407) [jboss-vfs.jar:3.0.0.CR5] at org.jboss.vfs.VirtualFile.visit(VirtualFile.java:409) [jboss-vfs.jar:3.0.0.CR5] at org.jboss.vfs.VirtualFile.visit(VirtualFile.java:409) [jboss-vfs.jar:3.0.0.CR5] at org.jboss.vfs.VirtualFile.visit(VirtualFile.java:409) [jboss-vfs.jar:3.0.0.CR5] at org.jboss.vfs.VirtualFile.visit(VirtualFile.java:409) [jboss-vfs.jar:3.0.0.CR5] at org.jboss.vfs.VirtualFile.visit(VirtualFile.java:395) [jboss-vfs.jar:3.0.0.CR5] at org.jboss.classloading.plugins.vfs.VFSResourceVisitor.visit(VFSResourceVisitor.java:102) [jboss-classloading-vfs.jar:2.2.0.Alpha9] at org.jboss.deployers.vfs.plugins.classloader.VFSDeploymentClassLoaderPolicyModule.visit(VFSDeploymentClassLoaderPolicyModule.java:181) [:2.2.0.Alpha8] at org.jboss.scanning.plugins.DeploymentUnitScanner.scan(DeploymentUnitScanner.java:111) [:1.0.0.Alpha7] at org.jboss.scanning.spi.helpers.UrlScanner.scan(UrlScanner.java:96) [:1.0.0.Alpha7] at org.jboss.scanning.deployers.ScanningDeployer.deploy(ScanningDeployer.java:90) [:1.0.0.Alpha7] at org.jboss.deployers.plugins.deployers.DeployerWrapper.deploy(DeployerWrapper.java:179) [:2.2.0.Alpha8] ... 41 more

  • How to produce an HTTP 403-equivalent WCF Message from an IErrorHandler?

    - by Andras Zoltan
I want to write an IErrorHandler implementation that will handle AuthenticationException instances (a proprietary type), and then in the implementation of ProvideFault provide a traditional Http Response with a status code of 403 as the fault message. So far I have my first best guess wired into a service, but WCF appears to be ignoring the output message completely, even though the error handler is being called. At the moment, the code looks like this: public class AuthWeb403ErrorHandler : IErrorHandler { #region IErrorHandler Members public bool HandleError(Exception error) { return error is AuthenticationException; } public void ProvideFault(Exception error, MessageVersion version, ref Message fault) { //first attempt - just a stab in the dark, really HttpResponseMessageProperty property = new HttpResponseMessageProperty(); property.SuppressEntityBody = true; property.StatusCode = System.Net.HttpStatusCode.Forbidden; property.StatusDescription = "Forbidden"; var m = Message.CreateMessage(version, null); m.Properties[HttpResponseMessageProperty.Name] = property; fault = m; } #endregion } With this in place, I just get the standard WCF html 'The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details.' - which is what would happen if there was no IErrorHandler. Is this a feature of the behaviours added by WebServiceHost? Or is it because the message I'm building is simply wrong!? I can verify that the event log is indeed not receiving anything. My current test environment is a WebGet method (both XML and Json) hosted in a service that is created with the WebServiceHostFactory, and Asp.Net compatibility switched off. The service method simply throws the exception in question.

  • ASP.NET page content doesn't change

    - by WtFudgE
Hi, I created an application which has a menu where it's items are created dynamicly. The menu acts as a language menu. <body runat="server"> <form id="Form1" runat="server"> <table class="TableLayout"> <tr> <td class="TopNav" align="right"> <asp:Menu runat="server" ID="LanguageMenu" Orientation="Horizontal" OnMenuItemClick="LanguageMenu_MenuItemClick"> <LevelMenuItemStyles> <asp:MenuItemStyle CssClass="TopNavItem" /> </LevelMenuItemStyles> <StaticHoverStyle CssClass="TopNavItemHover" /> </asp:Menu> </td> </tr> ... I use session variables to set my current language. however if I click on the menu to change the session variable: public void LanguageMenu_MenuItemClick(Object sender, MenuEventArgs e) { Session["language"] = e.Item.Text; } The page reloads with the following code: sportsPath = String.Format(@"{0}{1}\Sports\", xmlPath, Session["language"]); //create LeftNavigation string[] sports = Directory.GetFiles(sportsPath); LeftNavigation.Items.Clear(); foreach (string sport in sports) { string text = sport.Replace(sportsPath, "").Replace(".xml", ""); MenuItem item = new MenuItem(); item.Text = text; LeftNavigation.Items.Add(item); } The thing is the content doesn't change, only after I click on something else. If I skip through my code after clicking on the menuItem I can see that it passes the code and it should change, however for some reason the page needs another extra trigger to modify it's content. I also see the page reloading so I don't understand why it's not changing immediatly. I guess I'm not understanding the asp.net logic just quite yet. What am I doing wrong?

  • KeepAlive packets over a Soap request

    - by Nycto
I've been debugging some Soap requests we are making between two servers on the same VLAN. The app on one server is written in PHP, the app on the other is written in Java. I can control and make changes to the PHP code, but I can't affect the Java server. The PHP app forms the XML using the DOMDocument objects, then sends the request using the cURL extension. When the soap request took longer than 5 minutes to complete, it would always wait until the max timeout limit and exit with a message like this: Operation timed out after 900000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received After sniffing the packets that were being sent, it turns out that the problem was caused by a 5 minute timeout in the network that was closing what it thought was a stale connection. There were two ways to fix it: bump up the timeout in iptables, or start sending KeepAlive packets over the request. To be thorough, I would like to implement both solutions. Bumping up the timeout was easy for ops to do, but sending KeepAlive packets is turning out to be difficult. The cURL library itself supports this (see the --keepalive-time flag for the CLI app), but it doesn't appear that this has been implemented in the PHP cURL library. I even checked the source to make sure it wasn't an undocumented feature. So my question is this: How the heck can I get these packets sent? I see a few clear options, but I don't like any of them: Write a wrapper that will kick off the request by shell_execing the CLI app. This is a hack that I just don't like Update the cURL extension to support this. This is a non-option according to Ops. Open the socket myself. I know just enough to be dangerous. I also haven't seen a way to do this with fsockopen, but I could be missing something. Switch to another library. What exists that supports this? Thanks for any help you can offer.

  • 'pip install carbon' looks like it works, but pip disagrees afterward

    - by fennec
I'm trying to use pip to install the package carbon, a package related to statistics collection. When I run pip install carbon, it looks like everything works. However, pip is unconvinced that the package is actually installed. (This ultimately causes trouble because I'm using Puppet, and have a rule to install carbon using pip, and when puppet asks pip "is this package installed?" it says "no" and it reinstalls it again.) How do I figure out what's preventing pip from recognizing the success of this installation? • cryptic error message: Length of Bind host variable exceeds MaxLength

  • extjs - 'Store is undefined'

    - by Jamie
Hi all, I'm pretty sure this a trivial problem and i'm just being a bit stupid. Your help would be hugely appreciated. In controls/dashboard.js I have: Ext.ill.WCSS.controls.dashboard = { xtype:'portal', region:'center', margins:'35 5 5 0', items:[{ columnWidth: 1, style:'padding:10px', items:[{ title: 'My Cluster Jobs', layout:'fit', html: "test" }] },{ columnWidth: 1, style:'padding:10px', items:[{ title: 'All Cluster Jobs', iconCls: 'icon-queue', html: "test", items: new Ext.grid.GridPanel({ title: 'Cluster Job Queue', store: Ext.ill.WCSS.stores.dashboardClusterJobs, width: 791, height: 333, frame: true, loadMask: true, stateful: false, autoHeight: true, stripeRows: true, floating: false, footer: false, collapsible: false, animCollapse: false, titleCollapse: false, columns:[ { xtype: 'gridcolumn', header: 'Job ID', sortable: true, resizable: true, width: 100, dataIndex: 'JB_job_number', fixed: false }, { xtype: 'gridcolumn', header: 'Priority', sortable: true, resizable: true, width: 100, dataIndex: 'JAT_prio', fixed: false }, { xtype: 'gridcolumn', header: 'User', sortable: true, resizable: true, width: 100, dataIndex: 'JB_owner' }, { xtype: 'gridcolumn', header: 'State', sortable: true, resizable: true, width: 100, dataIndex: 'state' }, { xtype: 'gridcolumn', header: 'Date Submitted', sortable: true, resizable: true, width: 100, dataIndex: 'JAT_start_time' }, { xtype: 'gridcolumn', header: 'Queue', sortable: true, resizable: true, width: 100, dataIndex: 'queue_name' }, { xtype: 'gridcolumn', header: 'CPUs', sortable: true, resizable: true, width: 100, dataIndex: 'slots' } ], bbar: { xtype: 'paging', store: 'storeClusterQueue', displayInfo: true, refreshText: 'Retrieving queue status...', emptyMsg: 'No jobs to retrieve', id: 'clusterQueuePaging' } }) }] }] }; Simple enough, note the reference to 'Ext.ill.WCSS.stores.dashboardClusterJobs' So in stores/dashboard.js I just have this: Ext.ill.WCSS.stores.dashboardClusterJobs = new Ext.data.XmlStore({ storeId: 'storeClusterJobs', record: 'job_list', autoLoad: true, url: 'joblist.xml', idPath: 'job_info', remoteSort: false, fields: [ { name: 'JB_job_number' }, { name: 'JAT_prio' }, { name: 'JB_name' }, { name: 'JB_owner' }, { name: 'state' }, { name: 'JAT_start_time' }, { name: 'slots' }, { name: 'queue_name' } ] }); I run the code and I get 'store is undefined' :S It's confusing me a lot. All of the javascripts have been included in the correct order. i.e. <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/portal.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/stores/dashboard.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/js/controls/dashboard.js"></script> Thanks guys!

  • How To Publish Business Objects Query Service

    - by ssorrrell
We are trying to copy a BO Query Service from one Universe to another. If you use the BO Query As A Service(QAAS) tool you can do this, but end up basically recreating the query service. It seems like the BusinessObjects.DSWS.* libraries allow you to read and write query services, but those don't appear in the QAAS tool. I think that those queries go into a different Universe than the QAAS tool pings. Perhaps there is a Universe for data and another for Web Service Queries. Monitoring the QAAS tool for HTTP traffic revealed that the BO Web Service used to run queries for the data they contain is also used to manage the Web Service queries. I was able to copy one Query Service into a new one in a new Universe using a Replace() on the XML string in QuerySpec to change the UniverseID. We can basically copy one Query Service to another Universe without manually rebuilding it except for one little thing. The QAAS tool includes a Publish button. This does something unknown, but important. Perhaps it makes some SOAP, WSDL or config files so that the copied Query Service is public. There doesn't seem to be any HTTP traffic to snoop on when it's doing this. The BusinessObjects.DSWS.* libraries include a Publish feature, but it's not for Query Services. It's for general files like Excel and PDF. Right now, we are relegated to using two tools. Does anyone know about how to Publish a BO Query Service programmatically just like the QAAS Tool?

  • SQL Server PIVOT with multiple X-axis columns

    - by HeavenCore
    Take the following example data: Payroll Forname Surname Month Year Amount 0000001 James Bond 3 2011 144.00 0000001 James Bond 6 2012 672.00 0000001 James Bond 7 2012 240.00 0000001 James Bond 8 2012 1744.50 0000002 Elvis Presley 3 2011 1491.00 0000002 Elvis Presley 6 2012 189.00 0000002 Elvis Presley 7 2012 1816.50 0000002 Elvis Presley 8 2012 1383.00 How would i PIVOT this on the Year + Month (eg: 201210) but preserve Payroll, Forename & Surname as seperate columns, for example, the above would become: Payroll Forename Surname 201103 201206 201207 201208 0000001 James Bond 144.00 672.00 240.00 1744.50 0000002 Elvis Presley 1491.00 189.00 1816.50 1383.00 I'm assuming that because the Year + Month names can change then i will need to employ dynamic SQL + PIVOT - i had a go but couldnt even get the code to parse, nevermind run - any help would be most appreciated! Edit: What i have so far: INSERT INTO #tbl_RawDateBuffer ( PayrollNumber , Surname , Forename , [Month] , [Year] , AmountPayable ) SELECT PayrollNumber , Surname , Forename , [Month] , [Year] , AmountPayable FROM RawData WHERE [Max] > 1500 DECLARE @Columns AS NVARCHAR(MAX) DECLARE @StrSQL AS NVARCHAR(MAX) SET @Columns = STUFF((SELECT DISTINCT ',' + QUOTENAME(CONVERT(VARCHAR(4), c.[Year]) + RIGHT('00' + CONVERT(VARCHAR(2), c.[Month]), 2)) FROM #tbl_RawDateBuffer c FOR XML PATH('') , TYPE ).value('.', 'NVARCHAR(MAX)'), 1, 1, '') SET @StrSQL = 'SELECT PayrollNumber, ' + @Columns + ' from ( select PayrollNumber , CONVERT(VARCHAR(4), [Year]) + RIGHT(''00'' + CONVERT(VARCHAR(2), [Month]), 2) dt from #tbl_RawDateBuffer ) x pivot ( sum(AmountPayable) for dt in (' + @Columns + ') ) p ' EXECUTE(@StrSQL) DROP TABLE #tbl_RawDateBuffer

  • Detecting which MCUs to connect on an incoming conference

    - by Fábio Batista
Hello, SO. I'm working with the OCS UCCAPI, developing a custom OCS client. I'm currently having a hard time detecting what "kind" of Conference my client is being invited to. Using the Office Communicator client, I can start "IM conferences" (by inviting more than 1 person and selecting "start a IM conversation") or "video conferences" (by selecting more than 1 person and selecting "start a video call"). The Office Communicator client, on the invitees' end, starts correctly the appropriate session (just IM, just Video or IM+Video). However, when receiving the conference invite on my custom client, there's no data about the kind of session I'm being invited. I need this information, in order to make a decision whether or not to connect to the AV MCU and capture/show video. I've tried already: When handling _IUccSessionManagerEvents.OnIncomingSession, parse the RemoteSessionDescription property on the UccIncomingInvitationEvent object: no luck, the only data about the conference modality is an element on the XML about the IM being enabled or not (<im available="true"> or <im available="false">), but nothing about the session having video available or not. When handling _IUccConferenceSessionEvents.OnEnter, check the Media property on the UccConferenceSession. Don't work, all media types are present (MESSAGE, AUDIO, VIDEO, DATA e TELEPHONY), regardless of the type of conference I'm being invited. Also when handling _IUccConferenceSessionEvents.OnEnter, check the Entities collection on the UccConferenceView object, to check which MCUs are enabled for this conference. Don't work either, all MUCs are listed as available (IM, AV, DATA and CONTROL), regardless of the type of conference I'm being invited. I'm running out of ideas. Some references I'm using: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb664307.aspx http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd170830.aspx Thanks a lot.

  • DDMS won't load (or doesn't parse?) KML file

    - by nderraugh
I can't get DDMS to load any KML files. I have a KML file for example with the following in it: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <kml xmlns="http://www.opengis.net/kml/2.2"> <Placemark> <name>Simple placemark</name> <description>Attached to the ground. Intelligently places itself at the height of the underlying terrain.</description> <Point> <coordinates>-122.0822035425683,37.42228990140251,0</coordinates> </Point> </Placemark> </kml> The docs at http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/tools/ddms.html seem to indicate that I only need to launch my app and fire up DDMS and load the KML. That doesn't work. I even tried the Google Earth solution suggested at the same link. I'm using SDK 1.5_r2. I am doing something wrong or missing something?
