  If I want to inject a globally scoped array variable into a page's client-side javascript during a full page postback, I can use: this.Page.ClientScript.RegisterArrayDeclaration("WorkCalendar", "\"" + date.ToShortDateString() + "\""); to declare and populate a client-side javascript array on the page. Nice and simple. But I want to do the same from a async postback from an UpdatePanel. The closest I can figure so far is to create a .js file that just contains the var declaration, update the file during the async postback, and then use a ScriptManagerProxy.Scripts.Add to add the .js file to the page's global scope. Is there anything simpler? r iz doin it wrong?

The conflict occurred in database 'KN_online', table 'ACCOUNT_CHAR', column 'strAccountID'., 261 NationSelect*** this error in logs. what does this means? how can i fix this? i've tried to delete RULE for my DB but I'm unable to delete RULE. im getting the rule 'dbo.unallowedchars' cannot be dropped because it is bounded to one or more clumn.   So I have a uipicker view, that I have managed to load some data from my db into. I would like to update a textview, which is right above the pickerview, with each changing of the row. Is that possible? If I don't have to, I would like to avoid pushing a button in order to show the respective text. Can I make it so that the value in the text field changes with the value of the rowselected in the pickerview, in real time? Any thoughts or code snippets would be appreciated. Thanks!

  In SharePoint, when an item is first added to a document library, it fires the ItemAdded and ItemAdding events as expected. And if you upload the same filename to update the existing file, it will fire off ItemUpdated and ItemUpdating events, likewise as expected. However, I have been unsuccessful at determining whether this kind of action has actually occurred or not. Or, more specifically, I am entirely unable to differentiate between the following: An item is updated because someone uploaded a new file but did nothing to any of the form fields. An item is updated because someone hit "OK" but did nothing to any of the form fields. Is there actually a way to distinguish these kinds of updates? There appears to be nothing in event properties that contains this information, nor in the version history for both the list item and the file itself. I have even tried comparing the files themselves via OpenBinary(), but in both mentioned cases I still get the same result. Thank you in advance for any help!

• Is is better to store serialized data or raw html in mysql?

  I de-normalized my database, since the application was crawling otherwise, and Im storing a list of categories for each item in the DB as a raw html version, and simply echoing it out in my design. Each category is actually a link, which is include a tag. Naturally, this is abit of a pain, especially if I want to change the look of how the category links are displayed, since I gotta update all the old cached entries. What if I were to store this data as a serialized array instead, and simply unserialize it, and then apply formatting to it in php. Would there be a significant performance decrease over simply echoing out the raw html?

  With the Debugging Tools for Windows you can run SSIndex.cmd against your symbol files and it will embed the command to retrieve each source code file from the TF server. We have a bunch of indexed files and recently our IT migrated our TFS 2008 installation to TFS 2010 and in the process changed the server name. Question is, how can I update all these symbol files to point to the new server? I thought SSindex used an alternate data stream named 'srcsrv' but SysInternals' streams.exe shows nothing on these symbol files even though srctool.exe shows the data.

Also, when the instructions in the condition is executed, nothing changes. What am I doing wrong? Maybe this is a very easy issue, but I'm a begginer in MS Visual Web Developer.

I had built these earlier, before I knew that UI should not be updated on any thread other than the UI thread. Now I am confused as to why it does not throw cross-thread exceptions when I am updating UI on these separate threading.timer threads? Ideally i would want to check if a page contained Kit Option form fields and then add 25 to the box. Any ideas on how to check for a span and then update the quantity. But the quantity shouldnt be forced, so if the user wants 6 items they should be able to add that figure.

So, i have a coredata iphone app (much like the recipes app) that uses a pre-populated sql database. The user can add/edit his own data but the default data cannot be deleted. the useres data are ALL saved in the same sql database. QUESTION: what do i have to do in order to: - update some (not all) of the default data that are stored in the sql database without "touching" the user's data? (the model will stay the same - no new entities etc-) (if the user uninstall the app and then reinstall the new version everything will be ok but i dont want to do this, obviously). can someone PLEASE help in coding level?

  I have been trying to resolve my issue of spiking cpu caused by php-fpm processes. I've reduced the php-fpm config settings to: pm = ondemand pm.max_children = 12 pm.start_servers = 2 pm.min_spare_servers = 2 pm.max_spare_servers = 10 pm.max_requests = 500 php_admin_value[memory_limit] = 128M Problem still exists. I'm running a Joomla main site (which is having no problems) and a Magento store in a sub-directory. My server is a Linux CentOS, running NGINX, APC, Memcached, Full Page Cache and php-fpm. My server has 8 cores and 16gb dedicated ram. My host has shut down my server several times the past week because my php-fpm processes are consuming the entire network. A lot of the individual php-fpm processes are getting over 50% cpu. I've hired several "professionals" and none of them was able to help me, so now broke and stumped, I'm turning to you guys for help. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. the server is not using much memory: Mem: 16777216k total, 1204040k used, 15573176k free My.conf settings: query_cache_size = 128M innodb_buffer_pool_size = 512M open-files-limit = 8192 table_cache=4096 I just noticed that someone changed my innodb_buffer_pool_size to 512M. Shouldn't this be set to 80% of available ram? So I have 16gb ram so it should be set at 12G; however, I set it at 10G. What do you think? I made that change and restart everything. Php-fpm is still spiking cpu. Here is just 1 php-fpm process: 23942 user 17 0 507m 99m 27m R 90.9%CPU 0.6 0:03.46 php-fpm I'm sure there may be more information you will need to help, so just let me know what you guys need to help me figure this out. • Apache2, FastCGI, PHP-FPM, APC on virtualmin panel with nginx front end reverse proxy

  My dream setup: php 5.3.6 + mysql 5.5.10 on Apache2, FastCGI, PHP-FPM, APC with nginx 1.0 front end reverse proxy. And as free server management panel: Virtualmin GPL on centos 5.6 In a new centos 5.6 setup. Using this code for installing virtualmin: wget http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/scripts/install.sh chmod +x install.sh ./install.sh After setup, i see php is 5.1 and mysql is 5.0 version. And system not supporting php-fpm but supporting fcgid wrapper. I did following changes: wget http://dl.iuscommunity.org/pub/ius/stable/Redhat/5/x86_64/ius-release-1.0-6.ius.el5.noarch.rpm wget http://dl.iuscommunity.org/pub/ius/stable/Redhat/5/x86_64/epel-release-1-1.ius.el5.noarch.rpm rpm -Uvh ius-release*.rpm epel-release*.rpm yum install yum-plugin-replace yum remove mysql.i386 yum replace mysql --replace-with mysql55 service mysqld restart chkconfig mysqld on mysql_upgrade --password=1234 yum replace php --replace-with php53u yum install php53u-fpm php53u-pecl-apc service httpd restart chkconfig php-fpm on service php-fpm start I am not sure why virtualmin installing both mysql.i386 and 64 bit version together but needed to remove one of them for using yum replace. So i had php 5.3.6 + mysql 5.5.10 with PHP-FPM, APC installed. But virtualmin not supporting PHP-FPM + fastcgi and its still running on fcgid. I am ultra newbie on server management so i couldnt find workaround after this. I want to switch fcgid wrapper to PHP-FPM + fastcgi at least for 1 virtual server. And if i can find a fix for this section, i want to setup nginx 1.0 as front end reverse proxy for serving static files and passing php files to apache. http://nginxcp.com/ is what i want but its for cpanel.
