  • In what situations does Flash SWF misbehaves in different browsers.

    Hi, Recently I had some issues with Flash in IE, involving a SWF which is something like a gallery. In Firefox its loads perfectly, but in IE it doesn't work properly sometimes. The first time it is loaded its works fine but when I refresh all the images are blank. The image data came from XML. I wish to get some tips regarding the browsers and Flash / SWF behavior in each.   • IE rendering problem of data

    I have a tableview that my app shows when it loads, I would like to somehow put a banner at the bottom that if connceted to the internet will check my server for any new image files and if there are it will replace the current one and if not it will just leave it. It looks like this: 0x89504E470D0A1A0A0000000D49484452000000F00000014008020000000D8A66040.... <truncated for brevity> When I load it in from the database it comes in as a byte[]. How can I convert the string value to a byte array myself. (I am trying to remove the db for some testing code.)

  • How to create a Link that supplies its own Markup?

    I'm trying to create a link that will hide or show a part of my page. The link should be reusable and display one of two images, depending on state. Adding the two subcomponents on every page where I use the link is kind of clunky so I wanted to create a component that behaves like a link while automatically adding its content. But I'd really like to keep the link and not package it inside a Panel, as I would not be able to style the link in the markup. I'm also open to alternatives to encapsulate the link and its body.

    I am trying to make a custom selection box for an image view I created and I am trying to use strokeRect: from NSBezierPath but it always seems to be transparent. Called the method set to set the color the blackColor and then also tried using olorWithDeviceRed:green:blue:alpha: but no matter what I have tried the rectangle created always seems to be transparent. Is there a better method to use to draw an empty rectangle?
