    I wrote this function: static bool colorIsEmpty(const Color col) { return (col[0] == 0 && col[1] == 0 && col[2] == 0 ); } where Color is simply a float[3]; the function doesn't work if col[3] are all 0; but this works: if(col[0] == col[1] == col[2] == 0) { //gets called } however gcc gives me warning: cColorTest.c:212:5: warning: suggest parentheses around comparison in operand of ‘==’ [-Wparentheses] so it would be nice if that function works,why it doesn't work?

I've gotten this to work in two separate functions for each field, but since I have alot of fields, I know there's a better way to solve it. Any suggestions?

    I have a nasty situation. I am using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express edition locally on my pc for testing, and once tested I upload database changes to a remote server. I have a situation where I deleted the Default Database on my local machine, and instead of searching hard enough to find an answer to that problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled Management Studio.     I two modules in same src folder. mod1 declares function I wish to use in module mod2: -module(mod1). -export([myfunc/1]). myfunc(A) -> {ok}. In other module I not import mod1: -module(mod2). If I do "mod1:" in mod2 it recognizes "myfunc", problem is at run-time when I call mod1:myfunc(A) I get "undefined function mod1:myfunc/1" I not understand why I get error if intellisense detect my mod1 function in mod2?

    I was playing around with some code and realized that it is possible to overwrite the argument to a t-sql function. i.e., create function someFn(@date date) as begin if @date is null set @date = getdate() will set @date to be today's date if the argument was null. This appears only to make any sense if t-sql is treating their arguments as references not values. I realized that I don't actually know what the t-sql rules are for cases like this and was hoping someone could elaborate what is going on here. (I don't ever recall seeing any value vs. reference discussion with respect to t-sql code for that matter actually..)

    Here is my problem: I export a database A_DB using "export" function of Phppgadmin. The dump file A_dump.sql includes both the database structure and data. Then I try to create another blank database B_DB, and import A_dump.sql into it.     I am working on an enterprise level product that is designed around SQL Server Express and specifically its features (views, concurrent users, stored procedures, CASE and IF statements). Though we don't use any advanced SQL Server features, the database size limit of 4GB in the Express edition may up being a limitation. A work-around is that customers can move to more full-featured versions of SQL Server. The problem is that SQL Server Express deployment is not easy, and the installer size is huge. This is a major drawback for someone looking to try our product. You don't want end-users to not buy a product because the download is huge. Does anyone have any recommendations of a database that has a smaller footprint but all the features of Express and which can be migrated to express?

My current function declaration is . . . char * afterURL replaceURLS(char * body) What I want to do is copy all of body's data into a new string, and set body to point to this new data.     Hi there, I'm building a CMS for my own needs, and finished planning my database layout. Basically I am abstracting all possible data-models into "sections" and all entries into one table. The final layout is as follows: Database diagram: I have yet to be allowed to post images, so here is a link to a diagram of my database. Entries (section_entries) are children of their section (sections). I save all edits to the entries in a new revision (section_entries_revisions), and also track revisions on the sections (section_revisions), in order to match the values of a revision, to the fields of the section that existed when the entry-revision was made. The section-revisions can have a number of fields (section_revision_fields) that define the attributes of entries in the section. There is a many-to-many relationship between the fields (section_revision_fields) and the entry-revisions (section_entry_revisions), that stores the values of the attributes defined by the section revision. Feel free to ask questions if the diagram is confusing. Now, this is the most complex SQL I've ever worked with, and the task of fetching my data is a little daunting. Basically what i want help with, is fetching an entry, when the only known variables are; section_id, section_entry_id. The query should fetch the most recent revision of that entry, and the section_revision model corresponding to section_revision_id in the section_entry_revisions table. It should also fetch the values of the fields in the section-revision. I was hoping for a query result, where there would be as many rows as fields in the section. Each row would contain the information of the entry and the section, and then information for one of the fields (e.g. each row corresponding to a field and it's value). I tried to explain the best I could. Again, feel free to ask questions if my description somehow lacking. I hope someone is up for the challenge. Best regards. :-)

    I wrote a custom resolver class. It works OK for resolving SYSTEM DTDs, but not for resolving PUBLIC DTDs. When the class has to resolve PUBLIC DTDs instead of the URI of the resource, the function receives the public identifier through the absoluteUri parameter of the GetEntity function. Is there a solution to this. In examples: if I have a DTD declaration like <!DOCTYPE document SYSTEM "document.dtd"> then the custom resolver correctly receives the string "document.dtd" through the absoluteUri parameter of the GetEntity function. if I have a DTD declaration like <!DOCTYPE document PUBLIC "-//Organization//DTD Document 1.0//EN" "http://localhost/document.dtd"> then the custom resolver incorrectly receives the string "-//Organization//DTD Document 1.0//EN" instead of "scheme://host/document.dtd".

    Hi, I would like to know if there is an implementation of the foldLeft function (and foldRight?) in R. The language is supposed to be "rather" functional oriented and hence I think there should be something like this, but I could not find it in the documentation. To me, foldLeft function applies on a list and has the following signature: foldLeft[B](z : B)(f : (B, A) => B) : B It is supposed to return the following result: f(... (f(f(z, a0), a1) ...), an) if the list is [a0, a1, ..., an]. (I use the definition of the Scala List API) Does anybody know if such a function exists in R?
