  Problem Description: Write a program in any language with the shortest number of characters that solves the following problem: Given a collection of cities and the cost of travel between each pair of them, find the cheapest way of visiting all of the cities and returning to your starting point. All solutions must take at most polynomial time. Input will be in the form of a text file named simply "i". The text file will contain data in the following format: city1# city2# cost$ cityA# cityB# cost$ ... Each element in the file is separated with a space, and there is a newline at the end of every line. Code count does not include whitespace.   I have dynamic form which has a set of values. I created a partial which contains text fields which I display. Next to each of them I would like to display a label containing the title of the text. For instance First Name, and Last Name would not be known previously. How do I go about doing that? It seems that I cannot access the attributes directly. But when I use the label field, the variable name in the label is displayed not the actual value.

  To simplify this test case, I created a new default .NET MVC project in Visual Studio 2010, and added the following code to the HTML header in Site.Master: <script type="text/javascript" src="../../Scripts/jquery-1.4.1.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery(document).ready(function () { alert('jQuery document ready'); }); </script> This works as expected in the .NET development server. However, when deployed to IIS7, the jQuery(document).ready function is not executed. Needless to say, my actual application is much more complicated. This eliminates all "suspects" except IIS7 deployment. Any thoughts/suggestions?

• XFBML fb:login_button only loading 20% of the time

  I have a fb:login-button that is working but the button only displays about 20% of the time I load the page. Have a look here to see what I mean, bearing in mind I have never had to refresh the page more than 20 times before I finally turns up. • Debugging ASP.NET Strings Downloaded to Browser (Montréal instead of Montréal)

  I'm downloading a vCard to the browser using Response.Write to output .NET strings with special accented characters. Mime type is text/x-vcard and French characters are appearing wrong in Outlook, for example Montréal;Québec .NET string shows as Montréal Québec in browser. I'm using this vCard generator code from CodeProject.com I've played with the System.Encoding sample code at the bottom of this linked MSDN page to convert the unicode string into bytes and then write the ascii bytes but then I get Montr?al Qu?bec (progress but not a win). Also I've tried setting content type to both us-ascii and utf-8 of the response. If I open the downloaded vCard in Windows Notepad and save it as ANSI text (instead of default unicode format) and open in Outlook it's okay. So my assumption is I need to cause download of ANSI charset but am unsure if I'm doing it wrong or have a misunderstanding of where to start. Update: Looking at the raw HTTP, it appears my French characters are being downloaded in the unexpected format so it looks like I need to do some work on the server side... (full size)

  Hello, I am running two processes,Process A is opened by Process B using the following example: createProcessHandle = CreateProcess( TEXT("C:\\Users\Jamie\\Documents\\Application\\Debug\\ProcessA.exe"), TEXT(""), NULL, NULL, FALSE, 0, NULL, NULL, &startupinfo, &process_information ); As you can see the Process is reliant on the path given to it, the problem I have is that if I change the location of my ProcessA.exe (Such as a backup/duplicate) it's a tiresome process to keep recoding the path. I want to be able to make it run no matter where it is without having to recode the path manually. Can anybody suggest a solution to this?

  I've been using the Infragistics UltraWinGrid for a while in a C# project, and while it's very spiffy, it is sometimes a bit heavy to run (and editing it in Visual Studio can be hazardous). I'm looking for a lighter alternative. Looks (always a big plus with Infragistics) are not as important as functionality. Namely, I'm looking for a beefed up DataGridView which: has data binding (duh!) has lock control over editing allows for sub-tables on opening a row can have multiple headers to group columns together (say header 1 is composed of "Group A" and "Group B", and header 2 has various columns under each group) has sorting by column (and can sort numbers properly, even if it does not have a stock method at first) has filtering by column (perhaps the most demanding spec) à la UltraWinGrid/Excel (text field with a way to specify if the filter is equal, not equal, greater, lesser, starts with, ends with, etc). supports check box, text box or data bound list/combo box cells allows cells to be merged (not the control cells of course!) can have events bound to each row (say double click)

They get populated after I scroll up and down a few times. Help? • Blackberry - Exception when sending SMS programmatically

  Hello all, I am developing a Blackberry application. I am trying to send SMS programmatically to GSM number. I have gone through many queries and answers related to that and finally added the code for that as below. When the code tries to execute sending some text message to the particular mobile number, it doesn't send and throws exception as "blocking operation not permitted on event dispatch thread". So i created a separate background thread where i put the SMS code and running the code now. But still observing the same exception. • UltraWebGrid: How to use a drop-down list in a column

  I'm using the Infragistics grid and I'm having a difficult time using a drop-down list as the value selector for one of my columns. I tried reading the documentation but Infragistics' documentation is not so good. I've also taken a look at this discussion with no luck. What I'm doing so far: col.Type = ColumnType.DropDownList; col.DataType = "System.String"; col.ValueList = myValueList; where myValueList is: ValueList myValueList = new ValueList(); myValueList.Prompt = "My text prompt"; myValueList.DisplayStyle = ValueListDisplayStyle.DisplayText; foreach(MyObjectType item in MyObjectTypeCollection) { myValueList.ValueItems.Add(item.ID, item.Text); // Note that the ID is a string (not my design) } When I look at the page, I expect to see a drop-down list in the cells for this column, but my columns are empty.

  I posted a question here a few weeks ago asking about an alternative to creating .fdf files to fill in pdf documents and someone here pointed me to ITextSharp. It's working like a champ so thanks for that. I'd now like to know if ITextSharp has the capability of converting HTML to PDF. Everything I will convert will just be plain text but unfortunately there is very little to no documentation on ITextSharp so I can't determine if that will be a viable solution for me. If it can't do it, can someone point me to some good, free .net libraries that can take a simple plain text HTML document and convert it to a pdf? tia.

I want, in VB.Net, to get the 'COMMANDHERE' part of the string, how would I go about doing this? • HTTPHeaders Added to Downloaded File - CocoaHTTPServer???

  In an iPhone app where I use cocoahttpserver and take a sqlite database file from the iPhone and download it with a browser to my PC, when I look at the downloaded file using TextEdit, I see the text (below) at the end of the file. This text has apparently no effect on use of the database file, but I would prefer to not add stuff to the database file at all. Any ideas where this header info is coming from in cocoahttpserver and how to stop it? • JSF2 ResourceBundleLoader override?

  I need to have resource messages that contain EL expressions be resolved when loaded from a ResourceBundle. Basically I have a number of properties files containing the text. Some of the text will look like the following: welcomeText=Welcome #{userbean.name} The only possible way I can see this working currently is implementing a custom taglib so that instead of saying: <f:loadBundle var="messages" basename="application.messages"/> I would have to use <mytaglib:loadBundle var="messages" basename="application.messages"/> #{messages.welcomeText} Given a user with username "User1", this should output Welcome User1 My implementation would then use a custom ResourceBundle class that would override handleGetObject, use the ELResolver to resolve variables etc....Ideas? suggestings? Implementations that are already available? I appreciate your assistance.

• Linear Layout and weight in Android

  I always read about this funny weight value in the Android documentations. Now I want to try it for the first time but it isn't working at all. As I understand it from the documentations this layout: <LinearLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:orientation="horizontal"> <Button android:text="Register" android:id="@+id/register" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:padding="10dip" weight="1" /> <Button android:text="Not this time" android:id="@+id/cancel" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:padding="10dip" weight="1" /> </LinearLayout> should create two buttons that are horizontally aligned and share the space equally. The problem is the two buttons don't grow to fill the space. The result is something like this: I would like the buttons to grow and fill the whole line.
