  • What's the easy way to test for 304 reponses?

    I need to test if my 304 responses are working, but my development environment is pretty hard set on force no-cache. Is there an easy way to modify the max-age value of the cache-control header before it goes out? I'm perhaps a bit optimistic in hoping chrome (or an extension, or FF) has a console command letting me alter the if-modified-since header then send the request. Maybe paste something into a telnet connection?

    In my MouseDoubleClick i may run into a case where i would like to call all the controls in a list with MouseDoubleClick. However i cant call MouseDoubleClick, only add/remove events to the chain. How do i call MouseDoubleClick/OnMouseDoubleClick? ATM i workaround the problem since i know the objects MouseDoubleClick function and i pass in the parameters myself calling that specific function. How do i call the event in the case i do not know what function is set to the control MouseDoubleClick

    I've looked around a bit for a great JavaScript Sprite Sheet animator lib/engine but couldn't find any good ones so I thought I'd ask around =). What I'm looking for in the engine is: Animate an image in a non-canvas setting (ex: div via css or img tags) Control frame rate/animation speed Flags to loop or to animate once etc. Are there any engines like this out there? If not I can always make my own but then again, I don't want to re-invent the wheel =].

    i have to render a graph in my web page.i have desigened a class( in C#) file which contain a event for rendering a graph(pie chart).In that event i pass some value i.e legends which is a string[] and value which is double[] to draw the graph. But i want that instead of inserting the value directly into the event, pass that value with some function like public void insertvalue(string[] legends,double[] values) { } how could i do that plese help me????????     Yesterday I added a custom MembershipProvider to an ASP.NET web application, but when I deployed the application to its remote host server, it failed. I know I had the login info correct, and I also know that for nearly any exception in the login process, the Login control displays the standard error message, "Your login failed", so I assume something is wrong in the code/config. What can I do to diagnose what is wrong on the server?

  • Css For Gridview paging

    Hi My question is, can I control the style of the paging element separately of top and bottom, I have set the paging to appear in both top and bottom of the gridview, and I want to see that the top pagination is little high up in the page, to do that I used the cssClass and set margin-top:20px and made the position: absolute, this does change the position of the top paging area and set it rightly for me, but the bottom pagination has also come up as a result and now sits inside the grid data!! Is there any way to solve this? Thanks and regards Arunendra

    I'm having an issue with the treeview control from the silverlight 4 toolkit. I can't get it to view to display my data correctly, the toplevel items are shown but the childnodes are nowhere to be seen. More info: I have a wcf service that delivers a list of Categories with nested subcategories to my viewmodel (I made sure to explicitly include my subcategory data).   • Silverlight toolkit chart to many lables on axis

    I'm using the newest chart control from silverlight toolkit to plot some data. For small cases it works ok, but for bigger samples the X axis labels overlap. It would be no problem if the chart would simply omit some of the values or I could specify to just show every 10th of them ... I couldn't find any properties providing this behavior. Any ideas?

    I'd like to read the contents of another process listview control in windows mobile. To do this, I need a pointer to some free memory to that process in order to put the values there (and then read them from my process). This can be done in normal Windows or Win32 with the VirtualAllocEx function. However, this function is not supported in windows mobile ! Can you recommend me a way to allocate that memory?

    Hi, I just noticed that if I have an identity column in a table, when I insert new rows SQL Server 2008 is automatically filling up the sequence if there are discontinuity. I mean, if in my identity column I have 1,2,5,6 if I insert other two rows in the table the system puts automatically 3,7 in the identity column. Do you know how to control this behavior? THANKS

    In what circumstances would updating a UI control from a non-UI thread could cause the processes' handles to continually increase, when using a delegate and .InvokeRequired?     So, here's the deal. I've got two ASP.NET applications, both of which use SQLServer Session State management. They also both use the same server. I've got a custom session class in an external DLL, which fully implements serialization, and which both applications have referenced. Each application, in turn, has a class which inherits from the DLL class, and both applications use their own respective classes for their session state. Now, what I was trying to accomplish was that if you wanted to go to the other application, it could look in the session (they all use the same session key) and treat the existing object there as the base (the one from the DLL), extract whatever login info you need, then overwrite the session object with your own. Unfortunately, when the second application attempts to read the session, it seems that it looks for the DLL of the first application, and when it can't find it, it throws an exception. Is there a flaw in my logic?
