How to create Bitmap object from a Graphics object ? I would like to read pixels from my Graphics object. for example, like, System.Drawing.BitMap.GetPixel(). I am trying to find out empty area (all white, or of any colour) inside a pdf document, to write some graphics / image. jquery ajax vs browser url

Hello all, I'm trying to use youtube's api to bring back a listing of a user's videos. The request url looks something like: http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/username/uploads with 'username' being the correct username. This bring back the appropriate url in the browser. Running external php files or snippets with starting session in Modx?

I want to include an external php script or modx snippet to the index.php but it causes the blank screen instead (and no document parser errors). Probably the problem is that this script i want to include contains starting session functions and set_include_path function that might somehow conflict with Modx parser.. I tried to use the Modx API but it doesn't seem to work. I use Modx 0.9.2.6 yet.. How can I overcome the issue? My script checks the session and database if the user is logged-in on the site (logging system is not modx-based) and then prints the menu depends on the user privileges...

In case of html5 drag and drop you need to have site opened and have opened that page which is about file upload. You need to select all and drag and drop. after drag and drop file is simply uploaded to server and site show you on list (if no error happen). but this file upload is seriously not worthy since I have to open the site when I do this operation. Through this post I want to describe a feature that can make this thing better. This API is simply called SASS FILE UPLOAD API Through This API when you surf the site and come into file upload page then the page will tell you that we also have SASS FILE API support. JQuery Autocomplete CSS not working?

I am trying to implement JQuery Autocomplete pluggi using Django. I've been able to wire the thing together and I can actually see the result back in the HTML template. My problem is that the JQuery Autocomplete CSS doesn't seem to work. The results I get are not well formatted/styled, and they have no background and you cannot even select them. What is it that am missing? I have these three files in my media folder same folder: autocomplete.js dimensions.js autocomplete.css In my html template I have the following function: $(function(){ setAutoComplete("tags", "tagResults", "/taglookup/?query="); }); My textfield looks like this; <input type="text" name="tags" value=""> Where do I put the tagResults in my HTML template document? Every time I try to introduce a DIV with id="tagResults", JQuery throws an error. Any ideas?

Safari javascript cookie issue

I've hit a bit of a weird issue in Safari in regards to setting a js cookie. The cookie itself is just a rgb colour value, which gets set using .click(), and is working fine in Chrome and Firefox, yet in Safari the value of the cookie is incomplete, showing up as rgb(193 instead of rgb(193, 184, 76) as the other browsers do. Write large PDFs with Java sequentially

I am looking for a Java library that let's you write large PDFs sequentially with a minimum amount of memory. Most of the libraries I had a look at has to build up the document in memory first before you can actually write it. The problem I have to deal with are OutOfMemoryErrors. It would be great if I could flush the writer programmatically whenever needed e.g. for each page. Does anyone have any recommendations? I need something with a license along the lines of the LGPL (so not the GPL or the Affero GPL that iText uses).

How to Format Code in Research Reports

I am currently writing a formal research report, and I'll be including code with this report. Question: Is there an accepted way of displaying code in research reports? I'm thinking both in terms of font, spacing, et cetera, and whether the code should be displayed inside the document, or in an appendix. The code will be JavaScript and PHP. None of the sections of code will be more than 25 lines (so they're mere snippets). There will be approx. half a dozen snippets. Each of the snippets will have a couple of paragraphs explaining what is happening in the code, and a discussion on its pros/cons. I have no contact with the body the report will be submitted to, and they have no published guidelines on how to format code (please do not question these points). Any help considered and appreciated.

I have just started learning all this coding language and the teacher is asking us to do the following. I know it may sound really easy for people who do this full time or have more time coding. The teacher is always telling us to GOOGLE everything and I have tried too many sites but I haven't found anything that helps me at all. I need to write two JSON documents (products and categories) using PHP that will dynamically read values from my MySQL database. When each document is called upon, it will return perfectly formatted JSON that will validate using http://jsonlint.com/ Honestly I don't know what to do. I don't understand PHP and now this JSON thing is making it more confusing.

Slider with keypress control bugs when keys pressed to quickly.

Hello, I've made a slider that uses the left and right arrow keys to move the slide but when pressed to quickly it will bug a little and I was wondering if it's possible to limit the amount of presses in say a second. ASP.NET MVC v1 project upgraded to VS 2010 no longer will debug. Why?

I'm getting the message "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document." I have a S#arp Architecture project (ASP.NET MVC v1) that has been opened and upgraded to be used in VS 2010. I can no longer debug the project. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. I have IE set to be my default browser. I have the build set to debug. System.Web.Mvc is referenced in my project's lib dir. I've cleaned the solution. I've recompiled the solution. It's set to use .NET Framework 3.5. PDBs are being created and dropped into the bin directory with the DLLs. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What tool/framework to use for technical documentation?

We develop products and frameworks to be used with in our organization. I am looking for programmer friendly documentation tools. I have researched on few options sometime back but couldn't decide which one to use. I am looking for suggestions from the people who already used these tools. docbook: springframework and hibernate use this format and this looks good. but I believe they have customized the default xslt/stylesheet. Can I copy and use their xslt and css (ofcourse with colors and images changed). Can I integrate the doc generation using maven? wiki: this is not friendly to the technical document writers and the documentation doesn't look professional. versioning is also not possible I believe word docs: this is what we use currently but it is hard to link and reuse common documents. DITA?

Java library for converting Word documents to PDFs or images

Hey there What I need to do is convert Microsoft Word .doc files to PDFs or images. This has to occur in Java. I have done a fair bit of investigation already. I've tried Davisor Publishor but it doesn't give me the accuracy that I need - for instance text overlapping in the output document. Adobe has something called LiveCycle. Anyone tried this? It looks quite massive and a bit of overkill (its an "integrated server solution"). Sounds expensive. Saying that, it doesn't have to be free, or cheap. Even if you just know some names, please shout them my way. Many thanks in advance. Doug

Will the <b> and <i> tags ever become deprecated?

(This is more of a curiousity question than any pending disaster :D ) So the <b> and <i> tags have been around since near the beginning of the web (I assume). But now we have CSS and many people apposing "stylistic html tags." They are stylistic tags, but they're really not so bad, as they save us from having to make a <span class="bold"> a whole bunch of times, reducing download times. Seeing as they don't take up much space, are easy to use, can possibly be useful to screen-readers, search engines, and other applications that don't care much about how a document looks, and removing them would break TONS of html code, I'm guessing probably not, but I still wanted to bring up the topic. :)

We have a youtube player embedded in a plage in Mobile Safari and it works great. But we need to be able to launch the youtube player by a means other than user tapping the video itself, for various reasons. So I am trying to figure out what event to trigger in javascript to make it happen with no luck. None of the following appear to work. var vid = document.getElementById('vid'); vid.click(); vid.onclick(); vid.ontouchend(); vid.ontouchstart(); vid.focus(); I tried to find an event handler added to the embedded object with this snippet, but didn't find anything. for (var key in vid) { if (typeof vid[key] == 'function') console.log(key +': '+ vid[key]); } Is this just so wrapped up in a custom plugin there is no way?

Detect LaTeX class name

I'm working on a LaTeX package which might need to do some things differently depending on the class that's being used. I'm wondering if there's a way to auto-detect or test the document class. One could certainly look up the class files and test for the existence of a specific macro defined by that class, but is there a smarter way? I looked at the definition of the \ProvidesClass macro and can't see if it saves the class name anywhere except \@currname. I believe \@currname is just the name of the current package or class being read. Basically I want to execute \author{\longauthorname} in the article class but \author[\shortauthorname]{\longauthorname} in the beamer class.

I used multibox-component to create lightbox-similar div. But I faced problem. I placed textbox with id ‘tbx_position’ in that div. I entered some symbols in textbox and then tried to read value via javascript-function (it had to alert document.getElementById(‘tbx_position’).value). Every time that value was empty. There is example of it. Furthermore, if I place in the div asp:Button, server OnClick-eventhandler doesn’t catch fire. Is any idea, what’s reason? Thanks.
