  • Moving a sprite around the circumference of a circle in Cocos2d-iPhone

    I am new to Cocos2d. I have taken a look at the documentation at it looks pretty simple compared to what you need to do using basic Iphone classes such as UIAnimation etc. I want to move a Sprite (eg. Bird, Plane or Car) around the center of a circle around its circumference, smoothly so that even the sprite rotates accordingly. How is this possible in Cocos2d? It would be very helpful if someone can post some basic code. Thanks.

  • Problems with Widgets in dojox DataGrid

    I am trying to include some editing Widgets in my dojox.grid.DataGrid seem to be having a lot of difficulty. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to work, but something just isn't going right. When I started having problems, I tried to copy almost exactly from the grid tests and model my "breakout" of code just like that, but without success. Basic editing of the Grid seems to work. In the example below, the "Events" column allows edits, but the two columns that are using the cellType attribute don't work. In fact they also seem to ignore the other attributes (like the styles) which would seem to indicate that some sort of issue was run into, but there is nothing in FireBug. It would seem to be fundamental, but I just can't seem to see it. [EDIT] What I have done instead is return a dijit Widget using the formatter to return a widget.   • "Requested registry access is not allowed." on Windows 7 / Vista

    I'm attempting to write a key to Registry. It works on Windows XP, but fails on Windows 7 / Vista. The code below throws a Security Exception with description "Requested registry access is not allowed." RegistryKey regKey = Registry.LocalMachine.OpenSubKey("SOFTWARE\\App_Name\\" + subKey, true); I realise that this has to do with the UAC settings, but I couldn't figure out an ideal workaround. I don't want to fork out another process, and may be don't even want to request for any credentials. Just want it to work the same way as on Windows XP. I have modified the manifest file and removed requestedExecutionLevel node. This seems to do the trick. Is there any other possible workaround, and are there any serious flaws with the "manifest" solution?

    When overlay is a Google maps overlay and offsetx, offsety is the pixel distance from the maps center that I want to pan latlong to, the following works. var projection = overlay.getProjection(); var pxlocation = projection.fromLatLngToContainerPixel(latlong); map.panTo(projection.fromContainerPixelToLatLng(new google.maps.Point(pxlocation.x+offsetx,pxlocation.y+offsety))); However, I don't always have an overlay on the map and map.getProjection() returns a projection, not a MapCanvasProjection which does not have the methods I need. Is there a way to do this without making an overlay specificaly for it?

  • Building Eclipse RCP application, running fails

    Hi, after successfully building my application the start fails because it relies on config files which are located in the META-INF directory and after the build this directory is zipped into a jar file, hence making it unable to access the config files. After manually unzipping the jar, deleting the jar and renaming the directory with xxx.jar the program runs without a problem. The config files are needed for SSO login (Kerberos). Here is the code: Bundle bundle = Platform.getBundle(Application.PLUGIN_ID); String path; try { path = new URL(bundle.getLocation().substring(18)).getPath(); } catch (MalformedURLException e1) { System.out.println(e1); path=""; } System.setProperty("java.security.auth.login.config",path+"META-INF/jaas-win.config"); Path variable contains something like "plugin/mydomain.pluginame-xxxx.jar/" But it seems that the System needs the jar unzipped.     I have a Class Library, which inside just has a DataSet (MySQL connector) and a Connector class. I use this class in multiple projects to connect to the database, and I always had the password embedded in the connection string but now I need to be able to modify this string(for security purposes) so I can have the user connect using their own account. How can I modify this connection string. I have tried the following Properties.Settings.Default.DataBaseConnectionString = "String"; But it seems that the connection string is readonly becase it doesn't appear to have a setter value. I also tried the following with no luck Properties.Settings.Default.DatabaseConnectionString.Insert( Properties.Settings.Default.DatabaseConnectionConnectionString.Length - 1, "Password=dbpassword;");

  • Cannot get NLogViewer to receive msgs from local machine

    I cannot get NLogViewer to receive msgs from local machine. My machine is Windows 7. I am able to get a remote machine to send NLog messages to my local box and NLogViewer on my local box shows the message fine. But, if I run an app locally, and config NLog to spit messages to my local box, NLogViewer doesn't get the messages.     Hi All, I'm switching from v2 to v3 google maps api and got a problem with gMap.getBounds() function. I need to get the bounds of my map after its initialization. I've tryed to get getBounds values in click event and it works fine for me, but I cannot get the same results in load map event. Also getBounds works fine while document is loading in Google Maps API v2, but it fails in V3. Could you please help me to solve this problem?

  • How can I use the SSRS ReportViewer from VS 2008 in a VS2010 project?

    Hi, I'm working on an ASP.NET MVC 2 / .NET 3.5 project which includes SSRS 2008 reports. After migrating to VS 2010 RC, the new web forms report viewer has been giving so much trouble that I'd like to use the old report viewer from VS 2008 again. Now I'm just wondering what would be the easiest way to do that. The report viewer is embedded in a Webforms ASPX file which is loaded in an IFrame by the the MVC view. Report parameters are currently stored as session variables, and for security reasons I would prefer not to change that for HTTP POST or GET parameters. So I can't just put the report viewer in a separate application and build that with VS2008. Moving the entire project back to VS 2008 is not an option. So, what's the easiest way for me to use the VS 2008 ReportViewer in VS 2010? Is there way to grab an assembly from VS 2008 and use that in my project? Thanks, Adrian

  • Logging exceptions in WCF with IErrorHandler inside HandleError or ProvideFault?

    I'm using IErrorHandler to do exception handling in WCF and now I want to log the exceptions, along with the stack trace and the user that caused the exception. I've read everywhere to put the logging in the HandleError method, and not the ProvideFault method. My question is, why? The only way I can see to get the user that caused the exception is: OperationContext.Current.IncomingMessageProperties.Security.ServiceSecurityContext.PrimaryIdentity ...But this only seems to work inside ProvideFault, and not inside HandleError. Is there a way to get the user inside HandleError?

    Is anyone aware of of anybody offering hosted perforce servers? It doesn't have to be free - but preferably not too expensive! My understanding of Perforce is that it's free to use for personal projects, which mine is. Currently I have a perforce server setup on the same machine as the code is on which doesn't offer much security in case of computer failure. If not, can anyone recommend one of the alternative solutions that is similar to Perforce? I have experience of SVN but cannot say I enjoy the experience.

  • JMF Registry could not add item (Vista)

    Hello, I'm using JMF to capture video stream (webcam) on my Java project. The camera I'm using is recognized by JMF (JFMStudio) and I manage to get the video stream. However, on JMF Registry Editor - there's a list of available capture devices, when I click "Add" on one of the items (including the one I need) I get a "Could not add item" error. Therefore this camera is not set in the registry of it (god know where) and later on it is not recognized by my project: RGBFormat fmt = new RGBFormat(); // could be YUV - doesn't matter Vector v = CaptureDeviceManager.getDeviceList(fmt); v is empty (while I know the video source is recognized by Java , since I manage to get video on JMF Studio). Now, this happens only on Vista (where else) and not on XP. I have a suspiction that somehow Vista security blocks Java from writing the registry file, but of course, I might be wrong. One more comments: this is vfw:Microsoft WDM Image Capture(Win32):0 device. Any idea ?

    My goal is to deploy a simple rails application on a windows server using the glassfish gem. I have no trouble getting the glassfish gem to work with regular http, however I now need to add SSL security and I cannot find any links on how to enable https in the glassfish gem. Has anyone succeeded in setting up the glassfish gem to support SSL? Are there any other ways to serve a rails application over SSL on windows without any additional software installation (e.g. IIS, Glassfish, jBoss)?

  • openvpn: after changing to server mode, client does not create TUN device

    i had a previously working configuration with the config files used in a previous question However, i've changed this now to the following configuration using server mode, everything on the logs seem fine, however the client doesn't create any tun interface, so i don't have anything to connect to, presumably, i need to add or push some route commands, but i don't have any idea at this point what i need to do.     Hello: I am designing a report that will be used in local mode (an RDLC file) in a Winform app. I have a custom assembly with a static class that has some functions that I want to use inside of the report (as expressions). I have found all sorts of help for doing this with RDL reports, but I'm running into a permissions problem with my RDLC report. I get the following error at runtime: "The report references the code module (my module), which is not a trusted assembly". I know that this is some kind of a code security issue, but I'm not sure what to do to fix it. The documentation that I have seen online is aimed at RDL reports, and it instructs me to edit a SQL Server-specific policy file. I'm using RDLC, so there is no sql server involved. What do I need to do to acquire the appropriate permissions?

Can you guys let me know if there is a good way of handling this in LINQ to SQL? We use stored procedures for Insert, Update and Delete but use LINQ to SQL for all our selects (ease of use).   • Handling redirected URL within Flex app?

    We have a Flex client and a server that is using the Spring/Blazeds project. After the user logs in and is authenticated, the spring security layer sends a redirect to a new URL which is where our main application is located. However, within the flex client, I'm currently using HTTPService for the initial request and I get the redirected page sent back to me in its entirety. How can I just get the URL so that I can use navigatetourl to get where the app to go where it needs to? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

    I'm using ASP.NET Membership and Form Authentication and before redirecting to the returnURL I wanted to validate it. For those unfamiliar with the workflow, basically if you request a page that requires that you are authenticated, you are redirected to a login page. In the URL string you'll see a parameter called returnURL, e.g. http://example.com/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fprotected%2fdefault.aspx Whether you use this in a redirect such as Response.Redirect(returnURL) or indirectly through the FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage method, it passes without validating returnURL. FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage does have a security check that it is isn't leaving the domain, but that still doesn't stop someone from putting enough random characters to cause an error. I tried using System.IO.File.Exists(Server.MapPath(returnURL)) but given enough illegal characters it cause Server.MapPath to error. Note: URLEncoding doesn't work because we are not cleaning a parameter, but the primary URL. Any other suggestions for validating or cleaning the returnURL value?

    Hi, I recently deploy an application that uses asp.net membership (SqlMembershipProvider) and I dont know why but it automatically log out after 1 minute of inactivity. This doesn´t happen on my development environment. I even set the userIsOnlineTimeWindow to 60 which is supposed to be in minutes. Any ideas why this is happening? Im deploying to a virtual directory on a shared hosting environment.
