    I have been researching all day. Here is what I have done: In C:/PHP/php.ini and C:/PHP/php-cgi-fcgi.ini I have made the extension_dir = "C:/PHP/ext" I uncommented extension=php_openssl.dll I went to http://windows.php.net/download/ and got the thread safe version with the PHP 5.4 (5.4.8) version of DLL's In C:/PHP/ext I replaced the php_openssl.dll with the one I downloaded In System32 and SysWOW64 I added the following DLL's ssleay.dll libeay.dll I restarted the IIS server in the Server Manager under Web Server and stopped and started the World Wide Web Publishing Service That didn't work, so I tried same thing with the unthreaded versions.   • Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: socket write error

    I running JSP on Oracle 11g, Weblogic 10.3.4. I have 2 managed server and a oracle admin server installed. I am encountering an error where intermittently the log file of the 2 managed server and admin server will show java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: socket write error. The application can run for 2 days without showing this error or it can show up a few times in a day. The server load are similar everday. When this error is been encountered, the server will just stop accepting connections and will not be able to access the application. Even if I try to access the application through localhost, I will not be able to access the JSP pages and a 503 http status is shown but then I am able to access the static HTML page. I will not be able to access the Oracle 11g Weblogic admin console page. When I take a look at admin server log, it shows that the managed servers are disconnected from the admin server and vice versa. Magically the application is able to recover by its own and the application is able to access again or I need to restart the server as restarting the service of the application does not work. The FTP connections that the application is connected to are closed as well. I am able to ping to telnet to the server port. The event log doesn't seem to be leaving any information. We did run wireshark to see the packet traffic and it seems that the application port is sending a RST, ACK packet to the load balancer. Any kind help will greatly be appreciated.     At the Amazon RDS FAQ there is the question "What is a database instance (DB Instance)?". The entire answer (as of mid-June 2012) is: You can think of a DB Instance as a database environment in the cloud with the compute and storage resources you specify. You can create and delete DB Instances, define/refine infrastructure attributes of your DB Instance(s), and control access and security via the AWS Management Console, Amazon RDS APIs, and Command Line Tools. Multiple MySQL databases or SQL Server databases (up to 30) or Oracle database schemas can be created on a given DB Instance. The last part of that quote, "Multiple MySQL databases or SQL Server databases (up to 30) Oracle database schemas" I interpret to mean that you can have an "unlimited" number of databases on an RDS MySQL or Oracle instance but only 30 databases on an MS SQL Server instance ("unlimited" meaning not limited by the RDS infrastructure itself). This was asked in the Stackoverflow question Does Amazon RDS support multiple databases per instance?. The answer quoted an older version of the FAQ. What I am looking for is an Amazon document that clarifies this question, or else someone who has experience using Amazon RDS who can attest what the situation actually is.

    Hi, I want to install GDB GNU debugger for debugging C Programs, onto my fedora machine.. I installed the gzip file from gnu website, but it gives error during MAKE command.. I am doing all the steps correctly which reading from the readme file, and tutorial on internet. Please guide. Also i am trying to do from yum install gdb command and sudo apt-get install gdb, yum is not found in my system, i installed it, but now it is giving some unusual error, some file missing..   • Why are all of my ZFS snapshot directories empty?

    I'm running an Oracle 11 box as a ZFS storage appliance, and I'm taking regular snapshots of the ZFS filesystems, via cron. In the past, I know that if I wanted to grab a particular file from a snapshot, a read-only copy was kept in .zfs/snapshot/{name}/ and I could just navigate there and pull the file out. This is documented on Oracle's website. However, I went to do this the other day, and noticed that the ZFS directories within the snapshot directories are all empty. zfs list -t snapshot correctly shows the list of snapshots that should be present, and .zfs/snapshots correctly contains a directory for each snapshot, and in each snapshot there is a directory present for each ZFS filesystem. However, these directories appear to be empty. I just tested a restore by touching a file in a little-used share and rolling back to the latest hourly snapshot, and this appears to have worked fine. So the rollback functionality is there. Did Oracle change how snapshots are done? Or is something seriously wrong here?

  • ant compile problem

    If I start ant compile in JDeveloper all classes are compiled successfully and copied to the classes folder. But if I run ant compile from console then no classes are copied to the classes folder. Does anyone know why?     A couple of times I've been in the situation where I've wanted to refactor the design of some model and have ended up putting update logic in migrations. However, as far as I've understood, this is not good practice (especially since you are encouraged to use your schema file for deployment, and not your migrations). How do you deal with these kind of problems? To clearify what I mean, say I have a User model. Since I thought there would only be two kinds of users, namely a "normal" user and an administrator, I chose to use a simple boolean field telling whether the user was an adminstrator or not. However, after I while I figured I needed some third kind of user, perhaps a moderator or something similar. In this case I add a UserType model (and the corresponding migration), and a second migration for removing the "admin" flag from the user table. And here comes the problem. In the "add_user_type_to_users" migration I have to map the admin flag value to a user type. Additionally, in order to do this, the user types have to exist, meaning I can not use the seeds file, but rather create the user types in the migration (also considered bad practice).     I'm coming to Postgres from Oracle and looking for a way to find the table and index size in terms of bytes/MB/GB/etc, or even better the size for all tables. In Oracle I had a nasty long query that looked at user_lobs and user_segments to give back an answer. I assume in Postgres there's something I can use in the information_schema tables, but I'm not seeing where. Thanks in advance.

    Hi, I have incorporated tinymce into my application. When i execute the jsp standalone, the print size seem consistent to what it should be i.e. 12Pt comes out as 12pt. Whereas when i run the same jsp from oracle developer using oracle application server 12pt comes out to be more like 8pt. Any thoughts. Please share any pointers. Thanks, Ashok
