In Python 2.6.4: >> Decimal('0') > 9999.0 True From the answer to my original question I understand that when comparing objects of different types in Python 2.x the types are ordered by their name. But in this case: >> type(Decimal('0')).__name__ > type(9999.0).__name__ False Why is Decimal('0') > 9999.0 == True then? But the same code doesn't work in another app. I'm not able to figure it out. Please help. At times I get the following error after the above statement is printed (and the mail is not sent). com.google.appengine.repackaged.com.google.common.base.internal.Finalizer getInheritableThreadLocalsField: Couldn't access Thread.inheritableThreadLocals. Reference finalizer threads will inherit thread local values. But the mail quota usage keeps increasing. Remember, this works fine in one application, but not in other. I'm using the same set of email addresses in both the apps (for from and to). I'm really stuck with this. Appreciate any help. Thank you. Velu

    I have implemented a small ordering and stock control system (for internal using) with the MVC 2 framework. Now my friends, they want to have a website to present the existing products for their customers. I know, I know they will ask me to do this one day. So in the beginning, I have made the controller name to start with "Admin". But now I am not sure the best way to implement their requirements. Could you advise me? 1.For the security reason, I did not allowed anonymous user to access the website a part from the CSS and image files. My question is the controllers' name are not folders' name, how could I set this up? 2.I'm planning to put the admin section into an "area" and will it be a good way to go?     In Excel I have a list of names that in the cell appear stacked, and I want each name in its own column. I was thinking Python may be a good way to do this? Example: Joe Smith John Hawk Mike Green Lauren Smith One cell will look exactly like that, with each name on its line within the cell but all of the names contained in the cell. I have 50 cells each with 1-20 stacked names and I want to put each name in its own cell on a given row. So, in my example all of those names would occupy the same row but each would have their own column. Any ideas?

    For example, i have a column named EmployeeName. Every time a user changes/fix his name, i need to keep a count. If he changes his name twice, then count is 2. Also, i need to store the time of every change employee makes on EmployeeName e.g. if the name essentially is James and time created is 9:00 AM and then employee changes to John on 11:00 AM, i need to preserve this new time and new value as well as the previous one which is James at 9:00 AM. I hope its clear! Thank you guys...Best Answer will be chosen... If this requires a trigger, giving a sketchy pseudo-code will be very much appreciated.

    Is there a way to make the DataContractSerializer serialize a [MessageContract] the same way it appears when transmitted over SOAP?     I have a script that parses the filenames of TV episodes (show.name.s01e02.avi for example), grabs the episode name (from the www.thetvdb.com API) and automatically renames them into something nicer (Show Name - [01x02].avi) The script works fine, that is until you try and use it on files that have Unicode show-names (something I never really thought about, since all the files I have are English, so mostly pretty-much all fall within [a-zA-Z0-9'\-]) How can I allow the regular expressions to match accented characters and the likes? While login from my application, Im setting the session and redirecting to pages controller, but there I could not able to get the session. If I redirect to some other controller, Im getting the session over there. I have a table with name "pages", and when the user clicks on the links (passing page name), Im taking data from that table and displaying using pages_controller. Can I not use "pages" as table name ? Or session won't work in pages_controller ?

    Hello, I have a couple of sites that are currently under development and I've put them under a specific subfolder for clients/co-workers to view - "http://dev.staffanestberg.com/site-name/". I've run into some problems getting the sites working with .htaccess. I can reach the index page by typing in the url for a site folder but neither img/style/js/etc linking or page rewriting works. Looking for a solution to this, Apache's "RewriteBase" seems to be the most likely one, however I can't get it to work. Tried RewriteBase http://dev.staffanestberg.com/site-name/ RewriteBase /site-name What would be the correct method? Thanks in advance, -Staffan

    suppose i have a dll with 2 functions.name of dll="dll1" f1(int a, int b, int c); f2(int a); my program would take the funtion name ,the dll name and a "list" of parameters as input. how would i call the appropriate function with its appropriate parameters. i.e, if input is dll1 f1 list(5,8,9) this would require me to call f1 with 3 parameters if input was dll1 f2 list(8) it would require me to call f2 with one parameter how would i call the function without knowing the number of parameters in advance. further clarification: how do I write code that will call any function with all its arguments by building the argument list dynamically using some other source of information

Still get this error: txtBox is null txtBox.focus(); The last line isn't working. After I create the textbox, I can't set focus to it. Is there any way of doing so?

    I m trying to make a utility to generate a Insert script of sql tables along with relational table. I got all the values in c#. Now I want to remove the one column name and its value from the script.most probably the identity column. Eg. The string I have (which keeps on changing with table name and varies) INSERT Core.Customers ([customerId],[customername],[customeradress],[ordernumber]) Values(123,N'Rahul',N'244 LIZ MORN',2334) NOW I know I have to remove CustomerId. (sometimes need to be replaces with @somevariable) Please give me an efficient way how to retrieve customerId value and Deleting column name and value . Conditions: insert script length and columns names keep changing. Method should return the deleted value. At some point of time customer id can be same as order id. In that case my string.remove method fails.
